Cheremy LeBeau
Haruhi from The Melancholy of Susumiya Haruhi - Can't say the characters are mad about her exactly, but she's still not BFF material XP

True, but with the exception of Kyon the characters around her were more or less there out of necessity rather than friendship.

You're right, I suppose they have to put up with her no matter what. Still, it adds to the comedy XP

Mary-Sues are so generic they've completely upgraded from stereotypes to a whole new level. Just like meganekkos and perverts.

Er... the guy/girl that constantly keeps a smile on their face to hide the hurricane of angst that is their soul? xD; Fai from Tsubasa comes to mind...

Also the point in a fight where the protagonist is losing, then has this amazing revelation and suddenly starts kicking a**. Sometimes there's a flashback involved. Happens all the time in Pokemon. ;>>

Bleach and DBZ also spring to mind. It's like the plot basis for every typical shōnen series (x___X)

It gets so repetitive after a while the series in itself gets dull. emo

Oh so ture, so true - and it happens in a lot of stuff, movies, books. . .it has to be there. I hate repeated plot lines and such. They make me gag. I mean. . .I can predict plots now - that's sad. really really, sad.

And I hate mary-sues. Let's go on a mob hunt, shall we? : D

Haha, I'd love to XD

I think repetitive plotlines are okay for childreen, as they somehow manage never to get bored of the same old story. However, shōnen is also a genre enjoyed by older boys and even a fair number of females. It's a little insulting to shōnen than some series have such poor plots.

I've seen this ending quite a few times, and it gets sooo annoying...

The main character is fighting a foe that they have no chance of beating (this is the final fight, btw). The bad guy dies, but we see something happen (such as a bomb going off, etc etc) that makes us think the main character is dead. Then, all the other people on the show get together, and we see a shadow we are suppose to assume is our fallen hero. Then it ends without showing their face.
