thestarthatshines Though technically The Golden Compass was made into a movie (which stunk). The books would rock socks as an anime (despite the fact that I don't like the second and third ones). :Back on topic: To Catch a Thief, The Great Escape, The Great Dictator, and The Fugitive would all make extremely interesting anime in my opinion. I knew somebody would mention that (x___X!) *dies*

Definitely have wasted some time and some money. urk. Horrid. Some people just can't adapt books into movies - they always screw it up.

Has anyone mentioned 'Pirates of the Carribean'? Even if it is a Disney production, it would still be good I bet

I think I was almost eighteen when the film came out, so I didn't see it. I did see a stage version of Northern Lights however, which was utterly fantastic! (Yes, "Northern Lights", that's how we refer to it in the UK...where it was written! (,,#゚Д゚):∴;'・,;`:ゴルァ!!)

And I knew about the name change - I don't understand why they do it, it's stupid. The changing of the title of the first Harry Potter book annoyed me, because I was like "what's a sorcerer's stone?" and then My sister told me it was originally the Philosopher's stone and it all made sense. Do publishing companies over here think we're stupid?

@Star: I always was curious why it was Sorcerers Stone instead of Philosophers xD. The only guess I can come up with is the fact that it was made my two wizards, Flamel and Dumbledore. I don't know if that's the reasoning or not, haven't the slightest idea a'tall.
