Another Question : are we going to some time-skipping between the Hatching, Weyrlinghood (learning to be riders) and riderhood (actually fighting Thread) so that we can make use of fully fledged riders?

I suspect it will either be skipped, or there will be some heavily condensed lessons. More of lectures for characters to read over rather than lessons for people to participate in. The adults can have stuff to do either interacting with the weyrlings or doing Thread flights while the little ones are training and such.

I HAS THE JOURNAL! xd It's suites_weyr. Or, if you're lazy and need a link... The Archives. I don't have anything but the color tree up yet, but I'm planning on putting up a detailed description of the origins of Pern and the origins of dragons up there soon as well as an explanation of dragon/firelizard eye colors and what they mean. The dragons and firelizards will also get a full physical description and, if I can wrangle it, some pictures scanned from The Dragonlover's Guide to Pern.

^_^ Not at all. It entertains the heck out of me. I'll probably pull most of the information from the guide, but where it seems to contradict the majority of the books, I'll alter it to that... Is that ok?
Example: The books talk about how hot the sands are, and how Lessa always wears boots onto the Hatching Grounds, how funny it is to see the Lords and Ladies mincing across in shoes, but then in the guide they have F'lessan on the Grounds barefoot! The Candidates wouldn't be able to walk for days!
