shia struggles for about an hour and just as she is about to give up she gets a glimmer of something... but is it past or present or even a hint of the future to come.... rhea is standing by kero's desk, looking at it with a towel in her hands.... then it fades and she is left exhausted...
she looks at kero and shakes her head... i tried uncle kero... but i don't know... tam calls me a prophet... and da says i'm not at all like him or ma... what's that anyway?

*Kero, who had been looking through her eyes, claps her gently on the back, placing the the dolll into her arms and handing her a glass of water*
That was from last night...she was trying to throw me off the scent, literally, by grabbing with that towel. Okay, little lady...every day, for an hour, you will practice seeing past events.
Now...yer not like yer da....ye'll only get flashes, and ye can't journey there, like yer ma...but every sight mage can see the past, if they try.
Now go play...but stay out of my coccoon...okay?

ummm... uncle kero... i won't touch yer cocoon... but what is it for anyway... me teacher used to say iffin ye know the what and the why ye'll know what to do and what not to do.... i think he meant that if we know why we shouldn't do something we'll understand why we get in trouble when we do...

shia nods and goes back to her room... but is soon bored... so she takes out some of her old lesson books and tries to follow them... but she is missing a few ingredients... so she goes to ask kero iffin he has an herb garden she can harvest some of the items from

ok.... she decides to try to use a small spell her brother taught her as a child to fetch the toys she'd drop and couldn't reach... she sits down... (this is not an easy spell for her) and scrinches up her nose in concentration and stares at the plant, more importantly at the four red blossoms it has on the end of one stalk.... (of course picking a flower which is attached to something is far harder than merely picking something up because she needs to severe the blossoms from the plant without harming it..........
