sweatdrop Hmm, I think the live action version was a lot closer to the book than the cartoon version.

I've never seen the movie versions of Alice in Wonderland. I feel deprived.

I never really watched "kid" movies. I always wound up watching T.M.N.T. or some Bruce Willis movie. I loved the Turtles, and Last Boy Scout was great.

Ahh yes, I remember Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles... I heard they did a new cartoon for it, but I still remember the old cartoon with April in the Bright Yellow Jumpsuit. ^^* I'm feeling old now for some reason.

The new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles show is actually much better than I feared. It's interesting what they decided put in and leave out (Baxter Stockman is black and well groomed, not some white guy looking like a mad scientist). I do miss April being a reporter, but it wouldn't have fit in the story.
There was one episode where she dressed in the jumpsuit and pretended to be a reporter to cause a distraction. It was a nice (relatively) inside joke, and it made me feel nostalgic. The new cartoons just don't have anything on the old ones.

sweatdrop I remember when the T.M.N.T. movies came out they were okay, but they weren't as good as the cartoon in my opinion because they changed a few things.

April...isn't a reporter anymore...? eek
Sadly it seems they just remake old things constantly now-a-days instead of having to try and come up with something original and entertaining, they just take old favorite characters and change them slighlty before reusing them over and over again. -_-* Maybe that is why I don't watch as many american cartoons anymore, and I end up watching so much anime instead.

Nope, she's not a reporter. She was a lab assistant for Baxter Stockman in the beginning, which is actually how the story was originally.
The worst remake so far has to be the new G.I. Joe. They tried to make it a decent show, which was the exact opposite of what made the old one good (sure hovercrafts can drive at a 90 degree angle). And the new Sonic just isn't cool.
My problem with anime is getting animes to watch. I'm not a fan of the ones they show on Cartoon Network (Lupin the Third is the greatest), so I'm pretty much forced to buy anything I want to watch.

They tried to re-make G.I. Joe... *Shakes my head*
I like a lot of different anime. I watch some of the shows on adult swim like Full Metal Alchemist (which I now have about half of fansubbed on my harddrive) but I also go to anime club every friday, so I get to see other shows and at least see if I like them before I go out and buy them.
I never really was that much of a Lupin fan, but I usually just don't care too much for the older style. Some of the really old animes that show their age like that I have a harder time getting into.

I don't really care for FMA, but that's because whiney main characters get on my nerves.
I don't really have any resources for anime, other than the internet so I hesitate to buy much. Though, I did see Van Helsing (show not movie) at Wal-Mart last week and bought that. I was surprised that it is actually a very good show.
I usually just pick up mangas anymore, because then I can at least preview it.

*looks over at my wall of 200+ manga* Mangas are great, especially for an avid reader.
I'm not sure how much of FMA you've seen, but I can say that the characters definatly grow and change over the 51 episodes quite a bit. Of course all anime is a matter of taste and preferences.
I didn't know there was a Van Helsing show. I know i was a bit disapointed in the movie for all the hype it got.
