Exclaimed Kagae slamming the hammer near the man's head causing a distinctive ring to call out through the room, "You know we could just make you better and carry this on until you tell us what we want to know or you could make it end quickly, no more nasty crab man and no more nasty scorpion man either if you just give us the information we ask of you. Before we continue the interrogation, Masuyo: You aren't in a position to actually lose any points of honor (until you hit rank 4, anyways); however, I have to bring up that Soft-Hearted should apply in this situation.
If you allow the interrogation to continue right in front of you, you will be subject to the Soft-Hearted penalties for the next whole day.
Which gives you one of three obvious choices: Stop the interrogation, leave, or deal with it and suck up the penalties. You are, of course, free to commit to your own actions.
Once I have your input on this matter, things will proceed.

At first she tried to justify it. After all, he did just try to kill her for no other apparent reason than because she was there. But as the torture began she began to have doubts. Firstly in the terrible method those two bushi went about it (though admittedly she could hardly expect more from people who had thrown rocks at what they believed at the time to be a common gate guard). At this rate the man would be dead before they learned anything. He would be a happy martyr and they would be back to square one. Only down an extra party member. Then there came the sound of the second blow, though she didn't know it hadn't struck, and all justifications went out the window. She simply couldn't sit by and watch a helpless man be killed. Especially not one that she tied up herself.
"Enough!" she groaned from under her newly ventilated blanket. With curt, decisive movements she flung it off, dug through her pack for the med kit, and walked irritably over to the growing mess. She tried her best to shoo them away with a "Just... let me talk to him first, please."
If not she'd still ignore them and start treating the man anyway, but she liked to be polite and reasonable first.

I fear however she does not realise what we will now do to you with your new lease on life..." Kagae had not moved from where he was but said this while wiping his hammer on the man's clothes.

"Get... get away from me..." the man would mutter as Masuyo attempted to treat him. Mind you, with a +40 wound penalty, he can't really do much to prevent his treatment.

The little Dragon was undeterred by his protests. She knew he wanted to die just as much as her "allies" wanted to kill him. She did stop long enough to cast Kagae a 'You're making things worse' glare. "This man is now under my care. No harm will come to him while I am here."
Of course she tried to choose her wording wisely to hint to the others that she wasn't directly challenging them without making it obvious to the cultist.

Masuyo gains 3 points of honor for aiding a wounded enemy.
Kagae loses 6 points of honor for being an accomplice to a heinous crime (torture).
Kojiro loses 2 points of honor for being an accomplice to a heinous crime (torture). Masuyo's is still up in air, since her honor depends on his safety. "Get away, all of you. The only questions I will answer are those detailing your grisly demises," the pale cloaked man would say, shooting glares at the lot of you.

Kojiro strangles the man with his Kusarigama's chain. "I have seen the both of you try to deal with this criminal. All you've gotten for your troubles is more death threats from a tainted cur. Who knows what other threats lurk out there and we spend our time on this thing."
When the man stops thrashing Kojiro will let his body drop. "We are samurai. We should not be acting like eta! We did not come here to give away our status and lower ourselves below common cur! "

Kagae would say nothing but gathers his things and retrieve his map of traps from his scroll tube then with katana in one hand and map in the other he would begin to head out.
"Dead men don't talk Kojiro." Called out Kagae through the door way before leaving in a route set in his mind.

There was only time to act, and explaining her plan right in front of the target was just as pointless as the others' plans. With nothing else for it, she made good on her warning and struck out at the offending party, aiming to place a gentle touch upon him and disrupt his chi.
