Tam sees this and smiles. "There he goes, healing is back online.... thank heavens. He was emoting pain something terrible... I have such a headache because of it..."

Bez snorts softly and pushes him down onto the couch. "The two of ye are so damn close at times, I'm beginning to wonder iffin we're a triad... rather than a swedh pairing. But I know what ye mean. He really wasn't shielding very well was he."

"What's a triad?" asks Emnast out of curiosity.

"It's a psychic trilogy of sorts." says Tam thoughtfully. "Probably the strongest of psychic bonds. Triads are hard to break... and once they are truly locked into place, hard to unbalance. Think of a tripod... how the odd leg out always keeps it from tipping."

Tam laughingly waves Passura and the girls from the room. "Go on... go read a book or something... nothing to see here. Dang, it Kero... where's yer cocoon when ye need it...."

Emnast giggles. "This might get interesting... wonder how far he's going to go..."

Now Ai pushes himself up off the couch and dragging Bez with one hand and pushing the dragon with the other makes them leave the room. "No eavesdropping, ye hear." he says firmly, glaring into five pairs of eyes. "I'm sure we all have better things to do. I sure know I wouldn't want anyone witnessing some of my dreams..." He looks pointedly at Bez, then turns to Emnast. "And I doubt truly ye'd be wanting anyone looking at yers, Em. Listen, why no take the kids up fer a swim. Knowing Kero he'll be up in a few hours... the only time he ever slept for more than one or two at a time was when he was growing up."

"Mama... did you really raise Kero?" asks Mara in a small voice.

"It's just he seems so old..." echoes Ari.

"And so much like a kid..." adds her sister, finishing their thought.

Ai smiles. "He is OLD... but he has always been young at heart, trust me... and yes, I did raise him. Now go... get washed up... I think I see corn growing behind those ears."

Ai smiles. "Hasn't he told ye? He's rather proud of his age, ye know.... He's the XIIIth incarnation and well, each entity has live roughly a million years or so, give or take a few... This particular incarnation is not that far into his first millennium though. But he's got all the memories of all his other selves in an unbroken chain... so he's actually as old as he claims...."

Ai nods and shoos them all outside. "Go... take a swim... and girls... no skinny dipping... ye hear me... have Em conjure up something appropriate fer ye to wear." As they walk away, he calls to Passura. "Age doesn't always make the man... remember that, youngster.... and just in case ye haven't realized it yet... I'm older than he is." He turns to go back inside and catches Bez's amused expression.

"Well I am... I'm even older than you when it comes down to it... not that I'm counting here... so listen to yer elder, scamp, and help me get to bed... right now, I'm kind of feeling my age."

Ai leans on Bez as they walk back to the bedroom and slips an arm about his waist. "Ye know... it's been a while since we've been allowed a little peace and quiet."

Bez lifts a graceful brow. "Does that mean what I think I does?"

"Maybe.." murmurs Tam drawing out the word, sealing the entrance to the bedroom behind them.
