[Shiiiiiit guys! Sorry I've been so long!!!]
As the others in the group beg discussing further tactics, Mizuki remained in silence. Hell, over the course of their time together, he had noticed that he was always putting in his opinion. In fact, looking back, Mizuki reckoned there wasn't one suggestion put across that he didn't immediately overide with his own theories. Until now, that had been because he felt he had the right too. He had been apart of this Nightmare before the others had. He had been in the area the virus was first bred in and he had already spend roughly a month in the Hell that had consumed their happy lives only a few days previously. Because of this, he had been under the impression, that his opinion ranked highest down to experience. He had had no trouble quashing their ideas and putting across his own in their place. But looking at Alex now - how quickly he picked himself up from the looming knowledge that he might now be an orphan - damn. That had impressed Mizuki to the very core. It had showed him that perhaps these guys weren't as untainted and unprepared as he had thought them to be. They were survivors, and as such, they should be allowed to go with their own gut instincts rather than follow his like sheep all the time. Mizuki had expected keeping quiet to be difficult. After all, he was by now used to being the dominant leader of the group in some aspects. By giving others a chance he risked having his authority stripped of him. But somehow, Mizuki didn't think that would be the case. They lived and worked as a team, and, as the motivational saying went; 'There's no 'I' in 'Team.'
He had overcome his ill feeling now. Brought on by the self realisation of how the trauma of his parents death had left him in a warped state of self dellusion, he had successfully forced such thoughts to the back of his mind and locked them away. Now, more care free, the knot in his stomach came loose and a little colour returned to his face. However, the knot came back as Nikita's voice reached his ears. The colour brightened in his cheeks as he flushed angrily. He felt an anger, almost like acid, welling in his chest as he longed deeply to snap out at Nikita. He noticed Ada elbow him, and this irritated him further for some reason. Mizuki had no reason to disbelieve that Ada was doing this to shut Nikita up because she believed he was being harsh - and yet, he didn't think that to be the case somehow. There was something shifty about the two of them - and though Mizuki had been begining to warm up to the presence of Nikita - he was slowly pushing him away again. Besides, Ada had not displayed any indication of having liked him in any shape or form - so why would she be defending him now? His already paranoid nature was begining to rise up in the form of a chill on the back of his neck. He felt suddenly cornered and watched. He raised his head and stared at Nikita and Ada coldly in turn - but he didn't say anything. No sense in causing unnecessary agro in a time like this. Especially with Alex being so brave. Besides, if Mizuki was to protect the lie that he was not infected, then him getting so defensive off the bat would surely only increase suspicians. He ran a hand irritably through his hair and turned his gaze away to remove both Nikita and his urge to speak out. He didn't know what he had to worry about really. The very fact that he was stood here now, fully sane, should be enough to quell any doubts in him. After all, it was common belief that once a person turned into a Crazie there was no coming back. By being fine, by this rule, Mizuki was therefore not infected.
A shout from the distance, echoing loudly around the cavernous space of the mall made him flinch. He raised his head and snaked it on his neck, rising on his tip toes. He recognised the voice instantly as being David's. And though this did fill him with a sense of relief and joy - it wasn't that strong. This wasn't because he was dissappointed that David was alive - not at all. He was very pleased, he was starting to like the guy. The reason it didn't hit home hard, was because on many levels Mizuki hadn't allowed himself to believe that David had been in any real danger. And whilst the others had their heads turned in the direction of the shout, Mizuki was facing in the opposite direction. As glad as he was for David's safe return, the shout had been painfully loud. Mizuki's hackles raised slightly as he scouted the area around them for any signs of approaching infected. Mizuki could only hope that they were all currently too occupied with feeding their faces in the food area. As Mizuki started to worry too deeply he forced himself to remember the basics he had covered when he was back at the begining. He had studied Crazie's in his first few weeks of being alone from his bedroom window. Back when it had been concentrated to one area and the Crazie's were crowded in the small spaces. He found that whilst you got the od exception to the rule, Crazie's would rather food that came easier to them rather than actively hunt for it. Just like any hunter in the natural world. For the first time, and for only a fleeting moment, Mizuki allowed himself to ponder if the Virus had spread across the oceans. What was with the rest of the world? Were their Crazies in competition with Lions out in Africa? Were there Crazies stalking the concrete metropolisis' of his home land - wandering the mountain villages? Were their Crazies in Spain? Italy? Russia. . . ? And that was where his brain automatically shut the thought process off, knowing that Mizuki was liable to go into full mental break down when confronted with the question of whether or not that there was anyone in the world anywhere left to help them.
He became so involved with his own doomed thought processes that by the time he zoned back into reality there was a woman he had never seen before striding confidently towards him. Mizuki stood there in shocked and stunned silence as she reached up and brushed a cool hand against his forehead. Blinking in suprise he watched, wide eyed, as she breezed past him. Only then did he take into account the bright faces, including Davids, and come to the conclusion that this must be his wife, Sarah. He grinned brightly, pleased for Alex. And yet, on some levels, he found himself bitter. Where was the justice in Alex having his whole family with him now when others such as himself were left with no one. He frowned slightly and mentally scolded himself for this train of thought. However, as it was once more brought up that he was infected, Mizuki snapped slightly. Fuelled on by his own secret jealousy and his irritation at Nikita's earlier comment he rolled his eyes in exasperation. "Not to worry." He said coolly, "I'm not infected." Then, slightly concerned with the grave seriousness in his own voice, he cracked a cheesy grin and rubbed the back of his head in his own awkwardness. Fine way to greet to woman, 'zuki, well done! "That doesn't mean I'm not a little off the rails though." He offered in way of a joke. Then, nodding his head to Sarah politely, he smiled gently. "Pleasure to meet you."

((Good to see you posting again, Metzli ^_^. Also...I'm posting for Nina and I really need a post from Gothic_Kyo... Or else... That group can't move.))
"Daaammiiit!" Nina said rather loudly as she put the palm of her hands into the concave where her eyes were on her face. The bag of small blades hung heavily from her shoulders. "How the heck are we gonna do that...?" Nina asked with a look of desperation on her face. She pulled her ponytail out from under the bag strap on her shoulder and turned to look at Jain for any ideas. The red head stared back with wide eyes and shrugged her shoulders with her palms towards the sealing. The universal sigh for "I have no idea" and she even made the vocal up-down of "I don't know" without using the worlds. She looked out the window and bit her lip. She complained about it being dangerous. "I know, I know..." Nina said in a stressed manner. She and Jain at the same time poked there heads out the window, leaning out as far as they could to the jeep and Terry's truck. The looked at each other and then pulled themselves back in. "We need a couple of people to shoot and keep the zombies away, while another couple people work to get the tires off and on." Nina said unconfidently. "Do we have any volunteers?" She asked with a nervous laugh. Jain began to, whistle innocently in a comical manner. It was weird to see Jain being her weird self after being shaken up so badly just a few moments prior. Nina looked at everyone to see there reaction. If no one wanted to do it... She would do it, but she much rather not.
Ada watched Mizuki's reaction with contempt. She mentally sighed as she thought how hard it was going to be to keep the peace with someone so easily agitated. Sure, it was tough being accused of being infected. However, Ada wasn’t able to feel for Mizuki’s position. She couldn't really feel any sympathy at the moment. Her position was to keep the peace as long as possible to save the anger and need to hurt out on the infected. Nikita, on the other hand, didn't really care to see Mizuki's reaction at all; he kept his mind on the conversation. His outlook was an infected accused him of being infected, enough said. Sure, he supposedly came back from being infected, but maybe he just never fully transformed. Maybe he was near full transformation and he somehow fought it off with force of will. Maybe something absolutely insane was going on, who was he to say anything? He just had a gut feeling and he rather stick with it.
Kalila stopped her pacing and immediately brought her katana to a defensive position as she heard David’s voice echo through the discount department store. As if to directly respond to the human yell, there were many Infected growls, roars, and screeches as answers. That's kind of the wrong answer isn't it? Kalila thought with a mental nervous laugh. Ha... I knew he was alive... "What the f*ck did I just say?!" Nicholas whisper/yelled at Alex. Only a millisecond before him Alex had yell in response to his father. The multiple yelling got everyone into an alert stage. Nicholas face was set in agitation and his eyes kept shifting to different directions. Kalila kept her back tot he group and silently declared herself guard of their flank. Ada and Nikita kept back to back to be on the offense, yet guard one another. Dude... He's back so quickly! I guess the NYC is tiny when there's no traffic... the younger sibling thought as the echo finally died down. The siblings and the cousins all turned to the direction they heard footsteps coming from. It sounded like a pair. Worse case scenario: It's a pair of infected. Best case scenario: David has Sarah... Otherwise... It's up in the air... Kalila thought as she looked towards the flank every now and then since no one was paying attention. A few moments later David popped into view looking very sad. Both Nikita and Nicholas had a hard time stopping their fingers from instinctively pulling the trigger as an impulsive reaction. Ada had immediately crossed her wrists and held them in front of her vertically to stop herself from shooting. She was rather glad to see the big ol' oaf was still alive. She still didn't trust him, but it was good to know one could survive on your own. Kalila gasped, bringing one of her hands from her hilt to cover her mouth, as she saw Sarah Marshall being pulled in front by her husband. "Sarah..." Kalila cooed with a smile on her face as she watched her and her son reunite in loving river of loving love. Nicholas was surprised at how tall the woman was. Holy sh*t! She could be a freakin' model! he thought as he compared her height to David's massive height. She came to about his chin. Finally, Sarah made her way to the siblings, Alex still holding on to her, and spoke to Kalila as she shook her hand. "Good to see you too ma'am! I'm so glad to see you're all right! I knew you would be!" She said very enthusiastically. It sounded kind of kiss @$$ if one did not know Kalila well enough, but the truth was she just idolized Sarah a lot. The siblings peacefully watched as Sarah greeted everyone in her normal blunt manner. As she accused Mizuki of being infected, Kalila fused a pout and a frown. Her bluntness towards that subject was not appreciated. Two scientists and an infected say he's infected... she thought, upset. I still don't understand how that's possible if he's fine right now! she mentally screamed. Nicholas's thoughts were along the same lines. He was glad to see Mizuki's reaction, but it did seem a bit fake to him though. Ada agreed with the older woman as she asked if they were who they are. Ada got a good vibe from Sarah, she seemed to be the even greater woman that was behind the great man that was David. But, she still had the untrusting feeling because of her occupation. Nikita thought she seemed nice enough and that she was quite sexy for her age. He mentally congratulated David on having such a pretty wife. He also mentally gave himself a point for having another person agree with the fact Mizuki was infected, as he was sure of it. Unlike everyone else who seemed to let down his or her guard now that David was back, Nikita kept scanning the area as Nicholas was before.
Kalila was caught off guard as David walked up to her. She quickly looked over her shoulder to see if anyone else was near. However, that was not the case; he had truly come to talk directly to her. She blinked in confusion. She also made a mental note to keep a little more alert. The question just confused her more as she took a good look at the test tube-like container. "Um... blood?" Kalila answered awkwardly. "Radioactive blood!" Nicholas said jokingly as he saw the fluorescent color. However, the siblings gaped at David's response. "Dude! Are you kidding me!?" He asked as he looked on at the back of David, for he was facing his sister. He quickly looked to Sarah to see her reaction. Ada and Nikita snapped there attention to David and then Nikita changed his view to Eri. He wondered how it could even be possible. This time it was Ada who recovered quick enough to keep guard while Nikita was drawn into what was being said. "Nu-uh!" Kalila whispered incredulously. Her face started to burn with a mixture of emotions and she looked deeply into David's eyes to see if he was lying. There was something hidden in his eyes, but she could tell he was not lying. There's a catch... There's always a catch... Kalila realized. As if to confirm her belief, Sarah spoke up. Kalila's hands loosened their grip on the hilt of her katana as she looked in Mizuki's direction. She desperately wanted to believe he wasn't infected, but she was so uncertain. She wanted to see his reaction to what was just said. She didn't turn back to David or Sarah, but listened intently to learn more about the "vaccine."

[[sorry about the sucky post... right now I'm too interested in this story I'm writing and can't get into character... crying ]] Sarah stuck her hands in her pockets, and kind of danced around the subject at first. "Well, first off we need to get a blood sample to see whether or not Mizuki and Eri are truly infected..." Sarah said, opening her metal suitcase and pulling out two syringes. She was looking down avoiding the eyes of the group. Alex looked up at his mom, letting go of her. He knew that tone of voice, something was bad. David held the container of liquid. Looking at it, he waited for his wife to deliver the news. "After we determine whether or not they are infected then we need to administer the vaccine." She looked up at the group. Alex wasn't liking where this was going. She was avoiding whatever it was. Alex was looking up at his mother. David sighed, here it comes... He thought. Then Sarah sighed. "After we administer the vaccine there are three possible side effects. The first, and most likely side effect is it works. If it works they will expeirience some pain as the vaccine makes its way through their body." She said some in a way that told the group it was bad. "As the vaccine jump starts their immune system they will get a mild fever and color will return to their skin..." Then she looks at eri. "However I don't think her discoloration is from infection, I think she just really needs a tan..." David laughed at this joke. Alex chuckled slightly too. Sarah continued, "The second side effect is that it doesn't work. If that happens they will feel a slight pain as the vaccine fails to make it through their system... The final effect is by far the least likely..." Sarah pauses. David waits for her to continue. Alex is looking in suspence at his mom. She looks up and laughed, "Why am I getting everyone all depressed. First we need to make sure they are infected before we go through any of this stuff..." She walks up to mizuki and grabs his arm. She stops half way from sticking the syringe in his arm, then stops. Rubbing the back of her head, she says, "Where are my manners... do you mind if I take your blood sample?"

Mizuki listened through the tutorial that Sarah gave about the nature of the Vaccine. At first he was excited by the thought of a vaccine. Maybe he was being wrong to hide what he was. If he came out now and told them all that yes - he was technically infected - he could have the vaccine. All would be forgiven. And best of all, he wouldn't have to live in this constant nightmare that at any moment he might turn. But something at the back of his mind remained thoroughly unconvinced.
One reason Mizuki had been avoiding telling the truth, besides the obvious point that they would more than likely kill him where he stood, was out of fear of becoming a test subject. His over-active imagination, fuelled by many an hour watching horror movies, told him that if they found out what he was - they would cart him off to some god-awful primitive laboratory and run test after excruciating test on him in hopes of finding a cure. That done, they would kill him. But judging from what Sarah had said, there was already a cure. So they wouldn't need to do that anymore. Surely only good could come out of this? But still, something lurking in his mind was wary and reluctant. And that was when Sarah decided to reel off the side effects. Mizuki's chest turned to ice and his insides squirmed, as if in a desperate bid to escape him. The vaccine was obviously designed to attack the virus. But by now Mizuki had come to understand that the virus was no longer a foreign agent working inside his body. It wasn't some seperate malignant force that could be hunted down in his systems and erradicated from his body without dealing any harm. The virus was part of his body. Though Mizuki didn't understand the exact science of it. He understood enough in himself to know that the virus was part of him, rather than just taking up residence inside. That explained why he suffered the ill effects of the virus itself - his changes - but was for the most part fine, if not benefitting from it. Asides from the looming threat of reverting if he didn't get enough food, Mizuki was a lot stronger and faster than he had been before. The virus hadn't exactly strengthened his immune system - as it's soul purpose as an organism was to attack the immune system. Instead, in Mizuki atleast, the Virus had replaced his immune system. Though illness and infection were easily able to access his body - the virus would act as an antibody in itself, destroying any foreign infection that threatened it's control. So. . .if this vaccine was designed to attack the Virus - it would kill off the only thing that Mizuki had to protect his body from infection. Even if the vaccine did work, he would only die seconds later from the germs in the atmosphere. A cold shiver ran through him at this thought. Though Mizuki was not 100% sure that this is what would happen - something in his gut told him it would be something along those lines.
And thus began Mizuki's inner conflict. Did he come forewards and admit to the others than he was infected. And if he did, did he attempt to tell them exactly what he theorised was wrong with him? No! Even if they did believe him, his placed as authority figure would be completely obliterated. He would most likely be cast out. After all, if you were trying to keep yourselves alive, you would not keep a biological time bomb close to you. Especially if you knew that at any moment he could turn on you. . . Did he try the vaccine and hope? Still, the very thought of the vaccine made him squirm on the inside. As if the virus in him. The virus that was him was trying to conserve itself. Sarah had trailed off. . .but even though she had, Mizuki could guess (and so could everyone else more then likely) what she would have said. There was a chance he could die. Since becoming 'intertwined' with the virus, Mizuki's lust for survival had increased ten fold. The very idea of taking a risk to his life was unthinkable. But how did he get out of this? Though he had acting fine, he knew the odds were against him. Looking around he noticed doubt even in Kalila's eyes as she regarded him. This hurt. Mizuki blinked in suprise as he realised just how much the idea that Kalila had lost faith in him hurt his feelings. He couldn't simply refuse the bloodtest, that would be far too convicting. So did he accept it and hope that the test came back too inconclusive. After all, they would be looking for signs of the Virus in his blood, whereas in Mizuki's case the virus would be his blood. It would be encoded into the cells, rather than just being latched on. Could they pick that up on the limited equipment that they had available since the world went to s**t? Could he even risk that?
A moan of misery and helplessness was clawing at his vocal chords, but he kept it down. His head span and all he wanted to do was to curl into a ball and refuse anything. But that wouldn't be at all practical in this situation. Mizuki was, however, snapped out of his thought processes by a hand grabbing his arm. His initial reaction was to recoil away from her touch, but he supressed that urge. His mind was screaming at him to attack her. Fend off the threat to his survival. She couldn't expose him if she was dead! Mizuki was lucky enough to have he pull away from him of her own accord, and though he mouth moved, Mizuki didn't hear her words. His mind was buzzing and his heart was hammering in his chest. Once again, he was terrified of himself. Had he really wanted to kill this woman? This woman that was only trying to help others above herself. She had been nothing but friendly and yet - Mizuki felt he would have been quite happy to kill her with his bare hands just to avoid getting a blood test. Had the virus corrupted him so deeply that he was loosing all humanity? No. . . he reassured himself. No, if that was the case - if it really was in control - I would have killed her. But I didn't. Though that thought in itself was comforting, it did nothing to solve the current predicament. He looked at her and smiled slightly. "That's alright." He said, as way of accepting her apology. Though his voice was steady, his eyes seemed distracted.
It was silent for a moment as Mizuki fought to come up with an excuse, any excuse. And, as luck would have it, he was saved from making that decision. A harsh, blood curdling shriek shattered the silence around them. It was swiftly followed by numerous others in a ghastly chorus. And though the mass of oncoming infected would likely bring with them a very real threat of death - Mizuki silently praised their arrival. He cursed loudly, genuine fear in his voice. Though the fear wasn't for the threat in itself. It was for himself. Mizuki grabbed his shot gun and swiftly checked the barrell. Three bullets left. This time fear for the oncoming infected really did ebb its way into his mind. And his ******** backpack with all his ammo was god knows where! When he'd woken up in the stock room - he hadn't had it. "Anyone got any bullets? Any weapons?" He asked the group. He was fighting to keep his voice casual, but it shook ever so slightly.

"s**t!" She said to herself, turning her head. She was still holding his arm, the needle just above it. Sarah had jumped slightly, causing the needle to actually enter his arm. Looking at it quickly, she pulled it out. She had gotten a small blood sample, even if it was on accident. Sticking the needle in her metal suitcase, she continued carrying the metal suitcase in her left hand. She would need to examine that later. "I have guns. But very few." David said, holding both of his uzies towards the far end of the aisle, his wife standing behind him, facing the other end of the aisle. They had subconciously put Alex between them. Alex sat there, holding his smith & wesson. He turned from one end of the aisle to the other, ready for anything. "Who needs guns?" Sarah said, seeing one lone infected. She was the closest person to that end of the aisle and the infected wasn't that far from her, so she decided to show off her fighting talents. She had studied the infected's movement and logic, so she knew how easy it was to take one down. She ran towards it, it was maybe 6 feet away from her. Getting up close to it, she ducked under one of its claws, and kicked upward. This caused it to go into the air about a foot and a half. Then reaching up, she grabbed it's lower jaw, making sure not to get any of it's blood or spit on her hand. She grabbed to spots on its jaw and pulled downward. There was a hellish snap, crack, and ripping sound, as she pulled off his lower jaw. It roared, the roar was gurgled and clearly hard to get out, as blood from its lower jaw flooded down its windpipe. Then, without any mercy, Sarah took its lower jaw and smashed it into its face, crushing it's skull and piercing its brain. Alex watched in awe as his mom became a killing machine. He had his gun pointed at the end of the aisle where his mom was. David wasn't watching, he was sure Sarah could take care of herself. Sarah started walking backwards towards the group, as another infected jumped from behind the aisle in front of her. She didn't have any time to react as the infected slashed her. Its claw hit her face full force, knocking her sideways into the wall of the aisle, nearly toppling it. Sarah regained her balance and managed to make it back to the group. "That thing came out of nowhere!" She said, pain in her voice. It made her look weak, and she knew it. She hated feeling weak, and now the people in the group probably wouldn't trust her fighting ability, but she had had no time to respond to the infected. She couldn't have dodged, she couldn't have countered, nothing. Pulling her hand away from her cheek, there was a missing chunk of skin where the lower part of her cheek had been. Alex looked in horror as his mom exposed her missing cheek. He looked at the infected angrilly, he pulled the triggar to his gun, shooting it twice in the skull and once in the upper chest. David was worried about Sarah, not as much as his son because that wasn't possible, but he was worried. If he didn't know how many infected were coming he would have been over to her comforting her. Sarah pulled the pistol out of her pocket that David had given her. She hated feeling weak or useless, and she would prove to the group that she wasn't going to get hurt anymore. Unlike the rest of the group, who were extremely lucky for making it this far with maybe a scratch or two, Sarah's luck had ran out. Now she was paying for pushing her luck by bleeding all over her shirt... She had taken off her white lab coat and put it into the metal suitcase when she heard the infected coming. She never let that get dirty.

[[yeah.. this will suck, but if I don't post I doubt I will be allowed to stay in this rp any longer.... cuz I'll get left behind... ya know?]]
Eri blinked as all of the events occurred right in front of her, and looked at Mizuki. Was he an infected? Was he human? Was he anything?? She sighed and soon heard the hit. She looked over and saw Sarah as the sweet sent of fresh blood drifted to her nose. She almost stepped forward, but made herself pull back in a desperate attempt to control herself. 'This isn't the time for me to be freaking out about this!' She tried to convince herself. Although the tan joke wasn't funny, she still cared about Miss Sarah, and hoped she'd be alright. She looked to Alex in worry, and soon found herself wanting to die. She was hungry, and looking at Alex made it worse. She looked away and held her stomach as if she wanted to throw up. She thought that this feeling was disgusting. She felt her legs trying to contradict her brain as she quietly stood there. "....." She sighed and looked up, her eyes blood-shot from the strain of the very virus that threatened to drive her insane. "A..Are you...um.. alright....miss Sarah...?" She managed to weakly stutter out. She looked like a sad puppy, and she hated it. Always needing help, being the baby, having everyone worry about her. It was tough to handle, and she didn't like it. She wanted to feel strong, be able to hold back her virus like Mizuki, but she couldn't. She coughed and wheezed when she felt the urge to throw up. She couldn't. She sighed and calmed herself. 'This is the time to stand up and have courage Erisa!' She thought to herself, standing straight and calming herself. She had to help somehow. She looked at David, then to Alex and Nicholas, then to everyone else. These people were like a family. You have to take care of them.... keep them safe, at the risk of yourself... like they'd done for you..... She smiled slightly. 'I can handle this.... I can....' She looked at David. "Um.." She looked at him kind of nervously. "David.... This cure.... How big is the chance of dying from it...?" She knew it was possible. All drugs had a chance of death. [[except for tums ^^]] She looked at him seriously. "Is it 50/50....? Because if so..." She sighed. "I'll take it...." She hated needles. The thought of them piercing her skin disgusted her, but she had to do it. For this make-shift family of hers... she would have to make sacrifices, even death.....r...right?

David looked at Eri, she looked sad. "Actually the chances aren't even that high... the chances are like 16/84... 16% chance of death." He said, the word leaving a bad taste in his mouth. He reaches into his pack, pulling out the pistol he had stored away. "Make yourself useful." He said, holding the gun out towards her. It was a simple pistol, point and shoot interface. Sarah was holding the top of her shirt against her cheek to keep from bleeding out. It was working well, for the moment, however she didn't particularly care for the taste of blood on her tongue. Alex was standing close to his mom, if not only to make sure she was safe then to also help keep her safe. He looked over at Eri, she seemed sick. Alex could tell people's moods very well, even when they tried to hide how they really felt. Sarah stood up shakily, the loss of blood made it hard for her to move very well. She pushed herself over to Eri and David. "We'll have to wait. Now isn't exactly the most oppertune time to be giving any kind of vaccine." Sarah said. Her words sounded slightly gargly as the blood from her cheek rushed into her mouth. Alex walked with his mom. He hated seeing her hurt. The fact that she didn't get hurt very much made it even worse. He kept his gun ready in case anymore infected showed up.

Mizuki watched as Sarah moved. His eyes widened slightly in what could have at first been percieved as awe. But it wasn't - not exactly. Just watching the way she expertly executed her moves, the way her limbs cleaved so neatly through the air to hit their target with pin point percision. His muscles tightened as he became like a coiled spring, ready to leap forwards into action. Mizuki had inherited his fathers love of hand to hand combat through vigourous martial arts training as a child. Seeing Sarah excited him, not sexually, so much as on a more aggressive sense. Seeing her carry out actions and manouveres he himself had so many times performed to a degree under the watchful and scrutinising gaze of his father made him, more than ever, want to charge forwards and join her. Seeing her use these skills against the Infected brought out in him a sense of admiration. Though he knew he was capable of the same thing, he had never before been brave enough to actually get that close to one of the Crazies - preferring to have a weapon between him and them. But as much as he loved the display simply for his boyish love of life long passion - the other side of him, the new Viral side of him in his mind, was excited for much darker reasons. Sarah presented strong power, and that presented a threat to his dominance. Part of him lusted after a fight to the death with her. But this part of him was small and weaked by his human passions, and easily ignored.
And then it happened. Mizuki spotted the attack coming a few seconds before it actually happened. His eyes widened and a shout formed at the base of his throat - but it didn't make it out in time. As she was knocked aside, Mizuki made a few steps forwards - on auto pilot - as if to go to her head. But within a few seconds she had picked herself up and returned to the group. He looked over to her with horror as she exposed the missing part of her cheek. And then came a strange torrent of mingled emotions. Horror, purely on face value that someone he knew had been so gruesomely injured. Then a deeper, emotional horror upon realising that Sarah now had a real risk of being infected. But, perhaps even more worrying, were the feelings of pleasure he felt upon seeing the wound. The enemy had been weakened. She would not be such a threat. Now she was infected she wouldn't have to take a sample from him. And, the most prominant and frightening of all, the sudden hunger that struck chords deep within him. Gritting his teeth, Mizuki hurried a short distance from the group to the place that Alex had patched up Eri's foot and picked up the plaster bandaging and cream. As he bent down there was a terrifying squeal from behind the display on the left. Pocketing them, Mizuki straightened, and was confronted with a terrifying face. It's entire lower lip ripped from it's face, exposing pale gums and yellowed teeth, spittle running down it's chin. It's cheeks were sallow and gaunt, a large gash travelling the entirity of the left side of it's skull, including the eye - which still in its socket - was rusty yellow with a deep, moist looking crevice down the middle. It opened it's mouth and roared again, swiping from Mizuki over the top of the display. Mizuki leapt back instinctively and raised the gun to its head level - then hesitating, remembering his current lack of bullets, he spun the gun round in his hands - and turning his face to the side, slammed the but of it directly into the center of its forehead. It grunted and fell backwards as it's knees suddenly gave way. Thinking back to Sarah, a small wistful smile crossed Mizuki's face as he spun on his back foot, bringing up his left and delivering a powerful spinning kick to the display. The percision of the kick, coupled with his admittedly abnormal strength, caused the display to topple backwards onto the Crazie on the other side- sending ladies razor blades and toothpaste everywhere. Mizuki walked up onto the display, packets crunching under foot, feeling with some satisfaction the body of the Crazie beneath also being put under pressure by his sudden weight addition. The Crazie hissed and spat, clawing at him with it's one free arm, banging its head against the floor in frustration. Once more turning his face to the side, Mizuki delivered a series of crushing blows with the butt of his gun to the thing's forehead until he heard the crunch, and the splatter of thick liquid landing on the tiles. Nodding his head slightly, Mizuki jumped off, not bothering to look back at his kill - instead wiping off the butt of his gun off on the nearest intact shelf. "God, I miss my plank of wood!" He mused, more to himself than anyone else.
Turning back, Mizuki hurried over to Sarah. He tapped her on the shoulder, to warn her of his presence - wary of the gun in her hands. As she turned to face him, Mizuki held up the bandage plaster and peeled the backing from it. He offered Sarah no chance to complain, nor to refuse. He squeezed out a small amount of the cream onto two finger tips and rubbed it into the inside of the plaster. Somehow, he thought she'd appose of him touching her open wound with his fingers - probably more paranoid than ever now she had been wounded by a Crazie. Mizuki looked up, the woman much taller than him, and tried to avoid glacing at the wound. He failed. A single droplet of blood ran down to her chin from the open patch of glistening flesh. He could feel saliva begining to well in the corners of his jaws as his stomach twisted with hunger. Blinking to force back his sudden urges, he reached up and planted the plaster down over the wound - the thing itself barely covering the afflicted area. He then flattened it to the wound with his fingertips. "Good as new, Doc." He offered, with a small reassuring smile. His reasons for helping her, he liked to think, were entirely because he wanted to help her. But he couldn't help but wonder if part of the reason was because having a fresh wound infront of him was far too tempting. . .

[[Eh... I'll go along with it...]] Sarah blinked, Mizuki was fixing her wound. This annoyed her to no end, however she didn't show it. Under best circumstances she would let David fix her wounds. She never liked other people touching her very much, and the fact that this boy might have been infected made if worse. She still didn't show her feelings though. David looked at Mizuki with the same suprise. However suprise quickly turned to anger. He didn't like other men touching his wife, even if Mizuki was only 19, he was still a guy. David's lip twitched as the feeling of wanting to tackle Mizuki was coming on. He did his best to ignore Mizuki, figuring that he deserved at least that much. Alex was also suprised, not only because Mizuki was helping his mom, but because his mom was LETTING him help her. It wasn't very often that would happen. In fact, Alex could only remember one or two instances of it happening, and each time she would throw a fit. Alex reloaded his smith & wesson, he had fired three bullets.

((All right guys... I know you must be so frustrated with me for not posting... But, cut me some slack please. I really do apologize. However, this weekend I'm moving from a town home to a house... So... Um... I'll be busy. If you guys could be sweethearts for me (not that you guys already aren't), and pull back on the posting until I can get on and what not... ^_^’... -_-’… I'M SORRY :_:!!! I'll bring you up to date Crimson... I already sent you a PM. You can post... Just don't do the multiple back and forth posting that leaves me behind...))
Kalila listened to Sarah with a bit of hope. Yes, she did start out completely avoiding the subject. However, she also wanted to test Mizuki to see if he was truly infected. In which case, that would mean she wasn't 100% positive on him being infected. Which meant, there was still hope for Kalila's little group of happiness. The siblings looked over to Alex, knowing he would indicate if something was up, just with his facial expression. They were given what they were looking for and David's sigh helped too. While Kalila liked to look at the positive side, she was still a pessimist by nature. Thus, getting these indicating signs perturbed her. Nicholas listened to what Mrs. Marshall had to say in the same manner a businessman would listen to the risks of investing into a specific type of stock. He held his hand in a fist under his chin, staring intently at a floor tile. As Sarah got to her joke, Nicholas smirked, and looked towards said girl. She was indeed pale... and her hair just brought it out more. "Ah... Why do I feel like I'm listening to a medicine advertisement on T.V.?" Nicholas asked crossing his arms as Sarah finished with the side effects. "Death... We got it.," he said bluntly. BUT... If Mizuki's not infected, we don't even have to deal with that now do we...? Eri on the other hand... Kalila thought as her brother spoke. "At least it's least likely." Nicholas said, messing with the grip on his rifle, changing his outlook on it. He looked from Mizuki to Eri to see what their opinion on the issue was. For some odd reason, his business-like mannerism continued. "I don't know... Personally." Nicholas mumbled. "You've tested this thing on people before, right?" Kalila asked, messing with the mask around her neck with one hand and still holding her katana with the other. "If so... How did they take it mentally? We got the physical reactions to it. What did they do or say as they under went reactions from this treatment? I don't want anyone scarred for life... Though... I guess we already are, in a way." She said with a nervous laugh. Ada's reaction to the list of side effects was on the calmer side. She was still, in general, up tight about the idea of handing Eri over to a bunch of scientists. Her father told her some stuff about the Soviet Union when she was younger, which always made her weary of "the man." Scientists were under the jurisdiction of the U.S.S.R. government, back in the day. For this same reason, Nikita kept distant as well.
Mizuki went on to speak and Kalila perked up, looking in his direction to see his reaction to all this. However, before anything could be done, there seemed to be a signal-off started amongst the infected. One infected apparently found their location, screamed the news, and other screamed back to prove they heard. Nikita was scanning the area and even caught the infected fellow who had found their location. He aimed, shot, and even hit. Unfortunately, at least in the eyes of everyone except for Mizuki, Nikita had fired too late; the infected had already released its bellow. He cursed loudly as he reloaded his weapon, preparing for the on coming assault. Ada held her pistols and ran towards Eri, deciding at the last moment David, Sarah, and Alex were too tight-knit of a group to think about Eri while they fought. She pulled Eri by her upper arm to stand behind her, again. Kalila made a bit of distance between herself and the group so she could swing freely without worrying about injuring "the good guys." All the while, she pulled down her goggles over her eyes and pulled up her mask over her mouth. Nicholas decided to take his stand near Nikita, since he was doing more distant shooting to make sure nothing could even get near their group from his direction. He found a good shelf to put his back to as he prepared to peek over, pulling his mask up. He decided to keep his goggles off since he was going to use the scope of his battle rifle. Kalila observed Sarah's glorious fighting. She could feel her Sarah-idolizing-self gush at her pure awesomeness. However, that side was put into check as soon as Sarah was injured. Kalila did not really have time to spazz out about the injury because she was grabbed from behind. An infected had grabbed the back of her skirt and her ponytail at the same time. She turned around so quickly, she felt the rotting creatures nails rip into her skirt. Its grip had fallen away from her skirt, but it still had her ponytail. It went forward to bite right into her face, only to make hard contact with the mask. Kalila silently thanked God as she swung her katana with a lot of force into a crescent shape up, into the torso. It backed off, grabbing its wounds. Kalila took this opportunity to stab it through the head. She made a mental note to change into the clothes Mizuki had gotten whenever she had the option. Kalila was up on it. If any creature got within a 20-foot radius of them, she would slice and dice it to oblivion. Her legs had been terribly bruised, however, when she had to kick and ended up hitting infecteds' hard, bony parts. She thanked her jewelry as well, they protected her arms from receiving any type of scratch. The leather wristbands with spiked studs even manage to cause some injury to the enemy. One of the times, a bracelet ripped, causing a bunch of beads to hit the ground and cascade in many directions. Nicholas and Nikita were working as a pair. They used the shelves as cover as they took down a couple from far distances. The cover wasn't because they were being fired back at, of course, but it was more to hide the exact location that the nearly silent bullets were coming from. As one infected was shot by Nicholas, another became confused and was shot by Nikita. Sh*t... We really need to shut those front doors. Nicholas thought as he got a beautifully executed headshot on a female infected that was wearing a fast-food restaurant’s uniform.
Ada's aim was incredible. Each time she shot, with either hand of her dual pistols, It was the head, whether it was upper or lower. She was shooting long distant and short distance, in a circle. Her lucky streak was shut down when she stepped on one of the beads that broke from Kalila's bracelet. She and Eri, who she had crashed into, would have gone a mess on to the floor if at the last moment she didn't grabbed on to a shelf. She grabbed Eri with her other arm, causing a bullet to fire off into the tiles, leaving an engraving. Ada cursed in Russian, not paying any particular attention to Eri as she stood her up. Nikita fired one last shot and nodded to Nicholas. He told him that he didn't see anymore and he thought the general attack was over. Kalila gathered near the rest of the group as the wave seemed to calm down. She looked over at the Marshall family to see how they were holding up. She was surprised to see Sarah's wound had already been bandaged, for she had been much too busy to pay attention to what had been going on. Mizuki was near them and on the other side, just as near were Eri and Ada. A little bit away was her brother and Nikita who were walking quickly too the cluster. Nikita bluntly put out his opinion. He believed they should go on complete lockdown from the outside right now. He thought if the rest of the group wanted to wait for the other group, they could just suck it. Of course, a few seconds later he said he was joking about the suck it part and if they wanted to that badly they could put the intercom system outside like they wanted to earlier. He also thought they should go ahead and make up their minds about the vaccine business. He said the more they thought about it the more confused they were going to get. He didn't say it aloud, but he believed they should test it one Mizuki first and then use it on Eri. He didn't like trusting scientists either, but it was all they had at the moment.

[Alright, if I get anything wrong, please tell me.]
A thick hung over Crimson's head, and for the last hour or so had been in a daze, moving without thinking until Nina had asked for volunteers. She gasped, sucking in air and nodded her head.
"I will keep cover."
Looking at Nina, she grimaced, and grasped her forehead. Her head pulsed, an aching throb before it vanished. These sudden contractions of pain were starting to take a toll on Crimson. She straightened up, and saw everyone's eyes on her.
"Sorry, just a cramp."
