Tam nods grimly. "If ye know that much ye know it isn't something to be fooled around with, right? It's dangerous and should be avoided."

"Ok, now Kero didn't do anything stupid like go there or anything, but he did jump someplace he had absolutely no knowledge of.... looking to exact vengeance on people he had no idea were there or not... and didn't care a hoot if he broke any laws or damaged any minds with his probing... well, I can't say for certain that is the truth, but according to my mother, he was digging through people's memories with the abandon most kids do with their mid-winter gifts, ripping them open to see what's inside. In other words, he went into a place he did not know looking for trouble... " Tam sighs. "Had he made contact with the wrong kind of mind..." he shudders and shakes his head. "That area has several cells of blood drinkers... he's fortunate he called my mother to help him."

"Because Kero did something very bad... something I couldn't erase with a single spanking, even if I wanted to, Salunia. He was given a month grounding to think about what he did and why it was wrong. It's not something that can just be done and forgotten about. If he's unhappy about it, it might be because he knows how serious of a thing he did and he cannot believe we have forgiven him. Because yes, we have forgiven him... we've not forgotten the act but we have forgiven the act... now it is up to him to forgive himself."

Tam sighs. "Sometimes forgetting just doesn't happen, little one... ye might want to, but it just won't go away... that is when ye need to forgive and accept the fact it happened and try yer best to understand why it did. Mom and I understand what happened, we're not happy with it, but we both know Kero quite well and know why he did it. It still doesn't make it right, though... and that is part of what being a parent is... teaching yer kids when things aren't right..."

Tam smiles sadly. "I know... but it will be over soon, trust me. Now... find me that book we were reading the other day. I seem to believe it's yer turn to read to me."

Tam snorts through his nose and tries not to laugh, wondering just how badly Kero has been feeling. He hasn't seemed to be all that upset to him and he had a rather strong touch of empathy. But if the lion had been trying to hide the fact from him, it was entirely possible he was upset.

Tam pushes himself out of his chair and goes to the kitchen. Reaching out with his thoughts he asks Fortuny and Hopian to take Salunia for a walk so he can have a heart to heart with Kerobian.

Tam tells him to sit down and begins brewing them both a pot of tea. "So, I know ye heard Salunia's lecture.... how on spot was she?" he asks pulling down a couple of mugs. Beating around the bush would not work here. Kero wasn't deaf, he had very good hearing and anyone in the cottage had to have heard the little cub's complaints. But he wanted to see how Kero was going to react to it first before he breached the matter openly. He sits down across from him, waiting for his response... half listening to the teapot on the stove but focusing his attention on the lion first and foremost.
