It's pretty easy, since it's Japanese and... my ancestors were from what would now be Japan, roughly. From what I can guess... he may have been kidnapped by pirates, though I can't say from where, Mairi's tone was embarrassed. Mairi said, startled by that revelation. "Watashi wa shiranai dokodesu ka," he said shyly as he ate before swallowing. Kairi blinked in confusion. He doesn't know where that is, Mairi translated, her tone wry. "Anata wa kawaīdesuga, sukoshi bakageta," he commented to Mairi, a small smirk on his face. Kairi blinked as Mairi blushed deeply before swatting him in the back of the head hard, making him yelp. Baka janai anata o konomu watashi o bujoku shinaide kudasai, she said with mild annoyance. Huh, sealskin vests aren't easy to get. You have to be either very rich or royalty to get them, Kairi commented thoughtfully; it wasn't a very well kept secret, though.
