"Mona has a point. And you back on the side of Ganondorf would harm us more than help us." Zelda didn't know if Michael cared about that or not, but she felt the statement might do some help to get him to stay.

Link stood by with his hand twitching at his side. He itched to draw his sword, but he remained silent by Zelda's side.
Sarri, on the other hand was fuming. "Listen, bigshot. If you go back to Ganondork, then all of this was for naught. Someone could have died for nothing. In vain." However, she sheathed her sword with a huff. "Keep that in mind. People are not expendable."

Michael turned to Sarri, hearing something he had never before.
"...not expendable? I have never heard of such a thing. Any one person's life is worth nothing compared to the salvation of hundreds to come."

"Then Hyrule would've been lost if I had beat Link in our duel in Lakebed Temple." Dark said while holding onto the hilt of the sword, leaving it sheathed. "My sword can cut through darkness just as good as the Master Sword can so, if I were you I'd go through that portal of yours."

Sunoka turned toward Michael. "We're not expendable!" she exclaimed, hurt by the fact that she helped save him, yet he was showing his gratitude by giving himself up to Ganondorf. "When I went to face that other man, I didn't go in believing you were expendable!" The girl nearly shouted, almost wanting to punch Michael for his stupidity.

Michael still seemed impassive, as if their words didn't mean anything.
"Even so, I am just a soldier. My duty is to make sure everyone is safe, even at the cost of my own life. I saw what happened here, and if leaving will distract the others for even a brief time, that may give you enough time to find a way to defeat him. I know how to deal with torture, and death is something I have been facing every day of my life because I was told the second I step out of line is the last second I have to live. It is nothing new to me."
He turned back to Duo and awaited for departure.

Midna looked at Sunoka. "Woah sweetie!" she smirked at her. "Don't kill him." She then looked at Michael. "But we really aren't. And you shouldn't believe we are." She stood up a little straighter. "And that might be what you think, but lives should be valued, not thought to be expendable."

Sarri sighed and backed off. "I know that doing our duty is one of the utmost importance for a soldier. I should know. My duty is to protect my princess." She looked at Michael and sighed again.

Dark was getting of the junk that was going on so he shoved Michael to the side and tackled Duo sending both of them into the portal. If wants to give himself up then let's see him do it without a portal to go through. Dark thought to himself.

Duo stood by listening. What is up with these people? People get killed all the time. Micheal is making a smart choice? Jeez.. these emotions are making me sick... However his thoughts were cut short when the Dark version of a guy in the room tackled him through a portal. Duo cursed as he rolled onto the ground. He quickly stood shoving Dark back. "What the hell is your problem? I didn't come for you! Step aside! I don't want to waste my energy on you." Duo glared at Dark not even flinchig at his eyes. Duo was a master of shadows and a natural killer. His emotions were long ago torn from him.

Mona was furious at Michael's cold opinion towards an individual human life, yet as she was about to open her mouth to speak, Dark and Duo were already gone. "What do we do now?"
"Good question..." Zelda's thoughts conflicted with each other. Do they go after him, or leave him? He was their enemy at one point; He'd made an attempt at Link's life at one point.
But he was helping them now, and that's what mattered. She felt the need to get him back. She didn't know what the others thought, though, and so she stayed silent for the moment.

Michael slowly turned to the others. He was always told his life was inferior to everyone else's, and than one human life is not worth risking another on. But these people were starting to make him think different. Was a life truly precious?
"Think logically, not out of compassion. The only reason right now they have to harm you is me. Once I am gone, there is no reason. So, to keep you out of danger, I must go. No exceptions."

Mona shook her head, biting back anger. "When it comes to a human being's life, numbers don't matter. We risk it all for our peers. The situation would be no different if Zelda, or Link, or Sunoka were in your position."
"And besides, Michael. Ganondorf and his allies are on a quest to dominate Hyrule, and destroy us. They've had a reason to harm us since the beginning of this whole mess." Zelda stated. "You leaving us for the greater good would hurt us more than help, for we'd have one less ally to fight with when the time comes to face Ganon."

Dark stood while he stared at Duo. "Either way you'll try to end up with both of us. So why not have one of us right now?" Dark pulled out his sword and grabbed the shield off of his back. He then met Duo's gaze. If he attacks I've got to be on edge, this is shadows vs a shadow. I'm the shadow, I'm not even human... So what life do I have?
