*Kero chuckles, selecting mint and vanilla for his flavors, and then moving towards the back of the cave and digging a short tunnel to a cavern he lines with freezing spells....he teleports all the ice-cream into there, and comes back out, sitting down with Passura*

Pasa holds up one of the gummy worms and dangles it before Kerobian. "This isn't a worm." he grumbles testily, dropping it back into his bowl.

"It's edible?" he exclaims... "I thought it was rubber." He picks up another one and nibbles on one end. His eyes widen and he digs in the bowl for more. The so-called dirt mixes with his ice cream and his face falls.

The dirt doesn't look att that appetizing, but he take a small spoonful of it and tries it, just to be on the safe side. As the cream melts on his tongue, he gets his first taste of chocolate and falls in love.

The boy giggles and comes over to give him a hug. "Mes'sirrah... why did the furred one send us all this?" he asks picking up a bowl to dry it.

She feels guilty for burning me like that, I'll bet...you have to remember, Pasa...Twilight burns me....it's not pretty....and she really hurt me when I walked into her barrier....though she's getting read the riot act by her parents, I'll bet...now....who wants to read a story?

The boy gives him a funny look, then asks for a story about magic. "How does it work, mes'sirrah?" he begs to know. "Who found it and how did they know what to do?"

Nobody knows....not even the annals of the Void mention it....you'd have to talk to the all-father himself....and don't even think about it....yer Grammarei got her tail paddled so hard for messing with the all-ruler....*Links Lyssan, Amaterasu, and Fujin into the conversation*....Yep...that's right...she pranked the all-ruler, Pasa....and she got herself paddled as a result....their ma tried to paddle my master, but failed miserably...hard to paddle a giant snake....Don't let yer Grammarei fool you, Pasa...she's had a colorful past....she once turned all the waters of the universe to vinegar...she was trying for wine....that is what my master and I call an epic fail.

There is a moment of universal silence... an event so rare Kerobian has only experienced it twice in his long life. The a voice booms out. "EPIC FAIL! So that's what they are calling it these days. Nice tag, Rasu... we need to remember that one."
"Don't remind me..." grumbles a feminine voice that practically glows with warmth. "Alysian... how does he know about all that?"
And a third, more familiar voice drifts their way, testy and tired. "It's what I've been trying to tell you, Mother... He is Jor's apprentice... and that twin of mine can't keep his mouth shut fer nuttin..."
Then the last voice speaks once more, so softly, Passura has to strain to hear it. "Kerobian... you and I are going to have a very very long talk..... and that's no threat by the way... it's the truth."
He looks up at his foster father and shakes his head. "You is in trubble."

Don't worry, Pasa...I'm immortal....and I've seen horrors none of these three have ever dealt with....there's nothing they can do to me...even if they go commando when they are presented to the all-ruler....

The boy is unimpressed. "One should never play with the gods, mes'sirrah... if angered, they have been known to mess with anyone, including each other. Our wiseman used to tell a tale of one man who had to spend his eternity rolling a huge boulder up a hill... he'd get to the top and it would roll down the other side.... only all the sides looked ythe same so he never really knew where he was... He was an immortal, too... I think."

Sisyphus? He was a mortal....a human king....thought he was greater than the gods....he was struck down by Lightning. Besides, Pasa....in a way, I'm the grandchild of these two...and the nephew of Lyssan....apprentice is much like child, especially when you consider that my master raised me.
