Eri was worried about him, then she suddenly froze when she felt him touch her head. She blinked and went so red it was impossible to hide it. "I..Um...Uh..." She stuttered, looking at his smile. "W..Wah..!" Her mind was completely scrambled now. "Uh..." She looked dumbstruck. He touched my head! Oh..Oh my god..! She looked around, then back at him, then suddenly blurted out without thinking, "I really REALLY like you..!" ...Oh no.... She quickly scooted away. I didn't just say that...... She shook her head. "I..!"

[[lol, I just have to do this, though don't reply.]]

David laughed at the way she went dumbstruck when Alex touched her face. This wasn't a hidden laugh either, David was just about to fall over he was laughing so hard. Then he heard Eri say she liked his son. He stopped laughing, and got a huge grin on his face. He watched her scoot away and shake her head, trying to get a grip on herself. David walked backwards towards her, then turned around so that he was facing her. David put his hand on her shoulder, "We get it..." He said looking around for any infected. "You like my son, but now isn't the best time to discuss it, can you all pick up this conversation later!" David said, definately emphasizing the last word.
Alex sat there dumbstruck. He blinked a couple of times, just making sure he heard her correctly. He went up to her saying, "I really like you too, but like my dad said, this is not the best time..." He looked around, "or place for that matter."

[Bwaaaaaah! It's going to be a shame having to make Mizuki all human again with my next post. I suppose prolonging his mad ramapge will only increase the chances of him bumping into the group - then he'll be in the s**t. And I don't want him shot. Yet.]
[[Glad you liked it Mana. :3 I would actually love to turn a story line like this into a novel . . .maybe one day. . .when I buy myself some commitment . . .]]

((Sorry guys... Just a warning... I can't post so often on the weekdays. I have much too much school work to do that.
Thank you for not posting anymore until I get a chance ^_^'...

Lol... Me and my brother were just discussing making this story into a novel... I thought it was ironic. Plus me and my friend plan to make a zombie video game. It's a different storyline... But holds a lot of the same elements.))

((Your posts were amazing Metzli ^-^))
"Groan?" Nina asked in confusion with a tilt of her head. She hadn't heard anything due to the burning flames, the yells of the infected nearby, and the low octave the noise had been at. However, now that she thought about it, she was subconsciously aware of a deep rumble that felt like it reached inside her ribcage. "I didn't hear anything... But I felt something..." Nina said slowly. Thomas dealt out a limited theory on what he thought the noise had been and suggested for them all to leave soon. "Alright then, it's unanimous... We're all leaving now."
"We're not gathering much." Nina told Thomas quickly. "Just grab useful things that might help if we ever get into any trouble. Grab a bunch of the weapons off the walls. Maybe get a rope and other things like that. So, we don't have to go anywhere but the bar room... Let's get going." Nina said as she rushed out of her room and went straight to the weapons room.
Jain stood up from Nina's bed and absently looked at the axe she had laid on the floor earlier. She picked it up, looked up at Thomas, and walked after Nina. Her shotgun still hung at her waist. It wasn't doing so good though. It needed to be cleaned badly.
Nina looked about the two walls covered in weaponry, only 'Mizu' the katana, a gladius, and a claymore were missing. It would be better to take lighter, swift weapons... daggers and short blades... she thought. A few moments Jain walked in. The older girl gave Nina a huge grin messaging that she was on her way to being her old self again.
"Help me?" Nina asked, pointing to one of the walls. Jain nodded vigorously.

Nicholas had completely ignored David's comments on true love. 1) IT was messing up the point he was trying to get across to Kalila, 2) He wasn't sure if Kalila truly loving Mizuki was a good idea, especially because of the situation, 3) If things got bad enough true love wouldn't matter and people would get with each other for the plan reason of repopulating. Kalila, on the other hand, really appreciated what David said because that's how she saw it. But, then again, Kalila was willing to sacrifice herself for many people. She didn't have to like them, she just had to appreciate, respect, and/or like them, as people, a lot. However, she much rather sacrifice herself for someone she loves rather than someone she likes if it boiled down to choosing between.
Before Kalila had looked into the isle way, when Eri spoke of the scents, Nicholas had been drawn into the girl and Alex's conversation. He listened and watched in a hidden manner. However, quickly he turned away and sneered. Freakin' hormone driven. This is playing out like a really bad, girly anime... he thought about the flirting couple. Eventually Alex started being industrious, followed by David, and that's when Kalila's isle incident occurred.

Kalila stayed in stance, rooted to the spot, holding her katana. She was becoming paranoid with the calm of their location. She was sure any moment they were going to get bum rushed. Pus the paranoia did have a positive effect, it drowned out the sorrow for at least a little bit. Eri and Alex's conversation just boosted her edginess, it was just too normal.
"After we clear the area of infected, you know... secure it... We should probably get to fortifying this place..." Nicholas piped up, talking to his older sister. "You know... The way Nina would go about doing it. When do you think they're coming? Soon?" Nicholas asked.
"Yeah, yeah, we should." Kalila agreed. "I don't know... I was so positive they would be here already. I thought they'd already be settled before we even got here. Maybe that group attack was too much for them... Or they got attacked on their way here..." Kalila said as she started to bounce impatiently in her stance.
"No way... they have a marine dude with 'em, right?" Nicholas asked rhetorically. "They'll be here." He stated, keeping his eyes in the opposite direction as everyone else, just in case.

Suddenly a gunshot echoed through the huge vicinity of the Walmart. Kalila had flinched and turned towards the direction of the noise. But once instinctual reactions were gone, she nearly cheered. However, within a few milliseconds she recognized the sound as not being one of a shotgun, thus went back to her paranoid mood. She knew infected weren't smart enough to operate guns or they would have been screwed a long time ago. Plus, if it wasn't a shotgun, it wasn't Mizuki. David spoke and it made Kalila's mind race. WAIT! Wait... What if the gunshots are at Mizuki?! What if he- her thoughts were cut off as Eri spoke up. She started that 'M'! She's talking about him... It was he being shot at... Oh God... Oh God... Kalila's breath had quickened. It was now shallow, quicker in tempo, but still an even rhythm. She looked to her brother to see his reaction as she followed after David.

Ada and Nikita were behind the group, yet following. When they had heard the gunshot, they only reacted slightly. Nikita had almost switched what he was doing with Ada. He had been looking out after Eri, making sure she was all right. He kind of let it go as he saw the hormonal exchange between them though. He wasn't one for beating around the bush, he always went straight for the kill, so to speak, when it came to women. Plus, it helped a lot that his looks were first class in the minds of many women. So he didn't have much trouble with it. Ada was scanning every inch of the store exposed to her eyes, making sure nothing snuck up on them. When the gun had gone off she only looked towards its direction, while Nikita jumped a little.

Nicholas's jaw was clenched, his gun held firm, his face was pulled into a growl, and his eyes were darting to different directions. He was following as well and quite mad at Eri's slip up. He had seen the change in Kalila's unsteady demeanor. Kalila was now running her way to the front of the group and Nicholas chased after her. He looked at the members of their group and then out towards the noise. Their group was filthy. Everyone was covered in a layer of filth from running and a little bit of blood. However, on the level of blood, Kalila was the worst and second place went to Alex. Kalila, fighting with her katana, managed to get blood on her, but only from more recently infected, since their blood was the only blood among the infected that flowed freely. Alex, however, a lot of the blood belonged to himself when his nose had been bleeding. Other than that, the group was just gross from sweat and the smell of infected blood even though a lot didn't touch them. It was because they were around the smell so much, it just stuck to their clothing and them in general. The cleanest of the group was, no doubt, Ada and Nikita. They had stayed inside, away from danger a lot longer than the rest of them. They had no blood on them. Ada only had the small blotch from Eri's cut on her jacket's sleeve. As Nicholas looked out towards the noise, he suddenly jolted with a theory. He spoke to the group as soon as David was done checking on Eri's injury.
"Hold on! Do we want to find the other survivors?" Nicholas asked critically. "I mean, come on. How do we know they even want to share this Walmart with other people? They had the place boarded up. We wouldn't have been able to get in unless we broke the glass, shooting though the wood or other loud things like that." He said fighting off a prideful look from his face. "Nobody was counting on Mizuki's super human strength to break through the doors... Why don't we just leave each other alone?" he said referring to their group and somebody else's. Hus older sister looked at him with something he couldn't quite put his finger on. It was something like someone looking at something they didn't recognize, yet different.
Kalila wasn't sure with what Nicholas said. She knew people could be like that, especially during harsh times, but she thought it was still worth trying. Plus they had a lot of positive aspects about their group that many would find appealing: They had scientist and a gun store owner. The rest of them, not known by others, would not seem important in the eyes of new people. They didn't know about each person’s individual specialties... All they could know is up front what your usefulness you hold for a group. Even as Nicholas went against what they were doing, the group still advanced. He didn't want to be left alone, so he stayed with the group, but he wasn't liking it.

The cousins couldn't help but agree with Nicholas's theory, especially Nikita. After meeting the characters he ran into in his mafia adventures, he knew the dark side of humans, He knew many people would do exactly what Nicholas said they would do. He voiced his agreement, summing it up with simply people were jerks a lot of the time.
A few moments later Eri seemed to freak out. Eventually she told Ada to be on her guard. Ada didn't need telling for she was already at peak awareness. But, it did help to know they were close to being attacked. Eri and Alex poke to each other, Alex trying to keep her calm. However, Eri's reaction was a quick blurt of her feelings. For some reason this angered Ada. She looked at the young girl and spoke to her in a strict, even tone. She told her to stop thinking about things like that during such timing. She said it was much better to live now, stay aware now, so she could express her feelings later. Nikita listened to his cousin, but didn't much agree with what she was saying. As before, he was more of the blunt getting together with a word type of guy.
David started laughing, and this frustrated Ada because she was sure if he made it seem like a joke Eri wouldn't take what she said to heart seriously. However, he went on to express the same thing as her, pretty much. But, it still seemed unserious, and she didn't like that. However, Alex, more maturely than Ada would have guessed, said the same thing. She thought the boy could be good for Eri if she didn't turn infected. She though he could be the logical mind in the relationship.

The siblings heard Eri quickly disclose information about getting attacked. Both siblings were already in a ready state. In a way, it was what they were waiting for along. Kalila knew, killing an infected was the only way she could ever feel safe inside the premises. Nicholas switched from normal vision to his scope every few moments, while Kalila walked in a loose stance.
However, as the scene unfolded between Alex and Eri, Kalila quickly looked back at the two. Alex... you're making a big mistake. She's infected! It hurts okay... It hurts. She thought as she looked back at her friend with an expression that read in-between "why?" and "What's wrong with you?" In a way, she also felt like she was being mocked. Kalila's love, she felt, was earnest. She liked every aspect about Mizuki. She even enjoyed his stubbornness, even though at times it was annoying: Annoying, yet loved. She had known him for two days now, but experienced, what she felt, was a lifetime of friendship with him... and an undying loyalty. What had Eri gone though? She hadn't even spoken to Alex until they stepped inside of this store. She quickly turned away from the two, disgusted. She was glad David and Ada intervened, she agreed now was not the time.
Nicholas had to fight his want to insult the two with a metaphoric stick. He didn't even pay them any more heed, just continued on with a roll of his eyes and a frustrated sigh. If this goes on... She'll be pregnant and we'll have to kill of an infected baby... Just like on DAWN OF THE DEAD. As his thoughts finished something caught his vision at the corner of his eyes. Quickly, he turned and shot and almost precisely at the same time, so did Ada and Nikita. After the barrage of bullets an infected fell on to it's arm and rolled on to it's back. It spasmed on the ground for a few seconds until it died. Only the first of many... Nicholas felt. Kalila had moved away from her brother as she saw him suddenly jerk in a direction to shoot. She had not caught anything, so rather than run after something she had no clue about she let her brother take care of it.

The infected had been attempting to sneak up on the group. It was one of the calmer infected. However, it had slipped up when it moved a couple of items from a shelf to get a better look. The movement had caught Nikita's eyes, which had been looking in the direction by chance. It caught Ada because she had been aware for a while of shuffling feet and movement in general from that direction. So that's how their had been a trio of shots. Ada wanted to get to the hunting department and secure many of the weapons for their group. They couldn't afford to run out of ammo, and with the way things were going. It would happen soon.

[[sorry about the extremely short post, it was because I had to head to bed lol ^ ^;]]

Eri stood there, red faced. 'I'm not even sure I meant that..!' She thought, looking down as everyone told her off. 'This isn't the time to be a friggen teenager you IDIOT!!' she yelled to herself. She sighed and looked up at Kalila. Almost like an animal, she could smell the scent anger all over her. She didn't walk up, but simply said, "I'm sorry.." And looked to the others, then to Alex. "I know this isn't the right time..." She was still red, but she had regained her lost composure. At the sound of gunshots she immediately covered her ears. The loud sound rang as she squeezed her eyes shut. When they stopped she opened her eyes. "That....Wasn't it..." She frowned. "That means there's more than one..."
She looked around, almost as if she was looking for bargains. She pinpointed a scent, and pointed to the backpacks and suitcase racks. "There..." She said. "It's only one, but I'm sure somethings there." She sighed. She couldn't stop thinking about how much she's probably pissed off everyone[[except David and Alex]] Because of her actions. She could have brought it up, and tried to apologize, but this wasn't the time or the place. "Alright then..." She said to herself, looking around. "Looks like we're hunting... because Mizuki's scent is overpowering my sense of direction..." She said bluntly. She looked behind her towards the camping area, then back to the group. 'Shouldn't lead them there....' She thought to herself, looking at Kalila and Nicholas. They seemed tense, so she decided to bring this up with them. "K..Kalila...Nicholas... do you guys smell a something burning...?" She said, looking around. "Do you think someone's here?" She looked hopeful. "Or Maybe.... There's a food place nearby...?"

[Fank' yoo Kagome :3
Just assume that an hour or so has passed before Mizuki finally catches up to the group]

Mizuki groaned slightly. Half asleep, he rolled over, onto his back.
Something lodged in his throat and he choked on it. His eyes shot wide open as his body erupted into spasms of shaking coughs. Instinctively he brought a hand up to his face to cover his mouth - old habits died hard - and something semi solid and wet slapped into contact with his palm. The obstruction clear, he lay flat on his back. Every inch of him felt drained and weak.

In the corner of his semi awareness, he could hear shuffles and grunts. Something knocked half heartedly against his shoulder. Mizuki's upper lip twitched and pulled back into an absent half snarl and his eyes rolled back into his sockets.
Ugh.
A sicken pulse had kicked up behind his temples. His muscles and joints ached and he had a strong and painful ringing in his ears. His mouth tasted terrible, his throat sore and slicked. When his eyes did roll back open again, the little light that had been shed on him before was blocked. By a face. As Mizuki stared up he was confronted with an empty eye socket, scratched cheeks and scraggled greasy hair. He was dimmly aware of the sick smell of rot, blood and human excrement. His stomach lurched and he felt something climb the back of his throat and rolled onto his side and shuddered as he heaved. This time, however, his stomach prooved too weak. Instead the thick sludge that had been working its way up his throat slithered back down to rest in an uneasy stomach. He was all too aware that the creature that had been lurking above him had been a Crazie. Disorientated, alone and weak - Mizuki could do little but shiver in childish fright.
A mere shadow of his former corageous self, Mizuki was on the brink of tears. He was confused and lost. The last thing he could remember was being stood at the corner, fighting to keep control. Now he was cold, wet and utterly alone. Two Crazie's were circling him now and he was far too weak to defend himself - caught in the lathargic binds of having reached his equilibrium. He felt a face come close to his ear and tried to whimper, but all that left him was a hoarse noise. There was the sensation of breeze in his ear as the thing sniffed at him. It grunted and pulled back.
Mizuki expected at any moment to be set upon. Mauled to death by human jaws whilst he lay there too weak and too afraid to fight back. But to his shock, delight and even greater confusion - the Crazie pulled back, and two sets of footsteps grew fainter and fainter still. . .

Mizuki lay where he was for a good while. Slowly picking himself up from the inside out. He kept his eyes closed, finding his location too confusing and too distressing to look at - distracting him from the slow healing process. The moment he felt capable of moving, he opened his eyes slowly. He was laid on his side on some tiles. Looking around at the shelves stacked with box upon labelled box he could only assume that he was in some form of store room. Rolling onto his back again he gasped at the sheer height of the roof. A big store room.
Staring upwards what felt like miles to the steel rafters of the roof made him come over dizzy once more. He brought a hand up to rub his forehead - then stopped. His pupils shot back in horror, his jaw hanging slack. His glove was torn. The material shredded viciously and roughly so his fingers could break through. The fingers beneath were stained with the rust of dried blood that was caked thickly under his nails. The thing he had coughed up still glistened grotesquely on his palm. A small glob of pulp. Bloody, flesh coloured pulp. His face mask bumped idolly against his forearm from where it was tied loosely around his wrist. Mizuki sat bolt upright in horror. Both his hands were the same. Both gloves torn at roughly to expose his fingers. Bloody, dirtied digits. Looking down at himself he could see why he had felt wet - his black top sticking to his flesh with thick layers of coagulating blood. Mizuki prodded around his torso and stomach in desperation - and to his horror found now tenderness. No wounds.
This blood wasn't his. . .
He began to mumble incoherently, his eyes wide with terror, his teeth chattering. He made to get up but something very close to him grated upon the tiles. The sudden noise and it's alarming proximity caused Mizuki to scream. It was a short, high pitched squeal that cut off immediately as his sore, abused throat closed itself off. His heart hammering a mile a minute, his legs shaking badly, he realised that the noise had been his gun. Somehow it had managed to stay with him all the way through whatever hell he had just lived through. It too was caked in a thick crusty mess of blood and minced flesh. Out of sheer frustration he went to run his fingers through his hair. This was thick and matted - crusted with a substance that Mizuki didn't have to ask the origin of. He began to shake all over, going numb with shock as he realised he was bathed from head to toe in blood.

It took a lot of effort for Mizuki to finally get a hold of himself and crawl to his feet. As he did he tried to ignore the large bloody smear he had left upon the tile. His first few steps were shakey - like that of a new born lamb. He wobbled and clutched to the shelves for support - leaving great red smears across their edges. He took deep gasps of air into his lungs, clearing his head and each time trying to ignore the taste of blood that came with it. He had spat on the floor in hopes of removing the taste - but the sight of that pink and frothy blob with scraps of meat in it had caused him to throw up the majority of it. The vomit had been no prettier, producing pieces of what was quite clearly brain and various other tit bits of the human body that Mizuki felt no desire to investigate.
He had soldiered on, heading back to what he thought had been the far end of the store room - but the sight that had met him had caused his blood to chill and his heart to slow.
A lorry had driven through the back door of the store room that backed off onto the delivery eneterence. In other words, it had taken not only the door, but a few feet of surrounding wall out and left it completely exposed to the street. Backing up quickly, almost tripping himself over in the process, Mizuki began to run in the opposite direction.
The running took a lot out of him from the start, and it didn't take long for the acids in him to start making his joints sear.
The shelves cut everything off and made the pathways almost maze like. The more he ran, the more desperate he became. His objective now was to get out of the store room - seal it if possible. In some ways, Mizuki was thankful for the sudden emergency. As life threatening as it was - it took his mind off of more troubling matters. Like where his friends were. And whose brain had been making its way through his digestive system.
He had been making good general progress before he ran into his first Crazie. It had been more startled by his presence that he was of it - screeching and jumping backwards. Though it had been set to turn on heel, Mizuki showed it no pardon. He hefted his gun and popped a shot off at its head. The shot had not been a good one, his hands still shaking under the weight of the gun. The large round had hit it just above the cheekbone, taking out the eye and obliterating the half of brain above in in a mighty splatter of gore. Blood and strange strings of sinew had flown out of the barrel off of the gun as the round had been fired, the silencer turning the recall into the smallest of clicks. But the sounds of alarm and the scents of the Crazie had been enough to attract others in the immediate vacinity.
Mizuki had bumped into two others before finally finding a second exit. These had been openly hostile and gone for him. Mizuki had managed to kill the first with a rough headshot. But the other had closed in so close in that time that he hadn't had time to aim properly. He'd squeezed the trigger and the bullet had ploughed through the creature's chest. The thing had shuddered and ambled on a few steps backwards before making a second lunge at him. This time Mizuki had managed to shot it in the face at point blank range. This had been the first time Mizuki realised that he wasn't wearing his goggles. His eyes had shut instinctively, but the warm spray upon his exposed eyelids had been enough of a shock. Swearing, his voice breaking with alarm, he reached up to claw the worst of the splatter away with dirty fingers. From this point he had ran full point through the exit door. The double doors were slow release - and even pulling really hard, they had taken an eternity to close. But even when they clicked into place Mizuki didn't feel safe. He pressed his back against them, looking around desperately for something to block it with. His first impression was that he was in some sort of sports or outdoor department. So he was in Wallmart? Thinking about it, it made sense. After all, the storeroom he had just been in was large enough to facilitate the needs of a building this expansive. His thoughts for a moment turned to terror as he recalled Kalila and Nicholas going into Wallmart. . . his eyes flickered to the blood down his front and for a moment he felt on the verge of fainting.
NO! The others would've killed me had I tried anything against those two.
. . . Unless I got one on their own. . .
Mizuki shook his head more forcefully, feeling himself go cold with dread and once more focused around him. Spotting a display of golfclubs, he dashed forwards, seizing the whole bag. Heavier than he first anticipated, he almost dropped them as he hastily turned to run back to the door - but caught himself, half dragging half carrying the bag back to the door. Once here, he threaded every single one through the bars between the two doors forming a cheap and temporary bar. One on it's own would have been a joke, but he hoped fourteen squeezed through would provide something more stable. Had he been feeling stronger and not so tired he was sure he might have been able to bend a few of them into proper locks. But as things stood - he was sure he couldn't even bend a spoon let alone a ******** golf club or three!

Slightly reassured in the knowledge that he had done all he could to seal this exit as much as he could - he set about the next top priority. Cleaning himself up.

[Sorry guys. I was gunna have Mizuki returned. But the post would have been too ******** long. So I'll monologue once more and then have him come back in my next post :3 Sorry]

Thomas dragged his body into the Kitchen, he picked up his backpack and stuffed it full of all the table top drugs Nina had in her pantree. When he searched through the cabinets for food he didn't find much he could take with him except a half eaten box of Nilla Wafers.

God, I havn't had these things in years...

Thomas cleaned his hands thuroughly in the sink and grabbed into the box, pulled out a single wafer, and threw it in his mouth.

It's so good... Especially since I've barely eaten all day...

Thomas roamed around the house putting whatever seemed useful into his backpack, eating a wafer every now and then.

He then came across Nina and Jain. They were gathering weapons from the wall.

"I barely have any room left in my backpack Nina. I stuffed it with the drugs in your pantree, some stuff I found around the house, and I think I could fit a FEW daggers in it if you want me to."

Thomas noticed that he still had the Nilla Wafer box in his hand. Although they were leaving, he still fealt very rude for taking them without permission.

Thomas didn't know how to react, he still wasn't used to this much interaction.

"Uhm... Want a Nilla Wafer?"

Thomas extended his arm and offered the box to Nina.

Jain still looked a little shocked by the situation, so he shifted in between the two with the direction of the box.

[[This is not one of my better posts... sad ]]

David blocked out all outside noise, focusing specifically on finding Mizuki, and not getting eating. He also wanted to find Mizuki before Mizuki could find them.
Alex knodded as Eri appologised... or gave the closest thing to it. Then he looked over at Kalila, who was eyeing him. Alex didn't know how to react. He didn't trully have anything to appologise for, so he just pretended like he didn't notice. Alex then turned his head towards the sound of infected.
David turned towards the sound too, Sounds like Mizuki's attaking something.... or something is attacking Mizuki. David thought to himself, not wanting to rule out he was still normal... but the evidence wasn't very convincing. David started walking towards the sound, making sure the rest of the group was coming too. He didn't care what they thought at the moment, he just wanted to fortify the store, and check the message on his phone. Which the longer he waited, the more he wanted to go ahead and answer it.
Alex followed his dad, not wanting to fall too far behind. They turned a corner and noticed something on the ground. It looked like half digested goop... Alex wasn't sure what it was.
David noticed there was a brain among the goop, although what could have caused it to become digested like that bothered him. In all the time he studied infected, they had never thrown up on him...
Alex looked at the goop and looked at his dad, who was studying it. Then his dad looked away from it, clearly looking for whatever caused it.
David looked around, starting to walk again. Then he noticed something. Something out of the corner of his vision. David took off running, losing the rest of the group. Before he was out of sight, he looked back at the group with a look that said, Don't follow me. He was looking for something, anything. In fact he might have just been looking for a few infected to blow off some steam on.
Alex saw his dad start to run, this startled Alex, but he figured his dad had a good reason for leaving the group. Looking around, following the rest of the group, he just followed whoever led next. He walked up to Kalila and Nicholas, and sighed. Alot had happened while they were in the vacinity of Wal-mart, ranging from Mizuki turning infected, to a girl saying she liked him. His emotions were all jumbled up in one big clump right now, and he really just wanted to be around his friends.
David looked around, he was now in sports and camping. There were human remains everywhere. Walking around, he saw two infected. They looked like they had recently been killed, considering the blood was still oozing out of them. Then David's vision turned as he saw a door close. He stood there, looking around to make sure an infected or something hadn't come out. In fact if David's vision wasn't fooling him, which it often did when he was tired, he thought he saw something go into it. He went up to it, putting his ear against it, but it was too thick, he couldn't hear the other side. He tapped on the door, but, again, it was thick and whatever was on the other side wasn't able to hear him. He tried to open the door, but he noticed someone had blocked it off with golf clubs. Pretty shabby too. He walked over to a wall, parrallel the door, and sat down, holding his uzie. If anything infected came out that door he'd know. He also focused around him too, making sure nothing could sneak up on him from behind. But, while sitting down he got a little too comftorable. His eyes started to get a little heavy, then he accidentally fell asleep, his back against the wall.

((I'm really sorry about the lack of posts sweatdrop . I had exams this week and a few final projects. I'll try and bring Garath back into everything.))

Garath continued tossing flaming bottles out of the window. He was extreamly glad that Nina had been against sutting hair. long hair was far better then short in his mind, also he had on too many really bad hair cuts in the past to cut it beneatha certain length. The fight was going well but he thought he heard something in the distance. He shrugged, it was probably nothing. Or at least that's what he hoped. When Terry and Thomas returned to the appartment he waited before doing anything else. he hard what they had to say and what nina had decided. He went off and grabbed his back pack from earlier. he then went to where he had laid out the medical supplies. He fit what he could in and left the rest. There might be more at the walmart but he wasn't going to risk it. He knew Thomas was getting food an other stuff so Garath concentrated only on medicine. He returned to the room after Thomas and saw him talking to nina. He walked back over th the window and looked around a bit. he considred asking for one of the nilla wafers but decided against it, as he wasn't that hungry yet. Sleepy but not hungry.

((Alright everyone... More news: Crimson Akane Ryuu can't really get steady internet at the moment. So She's taking a league of absence to where I will be treating her character in the same off-handed third person I've been treating babylumpkins's with.
Also... babylumpkins says she'll be back after her grounding is finished...))

"Ugh, What's taking people so long! I said the essentails. They don't even need to get that many essentails! We're going to a Walmart for Christ's sake. There's everything there!" Nina mumbled to Jain as she shoveled a bunch of swift weapons off the walls into a random bag they had found in the room. Jain helped and didn't answer Nina's question. People were probably taking precaution and she figured they weren't being as antsy as Nina was right now. Jain understood though. Nina hadn't left her house since she was aware of the outbreak being so close.
Nina and Jain finished with the weapons and waited in the room for the others to come, They had figured they'd come in the bar room because that's what Nina had said. I wonder how far the infection's spread. Is my dad effected yet? Did it reach the West coast of the U.S. yet? she wondered as Thomas came into the room. He reacted awkwardly as he had a box of Nilla wafers in his hands.

Crimson must of used those when she made the Tiramisu. Nina thoughts as she looked at the box pass between her and Jain. Jain for some odd reason found this form of awkwardness highly amusing. She reacted the same way as Nina had reacted earlier to Thomas's evidence of antisocial behavior. Shetried to hold back and grab a cookie. As she tried to eat the cookie, her lips trembled with held back laughter. But, as soon as Garath stepped into the room, she couldn'thold it back anymore and busted out laughing. The laugh was contageous, because Nina started to laugh as well. Inbetween her laughter Jain said things about Nilla wafers and how she hadn't eaten them in years. Nina agreed inbetween laughs as well. The friends were clutching there stomachs from laughter.
Well, that was the truth, Jain felt like she hadn't eaten a good home-cooked meal in a year. Dorm life was stressful and the constant lack of money always bit you on the @$$ when you looked for food. She was so sick of Ramen. As she calmed herself she actually ate the cookie.
"Oh no... We've got all the weapons we need, I'm sure. At least enough to hold out until we reach the store." Nina said, holding up the bag she and Jain had stuffed with the weapons. A smile was the only trace left of her previous laughter.
A few moments later Crimson stepped into the room. She had cresent and solar within arms reach on her sides. She asked if everyone was ready.
"I'm good. I think we're all done here... We should probably go." Nina answered with a nod. Jain asked about the other kid, Reshion, or whateer his name was. "He went downstairs somewhere... I'm not sure where though." She mumbled. "How about we leave him? He's safe as long as he's in this house and he has the keys to the Honda and that Jeep. We'll leave him an note and he'll be able to make it." Nina decided after a quick pause. She walked to the bar table, where there was a pen and pad of paper. The same one Reshion had used in his letter explaining his adventure to get the Honda. She wrote down in quick, neat, but big scrawl:

Reshion,

We went to Walmart. Get there as quickly as possible. Use the car or Jeep. Be Careful. The Walmarts close, just about 4 blocks away.

-Nina Diez

She took it with her as she stepped out of the room. She walked back into her room and put it on the windowsill, taping it down quickl with some tape that was on her desk. Jain and followed after her. Crimson came a few seconds later. Nina turned to see two heads of bright red hair and her eyes freaked out for a seconds or two. She blinked it off.
"Alright! We're ready to go, Vamos." Nina yelled to everyone.

Terry walked into the open room ahead, the faint sound of the infected moaning at the sight of the crackling blaze in the distance. The group of teenagers talking to each other would have seemed so innocent a few weeks ago, now it just seems out of place he thought to himself as he approached Nina.
"Nina, we have a problem." Terry started, " an idiot blew out one of my truck's tires if you didn't know already" Terry exclaimed rolling his eyes and motioning towards the room below where Reshion was.
"So we just lost our golden ticket out of here and my truck has invaluable supplies that are too fragile to try and move, especially while fending infected off." Terry said already calculating a strategy.
"The only option I can think of to transport all of us and keep the supplies and ammunition as well is to "borrow" a tire from that cute little Jeep and see if we can install it onto my truck. We'll have a ride that can hold us all and my medical supplies we'll be spared, everyone wins." Terry finished calmly. He looked out onto the crowded streets, his camo colored truck ironicly sticking out. We still need a plan to get to my truck and replace that tire without anyone getting hurt. Suddenly, as he was laying his back against the wall, he felt the pressure of the sniper on his back. That gives me an idea...

Mizuki had been gone from the door only around ten minutes or so when David had come to rest there. Had he reamined there only a few minutes later - then he would have been able to put his fears to rest. He would have been able to collapse at David's feet and cry. And cry. And cry. He would have been able to look to David like a desperate child looking for a father. Because that was all Mizuki wanted at this moment in time.
For a fatherfigure to hold him close, stroke his head and tell him that everything was going to be alright. That he wasn't in this alone.

But he was alone. After blocking the door to the storeroom, so no more infected could get into the store from the street via the hole in the wall, Mizuki had wandered off deeper into the store. He had bypassed sporting goods - completely missing the isle where a man's body now lay, his throat chewed out so deeply it clung to the should only with a few sinews of muslce and a fractured spinal cord. Where it lay it a pool of blood, hands clasping a silent shot gun in almost desperate rigor mortis. Mizuki had missed the little orange tent by an isle or two. The orange tent that wasn't so sunny anymore, but brown. The little tent that held inside unspeakable carnage that didn't even resemble anything close to the two humans that had once been cuddled up in there, awaiting the return of a Dad that never would come 'home'.
His senses were a mess. His eyesight having returned to normal human capacity seemed too strong and the colours too bright. Unclimatised to it, the stark clarity with which he beheld everything just confused him. So he walked, eyes narrowed to slits, as if trying to block out the sun. His sense of smell was less than that of when he was gone, but was still significantly greater than that of a human. He could smell the rancid blood coming off the bodies that he passed - but he could also smell the scents of other Crazie's, the smell of food stuffs that had been half eaten and tossed aside. He could smell pots of spices and cleaning agents that had been knocked carelessly from their shelves and spilt all over the tiles. He could smell faeces that had been left all over the store by Crazie's that had lost all knowledge of toilet training the moment the Turned. But even though he could smell all of these things in sickening detail, his brain was scrambled and still trying to adjust back to a human way of thinking - and wasn't currently able to distinguish one odour from another. What Mizuki smelled was just a glorious and confusing combination without a name. And it made him even more disorientated. The same rules applied to his hearing.
His senses muddled, and his emotions all over the place, Mizuki merely stumbled along half blind seeking only one thing. To wash blood from his hands. As he moved along, his gun banging against his hip - one gore caked hand rested listlessly upon it, he gibbered senselessly.
His mind was a whirr of confusion and misery. He worried for his friends and he worried for himself. There really was no way to describe Mizuki's feelings at this moment accurately - other than to put yoursef in his place.
Having woken up, covered in blood that wasn't your own. Being with your friends one minute, and the next passed out on cold tiles in a strange and alien terrain with no memory of the space between. Having the taste of blood and flesh in your teeth and seeing your own hands stained. . .
Though he didn't know it at the time, he was on the very brink of a nervous breakdown. He moved fast, dipping every so often as his knees buckled beneath him. He forced all human concerns for his friends out of his mind as forced himself to focus on immediate needs.
He would need to find bottled water to clean the blood from him first off - that would mean finding that. Next he would need a spare change of clothes. He would need the clothes department for that. He would need to brush his teeth - the personal hygene section? He would need something to eat and that meant going to the actual super market section . .
Thinking in a logical and really quite everyday fashion allowed Mizuki to calm himself. His mindness mutterings slowed and then stopped, his mouth hanging open. The wild and frightened look in his eyes relaxed to a look of mildly disorientated purpose as he straightend up and carried on with renewed speed.

Luckily for him, Mizuki didn't bump into any Crazies. Also lucky for him, he happened across a rack of Volvic Mineral water's stood in some miscellaneous section. Some bold means of selling - just thrusting it in a passing customers way in hopes they might see it and feel compelled to buy it. Mizuki up ended a whole two litre bottle over his head, gasping at the sudden cold. But the chill now seeping through his bones brought with it a sense of reality. Before he had been numb and distant, he now felt strangely alive. He removed his shirt and scrubbed his face vigourously with it with one hand, as he upended a second large bottle over his head. The water splashed on the floor and ran down behind the hem of his pants, down the inside of his thigh making him shiver uncomfortably. The blood, once moistened, lifted quite easily. He wrung out his shirt, trying not to focus on the fact that the water that came out of it was tainted red. Mizuki scrubbed away the blood on his hands and face and torso almost obssessively, almost as if in someway he felt that removing the physical traces would remove the emotional guilt. He stripped naked on the spot, cleaning every inch of himself he could reach, risinging his mouth so much that he could feel the insides of his cheeks go pruney. He scrubbed at his face until the skin turned red and sore from friction, rinsing his hair and ruffling it with his shirt so roughly it was painful. He scrubbed so hard it was desperate until finally his legs gave way and he crumpled to the floor, sat there in a great puddle of water, naked, real tears mingling with the water that ran down his face from his hair to drip to the mess on the floor.

Mizuki remained like this until the cold became unbearable. He had cried, yes. But that had been the overflow. The true misery lay beneath the surface, still waiting to be tapped. But feeling absolved having cleaned himself of the blood, Mizuki gathered up his clothes into a sodden ball and began to roave the isles, leaving wet footprints, slipping and sliding slightly as he went. He must have looked quite odd, this naked youth, except for the trainers on his feet, with a gun hung around his torso and a tight ball of wet black fabric held under one arm like a basketball. But luckily, no one human or not saw him as he closed in on the mens department. By the time his feet met with the carpet there he had dried off mostly - no longer leabing an obvious trail.
Mizuki cheered himself up greatly here. Electing to choose the most expensive boxers he could find. There was something so satisfying about tearing open that plastic packaging in the middle of the store, sliding them on knowing you could enjoy all the comfort and not have to pay the ridiculously high price that months before would have held you back. He selected a simple rest cotton vest and wore over it a slimfitted black shirt which he later discovered only had buttons up to just below the collar bones.
He discarded his own clothes in the small gap where who racks met back to back, including his old battered shoes. Moving on from the suits section he found the shoes. From here he chose some simple black trainers with good grip. He also liberated a pair of tight fitting black jeans from the womens department - completely unaware that he had crossed this border. He only became aware when he walked passed dresses. . . .
Suddenly thoughts of Kalila and Nicholas came back to him. But not desperate and miserable thoughts. Mizuki was lost in the ignorant bliss generated simply from being able to wear what he wanted and not having to pay for it. Instead, he thought of them as they were when he last saw them. Bedraggled and dirty. Mizuki selected a second pair of tight black trousers for Kalila - figuring she might have appreciated them - and they were more suitable for daily wear and tear than her dress.
Soon - Mizuki forgot all about the dangers posed by the store. Instead he lost himself in an idol dream world where his soul aim was to pick out lovely outfits for Nicholas and Kalila to change into. His number one concern was not that there were man-eating Crazie's lurking at every turn, nor that he had probably killed and ingested someone a mere few hours ago - instead his worries were more 'Would Kalila like this?' or 'Would Nicholas suit this colour?'
When Mizuki left the clothing department in search of food - he had a holiday beach bag crammed with clothing and a strange dreamy smile on his face. Within the bag was a pair of black jeans for Kalila as well as a poofy lacy skirt to dress it up with. The skirt was see through and technically from the lingerie section - but he figured it would be okay ontop of jeans. Besides - this was along the lines of Kalila's style wasn't it? She also had a black shirt with ruffles on the cuffs and down the front with white embroidered designs as well as a corset to wear on top should she so choose. The corset wasn't by any means a proper one. Mizuki had seen plenty of them in the lingerie section and deemed their steel bones impractical. Instead it was a simple hook and eye cotton one for decoration. He hadn't gone so mad for Nicholas, picking up a simple pair of baggy jeans that he hoped would be long enough in the leg as well as a shirt that had a t-shirt sewn inside of it. Mizuki had thought the double layers would keep him warm when the heating eventually conked out.
Hell, Mizuki had gotten so into playing the part of the designer that he had even picked out some clean pants and a thick heavy turtle neck for David and jeans and a t-shirt for Alex. The bag was heavy and buldged out of shape from its load.

It was only when he was walking towards the food section that Mizuki began to spiral back down to reality again. By this time his senses had cleared and he had gained some sense of perspective again. He could not distunguish smells and sounds and could see properly. As the closer he got the the super market - the more he became aware of the stench of blood, spilt food and the territoral reek of Crazie's. Many, many Crazie's. Thinking about it, it could only be expected. Crazie's were constantly seeking out Food. It was their number one perogative. And this was, after all, the largest source of food around.
Mizuki felt far too exposed in the open isles, and decided to cut through the more covered sports section. Here there were racks and displays to hide behind. Here he felt slightly less obvious. And it was along here - that he spotted a familiar face.

At first, Mizuki had to do a double take as he saw David slumped against the back of a display, facing the door he had previously locked with the primitive use of golf clubs. He didn't believe his own eyes, even the second time. Thinking it too good to be true.
Even when he was spending so much time and care picking out clothes for his friends - subconciously he had never expected to see them again. It had all been a parody exercise to make him cope better with his situation.
Then, as he became sure that the figure on the floor was David, a grin of wild ecstacy spread across his face. He half ran, half stumbled nearer - but faltered slightly when he noticed David wasn't moving. He ground to an immediate halt. His eyes wide with dread. Colour drained from his face as, expecting the worst, he closed in.
Mizuki drew to a stop next to David, his breathing suddenly becoming sharp. David's eyes were closed. Could he be . . .?

Mizuki stood there, pale and worried looking. His hair was moist and stuck out at odd angles around his head. With no goggles and no mask to hide his face, his eyes were noticably wide and scared looking as he chewed on his lower lip. Dressed in new, clean cut clothes with no blood or dirt marring his features he looked very young. In fact, Mizuki looked to be the kid he truelly was beneath all his agro and confidence. He clutched the shoulder strap of the beachbag in his hands tightly, twisting it in his anxiety. Even looking down on David's form, he looked so small, his tight clothes showing off how skinny and delicate his limbs really were. Dark shadows of fatigue hooded his eyes and the optics themselves glistened slightly with moisture. He nudged the man with the tip of his foot.
"D-David . . .?"

[[I have an idea! since Metzli isn't going to be here for a while, how about this. Sure Mizuki has found David... But now the rest of the group has to find them. We should make it to where the rest of the group doesn't find Mizuki and David 'till Metzli get's back.]]
David jumped slightly as he felt something nudging him. David pulled out his gun, aiming it directly at whatever was touching him... His eyes widened in amazment, dropping his gun, he squinted making sure his eyes weren't tricking him, he said, "M-M-Mizuki?" stumbling a little bit over his words. Then David came to the relazation, MIZUKI TURNED INFECTED! David sat there for a second, waiting to see if he would attack. When he didn't, David was a little suprised, he was sooo ready for mizuki to lunge at him and tear him to shreds. David stood up, examining Mizuki from head to toe. He was red, not from blood, it looked like from his skin being irratated. David also noticed his new clothes, and the bag of... something... he was holding. David put both of his hands on Mizuki's shoulders. Looking him directly in his eyes, which were starting to become dialated, he asked, "Where the hell have you been! We've been worried sick about you." Acting more like an upset parent then David. "We were so sure you had turned infected, after ramming through the boards blocking the door, and walking away. We had even heard a few gunshots." David continued, noticing Mizuki's eyes starting to get teary. David gave Mizuki a hug, he looked like he needed it. "Especially Kalila. Out of all of us, she was worried the most..." David looked at Mizuki. "You have no idea what this whole ordeal has put her through..." Taking off his mask and goggles, he stood there for a minute, hugging mizuki, letting him get all of his stress and everything out. David, being a doctor, knew that physical contact between two human beings was proven to do two things. Release stress, and lower blood pressure. Also, that two bodies that stayed in contact long enough, their hearts will sync up. But David didn't plan on hugging mizuki that long. Letting him go when he was sure Mizuki had stopped crying, he chuckled a little bit and said, "Heck, I even missed you... OH OH, and Eri said she liked my son." He said, trying to change the subject, and he wanted to share that bit information with as many people as possible. Then he looked at the bag, it looked like it had clothes in it. David looked between Mizuki and the bag, pointing to it, he asked, "Whatchya got there?"
