He let out a slight sigh of relief upon learning the information. "H-He's my friend... & I-I want him to-to be happy." he said with a smile.

"He already should be, with such a devoted friend." Mrs. Nesdin nodded, then whistled.

Atticus wandered over from the front door, yawning and twitching his tail.

"You take good care of Arron and Talbot and make sure they get out safely, all right? No slacking off." The knightly woman scolded the lion.

Atticus nodded, then nudged Arron's leg and wandered to the door to wait for him to come along.

He bowed once again. "Th-Thank you... & f-farewell. I-I will be b-back once he is finally s-safe." he said with a kind smile. Arron would make sure that Talbot would get to see his parents once again. He slipped out of the bedroom to grab the chest & join Atticus.

The chest was awkwardly heavy, though Mr. Nesdin had brought it in as though it weighed nothing. Atticus circled Arron a little, somewhat impatient, then stopped when his friend's father finally added the travel pack to his back, hanging over each side with a spot in the middle for Arron to ride.

"That won't be a problem to cart along, will it?" it finally occurred to Mr. Nesdin that the chest might be too bulky and heavy to take along. He regarded the chest with great disdain.
"If that's the case, perhaps you should wear the armour and wield the sword instead. Or keep your gaze to the chest and I'll have it follow you with my magic."

The mechanic was frowning at the crate, until Mr. Nesdin came into the room. "Ah... W-Well... It-It's okay I-I can handle it." he said vaguely. Arron was fiddling with his wrist plate as he pulled down his goggles over his eyes.
Talbot's father could see the menus being brought up through Arron's eyes. He scanned the chest, only to make it disappear into the toolbox on the man's hip. Arron pulled his goggles back up on his head & smiled brightly.

Mr. Nesdin's facial expression finally changed from blank and emotionless when he witnessed such a technological feat. His eyes slightly widened and he quirked an eyebrow.
"That's quite something. Well then, best of luck. I shall be ready to help whenever you need me."

Without further delay, the mighty lion scooped Arron up onto his back and began to bolt out the door. He was eager to return to save Talbot, no matter the cost. It was likely that the trip would take just as long as it took to get to the castle though, so he was prepared to have to stop again along the way.

There was a yelp from the young man as he was scooped up & carried off by the lion. He called out a goodbye to Talbot's father. He hoped that they would meet again very soon. He would ride on with Atticus until the lion was ready to stop.

Atticus took a break once the day was nearing its end. He relaxed by a lake and dipped his tongue into the water every now and then, spending only a little time there until he felt he'd gotten enough time to rest. Once he was ready again, he scooped Arron up like before and was racing across the land like a golden bullet. He stopped near a town when night finally fell. They would sleep there for the night.

By then, Arron was weary from traveling. He practically collapsed once he was off of the lion's back. He made a bedroll appear with his wrist plate, crawling on it & nearly falling asleep almost instantly.

The lion curled around Arron protectively and went to sleep as well. He slept light in case they needed to prepare for an attack, though they were still a day's trip away from the mansion where Talbot was being held. It was a habit he'd gotten over the years to be on guard. When morning finally came, he was up and ready to continue travelling, but he would give Arron time to eat and prepare himself.

(TC?)

Once Arron was awake he did get himself ready for another long day of traveling. One thing he wished for was his loft bed, back in his workshop, but knew that would come later. He hopped back on the beast's back once he was ready.

The final day of travel seemed to go by quickly. Atticus felt a sudden urgency he hadn't felt before as he ran. The closer they go to their destination, the faster the lion became. As the forest came into sight, the sky darkened once more, and the moon was nowhere to be seen in the sky. Night had fallen, and the mansion loomed ahead of them with a renewed feeling of dread. They'd left this place about three days ago, and now they were back.

When they arrived, Arron pulled his goggles over his face to be able to see. "Okay Mr. N-Nesdin... th-this is the pl-place... T-Talbot should be in th-the en-entryway." he said flipping on the thermal imaging to check. He hoped his friend was still in his cage.

There was a single heat signature in the house that time, and it was coming from a room on the second floor. There was no heat signature in the entrance way, and no sign of any other person in the mansion. Atticus dug his claws into the ground a little, worried about Talbot even though he couldn't see what Arron did.

The lack of another body frightened Arron immensely. He slid off of Atticus & bolted for the door, not caring about the noise at the moment, ready to bust down the door if he had to.
