When the two cats got back to camp he turned to Foamkit "come with me and we'll talk to Mosstar about you being an apprentice. That way you can learn more than how to catch a fish. By the way, who would you want as a mentor Foamkit, so I can suggest them to Mosstar."

 NightFlame padded out of the medicine cats den. He was bored. Willowpaw's madness seemed to be getting worse. CloudFang had gone somewhere with Casear. NightFlame sighed. He saw RobinWing eating a trout. He twitched his tail in greeting, as he sat down near the entrance of the apprentices den. (where in the name of starclan is timber? cloudfang had asked to talk to casear who knows how long ago...)

Troutail nodded "okay, so let's find someone." He looked around trying to find warriors that don't have an apprentice. Then he spotted Nightflame by himself "why don't you talk to Nightflame, do you think he could be your mentor?"

[Looking at the dark grey tom, she shied away. "would he even want an apprentice? he looks very...scornful" she whispered to Trouttail. "but if he's willing I have no arguments about becoming an apprentice. I want to be a warrior already!"]

Nightflame twitched his ears. Someone was talking about him... but who? he looked around to see trouttail and a kit. his brightblue eyes focused on the kit for a moment then he looked away. *the kit has pride... * he thought to himself as he licked his paws.

"Well, go talk to him, he needs something to do. Besides, I'm sure he wants an apprentice, I think, maybe. Just go talk to him!" he told the young cat.

[Foamkit gulped silently. Not that she would ever admit it in a million years, but Nightflame seemed very intimidating for some reason.
Taking a breath despite the fish in her mouth she trotted over hesitantly to the large tom cat. She leaned down and dropped the fish in front of him then stared directly at him, "Trouttail said you might possibly want an apprentice." her fur began to rise, being so uncomfortable, "And I was wondering if you would accept me to be your apprentice" she sighed heavily in her mind]

Nightflame glanced at the kit while he licked his paws and swiped them over his ears. He then looked at the apprentice, his piercing blue eyes at peace. "depends, you will have to ask Mossstar. besides. i dont know you very well." Nightflame said calmly.

"Oh? is that so?" Nightflame said. He swiped his tongue over his fangs that were drooping out of his mouth. He flicked his ears, as if he had heard something. "Well, it isnt my fault either. I dont know you that well, and you dont know me that well. So heres the question." His piercing blue eyes matching up with the kits glare. "Do you really want to know me?" He asled the kit.

By the way, a salmon is almost twice as big as a cat XD Just thought I'd let you know :3 ))
[Seeing Troutail and Lightningstrike head off in separate directions, Ravenwing sighed to himself and headed off in another. With his short furred pelt, he was more suited to fishing than Lightningstrike since his thick pelt would slow him down underwater. Plus, personally he preferred the taste of fish over woodland prey, being born as a Seaclan cat.]
[Ravenwing found himself at the muddy bank of a slow flowing part of the river. His sleek black form was unmoving as he gazed into the clear waters, trying to find suitable prey to bring back. After a while, he spotted a Carp swimming quite close to the water. It was a moderately large one, as long as himself - maybe even longer. Ravenwing dived in and clutched the carp with his claws underwater, giving it a quick bite behind its skull. The fish was immediately killed underwater, and Ravenwing was pleased to see that it was fat and would feed at least two cats.] Wonder how that silver tabby is doing? He probably can't get his paws wet without complaining that his pretty fur is ruined. [Ravenwing snorted to himself in contempt as he imagined Lightningstrike getting his long fur waterlogged and slowing him down. He dragged his carp up to the shore, kicking mud over it to bury and retrieve it later.]
[With that done, he turned his gaze back to the slow moving river, trying to locate any more fish. To his pleasant surprise, he found a small shoal of Ruffe eating weeds by the riverbank. As silently and softly as he could, he stalked over to the shoal until he was standing right in front of them. He dived into the water and out again, there times in quick succession, until he stood at the shore with three Ruffe laying by his feet. They were about 10 inches each, not too big but it would be good enough to feed a few cats.] That's got to be better than that tabby furball. [He thought smugly as he grabbed a stick and speared through the three Ruffes and the Carp, making carrying easier. With that done, he made his way back to camp, pleased with his plentiful catch of 4 fish - One as big as himself and the other three about 10 inches long.]
