"Embergaze! Embergaze!" Rosewind crowed. *That's one more cat in the Warriors Den.* Rosewind chuckled when every-cat crowded into the new warrior, congratulating him. *Oh, StarClan. I remember my ceremony. Mouse dung! I must be getting old if I'm thinking about stuff like this!* Her mind was teeming with thoughts.

 "To live is to slowly be born."_____________________________Embergaze_____________________________[Embergaze purred and nodded at Rosewind, then shook the excited kit off of him. He batted at her playfully, being careful with his massive paws.
He blinked at her, shaking his head slightly. Couldn't she tell that he couldn't talk? He purred anyhow.]

 M a p l e k i t "Stand up for what you believe in; otherwise, you will be trampled on by those who don't."____________________________________ [Maplekit cocked her head in confusion. Why wasn't Embergaze sayig anything? Then it hit her like a rock. He wasn't allowed to speak!]
"Oops, sorry Embergaze. I forgot you had to keep silent."
[She batted at him playfully. Her pupils enlarged as she saw his flicking tail. Her eyes locked on it as she wriggled her haunches. She let out a furious battle cry as she launched herself onto the dark gray tail.]

"To live is to slowly be born."_____________________________Embergaze_____________________________[Embergaze had to suppress a mrrow of laughter. Flopping down on the ground happily, he gently batted the kit off his tail. Maplekit stumbled, and he quickly pushed her forward with his huge paw, her rump sliding along the ground.]

M a p l e k i t "Stand up for what you believe in; otherwise, you will be trampled on by those who don't."____________________________________ [Maplekit felt herself slide along the ground. Almost immediately, she leapt up and backwards and landed harshly on Embergaze's paw. She looked into his eyes, hers dancing with laughter. He shook her off and she fell limp.
When she felt it was sufficient time enough to have him think he'd hurt her, she leapt back up and clung to his shoulder, mrrowing with laughter.]

"But I've heard that the journey there is a very long one and that it isn't even certain that the remedy even exsists. I'm- I'm also afraid that they won't make it back before I become affected. I don't want to attack any of my clanmates. I also think that it'd be better if I was gone. Then Duskpaw could be the meddicine cat apprentice."
[Icepaw said looking pitifully sad.]

 C l o v e r k i t“Fail with honor rather than succeed by fraud.”___________________________[Cloverkit sat purred softly as he watched Maplekit tussle and play with the newly-made warrior, Embergaze. The name fit him well, in Cloverkit's opinion. He smiled softly, hearing his Clanmates chattering on about the rapid changes in BreezeClan. Embergaze recieved his warrior name. Things were finally looking up for BreezeClan, even though the shadows of the Star Slayers and their threats still loomed overhead.]
(( @Ice- Duskpaw, lol. It's alright. XD
But, nuuu...Icepaw cannot die. ;_;
@Leo- Then shouldn't Dicekit, Spadekit and Cloverkit be assigned mentors as well? I thought Maplekit was actually younger than Cloverkit. XD ))

 D u s k p a w“Never give up on something that you can't go a day without thinking about.”___________________________ [Sitting somewhat towards the far back of the crowd, Duskpaw watched Embergaze play with Maplekit, her eyes involuntarily warm and delighted. She knew Embergaze deserved his warrior name. He'd done more for the Clan than most of her Clanmates put together, including herself. She snorted angrily to herself.
Sighing, she stood up and began padding over to the deputy. She had a few things to tell Galespirit that've been clawing at her mind for several sunrises now. Once she approached the deputy, she dipped her head and sat down before him. She hadn't heard what Icepaw said to Galespirit, but she did catch her name, and that made her a little suspicious. Nevertheless, she tried to sit up straight before her mentor and deputy.]
“Galespirit, I apologize for disturbing you, but I've been thinking...Since you'll be traveling with Embergaze and the others to find the remedy, perhaps I should be temporarily assigned a new mentor? After all, we've been postponing my training ever since the Madness began a moon ago...Embergaze isn't even much older than me, and he's just been made a warrior...”
[Duskpaw's claws dug softly into the ground beneath them as she spoke, her voice coldly low. A light pang of jealousy rippled through her. It was true, she should be made a warrior in about another moon or so, but she was about as experienced as a newly-made apprentice right now. Her olive-amber eyes crossly watched her paws, thoughts of what her own warrior name might be nagging her mind.]
(( Lol. > < And good, because I'm starting to try to make Duskpaw lean more towards wanting to be a warrior rather than medicine cat anyways. XD ))

So I made her temporarily a kit, but she is six moons and (in the Adoption Center) an apprentice. But, depending on how old they are, as it seems Cloverkit is the same age, they should be assigned mentors too. I'll PM all the warriors BreezeClan has asking them if they can take on an apprentice. I'm requesting Owltalon as mine though. ^^))
[Maplekit jumped off of Embergaze, suddenly bored. She padded over to Cloverkit. She sat beside him, sneaking glances at him every now and then, trying to guess what he was thinking. Soon, she gave up. He was way to hard to read! She flicked him with her tail and cocked her small head, as if asking what he was thinking.]
"Is anything wrong, Cloverkit? Whatcha thinkin' about?"
[Maplekit kept her green gaze intent on her friend, but suddenly a leaf floated down. Unable to resist, she leapt up and caught it withing her paws. She tossed it back up, batting at it. She batted it over to Cloverkit, hoping that he'd play.]

     ❧  ♨[Galespirit blinked at Icepaw, then froze when Duskpaw approached. Eyeing her cautiously, he listened to her, then let out a sigh.]
"I do believe Oakkit requested to wait to be Embergaze's apprentice," he said softly. "So I'm not so sure he could help you. Perhaps just for while we're gone. Or maybe he could train you both?"
Galespirit blinked, shaking his head, and added, "But that's partially my fault. I've had a lot to deal with, but that is no excuse."
[Thinking quietly to himself, he paused.]
Suddenly, without warning, he said, "Well, since you're itching to train, let's go to the StormClan border."
[He stood and nodded to Duskpaw, who seemed shocked. He quickly began to stride away, Duskpaw scrambling after him.]
He called behind him, "And no, Icepaw. We won't do something like that. Have faith in StarClan...I'll tell Rushstep that you're infected. He'll keep a good eye on you, since Dewburst is feeling better."
[With that, he bounded away. He paused to quickly mutter to Rushstep, who looked up and nodded at Icepaw , then set off, Duskpaw scrambling after him.]
(( Yep. : D Galespirit can be so sudden with his decisions. <3 Off to the StormClan-BreezeClan border, rain! ))
