Hmm what if its a future splice kinda thing, walt talking to his dad from the future... I mean if he was talking to his dad I would have been like "OMGWTF DAD HELP ME!" Not just "Dad?" So maybe its all like that movie Frequency?

My Conscience The episode yesterday told us that Hurleys connection to a mental hospital is him being a shrink. It did? I thought he just mentioned the hospital? Tyo Blu But however did a human Walt-boy turn into a computer box-boy? How, I asks you, how? Meri, you answer me that, and I shall use my powers to bring MDK back onto the show. 3nodding Huh? I mean, the hatch he's in has a computer, too, and since Walt would probably be bored and use it for something other than numbers, he'd say hi.

I thought he just mentioned the hospital? yeah, he did mention that he was a shrink. he said something like, "I was kind of the shrink back at the mental hospital." MeriThranduiliell Tyo Blu But however did a human Walt-boy turn into a computer box-boy? How, I asks you, how? Meri, you answer me that, and I shall use my powers to bring MDK back onto the show. 3nodding Huh? I mean, the hatch he's in has a computer, too, and since Walt would probably be bored and use it for something other than numbers, he'd say hi. well, suppose since Walt has powers and was able to make himself appear in front of Shannon and Sayid. maybe his powers also allowed him to talk to Micheal through the computer.

So Walt's a robot! I KNEW IT! xd Wouldn't that be a crazy twist? Like "Walt, how'd you get all these powers" "well, I'm a chobit, you see"

I will be back to quote it 3nodding What he said was something along the lines of "...transference. At least, that's what the shrinks called it at the mental hospital." Plus, put together with his flashbacks from last season, when one of the therapists said something along the lines of "I don't remember you and Leonard being all that close, Hugo."

Wow, I'm stupid. I was on a site with transcripts, and yet I didn't think to quote from Numbers. But, here's what was said in the first season:
Dr. Curtis: Hugo? Hurley: Oh, hey Doc. Dr. Curtis: It's good to see you. What are you doing back here? Hurley: Uh. . . [Shot of inside a common room in the mental hospital.] Dr. Curtis: I don't remember you and Leonard being that close, Hugo. Hurley: Yeah, well, we hung.
They don't yet have the transcript for yesterday's episode, so I can't prove myself that way.

I couldn't see him as a shrink anyway that takes schooling, and he seemed to young to go to school foreveeer. The last episode got me thinking for a few seconds about it so I decided a patient or an orderly, most likly a patient.

I was originally going to be a psychologist, but that would have taken at least until you get your Masters degree, and that's at least eight years. There's no way Hurley can be older than his late twenties, and he doesn't seem like a genius, so I'm betting he was a patient, just based on that.
