Opal watched as Vaati jumped out of the window. She stood up and quickly headed outside before Vaati found the dogs. Or, the dog's found Vaati. She didn't want to think about what would happen if the dogs started to chase Vaati.
"April fine. Nice doggie." She said, hugging the black Labrador happily. She had already fallen in love with animals, her short pointed ears twitching.

The dog smell was worse out here. He pinched his nose. Vaati followed the smell and transformed. He approached the dogs, hissing angrily.
"That's good." She smiled, then pointed at herself. "Alyssa." She glanced over at Vaati with surprise. "Vaati, what are you doing?"

Zathier looked at April. "I'm Zathier." He said and noticed her pointy ears. "An elf!?" He exclaimed.

"It looks like you're not the only elf child now..." She muttered as she walked over to Vaati. He didn't seem to like the puppies. She stroked his fur gently, but he turned his head and bit her. "Vaati, let go." She whispered, trying to jerk her hand out of his mouth. "Um, Zathier?"

"Poke his nose to make him let go." Zathier explained as he looked over at Alyssa, then back at April. He looked at her ears again and noticed that they weren't as long as they should be. "Hmmm... She's half elf." Zathier muttered.

Alyssa nodded and tapped his nose until he let go. She examined her hand, not quite sure what she was looking for. She couldn't see if it was deep or not, only two bloody dots. "Vaati! Stop! The puppies are harmless." She shouted, chasing after the cat who crawled into the holes Zathier created. She frowned, but turned to Zathier. "How can you tell that she's only half elf?"

April gasped when she saw Vaati. She was even more intrigued by his lavender fur. She held onto Sheinto as the Black Lab looked over at the cat. He didn't growl but just wagged his tail. He could smell that Vaati was at least part human.
"Well of course she's only half, it's because Silver's an Elf and Arious is human." Josline said sitting down and stroking the top of Shiento's head.

Zathier looked over at Alyssa. "Her ears are a little shorter that they should be if she was full elf." He explained and then looked over at Josline. "Again, that name..." He murmured.

Alyssa glanced from Zathier's ears to April's ears, then back again. "I see it now... Do you remember anything else, Zathier? About Silver, I mean." She murmured, then heard another hiss. She was tempted to go find Opal, she would calm Vaati down.

"I see he found the puppies..." Opal said, walking up behind Alyssa. "And I see Shiento found a new friend... if she wants, she can keep him. Much better than me keeping him around with Vaati." She said. She bent down and picked up Vaati, stroking his ears.

Vaati struggled against her grip. "Opal, let me go! You probably have dog germs on your hands! LEMME AT THEM!" He hissed, not caring if he was sick anymore.
"Well, it's a start, isn't it?" Alyssa asked as she picked up her lab. He still needed a name.

"Well, maybe we could look up the name in the library." She said, looking at them, stroking the Black lab as he licked her hand.
