She could see the way Troutail was looking at the toms, not to mention the wayhe phrased his words, and instantly knew that he very much so disliked her little games. She snorted. Whether or not he took interest in that didn't matter to her.
She unsheathed the claws on one of her forepaws and slashed at the trout that Ravenwing brought her. The gesture left a few very neat, deep cuts in the fish's side. Growling softly from the pain, Robinsong stood up and took the fish back to the fresh-kill pile. After all, why waste food that was barely even touched?
Still growling, she limped into the warriors' den and flopped onto her nest, curling into a tight, fluffy ball and trying to remember what angered her in the first place._______________________________

[Foamkit ran around excitedly, pouncing on shadows and enjoying this new-found freedom. She felt the wind blow through her fur, and loved it. The fresh spray of water gently coated her as she found herself getting closer and closer to the wily river that bordered their territory from their neighbor's territory.
She leaned down on her stomach, letting the rushing water flow over her paws. It felt so...natural. Tiny fish bumped aimlessly onto her paws and she tried to catch them, but they would disappear in an instant. Out of the corner of her eye, something small caught her attention. Turning to look, she saw a small, brown, and furry creature scurrying around the grass. She chased it feverishly, it being the first live prey she had ever seen. It was always one step out of her reach, but she wasn't exactly distracted enough that she didn't notice the white foam that lined it's mouth. ]

[Lightningstrike shrugged his massive shoulders and stepped forward, clearly itching to go. As the patrol headed out, Lightningstrike tried to focus on prey, but his mind kept wandering to Robinsong. Why is she treating me just like she treats Ravenwing? He snorted arrogantly. He pushed her out of his mind and prowled along the banks of the river.
Lightningstrike saw a massive salmon swimming lazily down the river. It looked half-asleep, and quick as a bolt of lightning, he struck the fish with his massive paw with tremendous force and devastating accuracy, yet with delicate finesse. In a flash it was flopping on the bank. He snapped it's spine, then carried it back to the patrol and dropped it underneath a smooth stone. He kicked dirt on top of it, planning to retrieve it later.
And what if Ravenwing finds it? The thought nagged. He told himself to stop bieng stupid and he was way overreacting about the whole thing. Determined to put Ravenwing and Robinsong out of his mind, he prowled along the treeline, his jaws open, searching for prey.
He soon found a water vole pecking among the reeds. He stalked it, then pounced, killing it neatly with a swift bite to the neck. He carried it to his pile and buried it alonside his massive salmon. Once again, he set out in search of prey. Clan first, Robinsong later. Clan first, Robinsong later. . . he kept repeating to himself.] ______________________________________

Troutail went to the river searching for fish or voles. He found one, along with a kit "Foamkit, what are you doing here?" He saw the foam at the squirrels mouth "of course, madness, it couldn't be a normal squirrel".

[Foamkit halted, hearing her name. "ah-" she turned to look, but the squirrel had already disappeared. She sat down, heart-broken.
Despite her hopes that if she continued chasing after it, it would reappear, she turned to face the tom-cat. "I wanted to see outside. I'm already six moons and I've barely been outside the Nursery Den." she laid down, and started grooming her paw. "it was so boring, I had to go outside."]

Troutail staired at the cat "really, already six moons. Well even as an aprentice you can't leave camp without a mentor." He sighed, "I'll come with you back to camp and ask Mosstar about you being an apprentice. After you get a mentor you can leave the camp, just be careful. That squirrel had the madness, if I hadn't come and seen you it would have killed you".

[She bit down the urge to say something that she might have regretted. 'telling me what to do. HMPH.' but she kept it buried inside of her throat. She stood back up with her hung low and hesitantly followed behind the warrior. Looking over to the river's wild waters, her head hung even lower, out of humiliation and anger. She didn't really want to go back to the camp...]

Troutail could see the look on the cat's face. He sighed I swear, I'm too nice. "Hold on, would you want me to show you a few hunting moves before we get back to camp, I should catch some prey if I'm heading back".

Troutail could see that cat still didn't like the situation "follow me to the river. I'll show you how to catch fish" they got there and Troutail looked in the water, searching for fish. he spotted on "you keep your eyes on the fish, unsheath your claws and slice through the water. Once you feel the form of the fish you flick your paw, sending it on the bank beside you". He did the actions as a he said them "and then you fininsh it off before it gets back in the water, do you want to try?"

[Foamkit leaned her head to the right, then to the left, looking upwards and thinking. "...I suppose" she stalked over to the river and dipped her paws in daintily. Unsheathing her claws, she waited and waited until the shadow of a fish swam near her outstretched paws. As it got closer and closer, she could feel anxiety creep up her spine and made her fur stand on edge. Suddenly, she swiped her paw at it, scooping it up and out of the water onto the river bank. It flapped around, struggling for the water and she reared up, pawing at it nervously.]

Troutail laughed "it can't get the madness from what we've seen so far. Though if you aren't careful some of them do have teeth and can bite. Great job, I know you'll make a great apprentice and warrior. Now do you want to finish off the first prey you caught?"

[Foamkit flicked her tail angrily then grabbed the squirming fish in her mouth. She stalked over to a nearby rock and smacked it's head against the stone, killing it. Dropping it on the ground she looked back to Trouttail "Don't you laugh at me" she spat, almost hissing.]
((sorry, she's really prideful, she'll act like that from time to time xD ))

"What, I wasn't going to say anything. Now let's take these back to the camp and I'll ask Mosstar about you becoming an apprentice. Just to let you know, you did better than I did the first time I tried to catch a fish. I fell in the water and Ravenfeather had to catch quite a ways down the river."

[Foamkit held back a snicker "i can imagine that" and picked the fish back up in her mouth. She strutted past him on the way back to the camp, pride surging through every vein in her body. None of her litter-mates had EVER caught a fish before. Nope, she was the very first, and she liked it that way.]
