I do have a question about yaoi, in particular it's fans. Why are yaoi fangirls so vocal and so proud of their love for yaoi? Most other people generally keep their pornographic preferences private and not proudly proclaim it to the general public.

The way I figure it is if a guy can openly voice that they like girl on girl relationships then I can just as openly announce to the world, ok maybe not the world, that I like yaoi. If you like something you should be able to openly admit it to others without much embarrassment if any at all, this is something most yaoi fangirls can openly do. They are proud to be yaoi readers, not ashamed of it. As of now days, not very many people keep their pornographic preferences private, unless they have some sorta of reputation to keep. This is why my friends and myself voice our love for yaoi.

The thing with yaoi though is that it is a triple taboo. Most people won't admit to liking pornography, only recently has it become more accepted, and then on top of that there is the additional taboos, ones which are considered greater taboos, of gay and hentai.
I wonder is some don't fully understand what they are declaring their love for. You see a lot of the underaged ones doing this which no matter how you look at it, it's bad.
With guys, when they say things like this, usually for yuri, it's usually only within a small group, not to the public in general. See the point I'm trying to make?

I loves Yaoi!! Its just too cute whats not to love. I would admit that I am a tad bit obsessed....I have about 6 GB of pictures in my collection and still wanting more.
