Is my first attempt at an Alice Bow. Its really simple >.< but its like 2 inch thick ribbon. It's not to terrible but it will eventually be improved.

I think it has to do with the way the bow is constructed, not the materials used, that makes it an 'Alice' bow.
Marionettechild, I like the ribbon you chose, but in order to get the bow to lay flat, you'll need to cut it into a couple pieces. one for the bow loops, one for the bow ends, and one for the center part that holds them together. Then you can attach it to a barrette, or something, to make it easy to wear.

it may not be perfect but i made it and you have no right to say that it isnt much of an alice bow. That was my first ever attempt and i think you should take a look at the instruction picture pearl had posted. also think before you type i am rather offended by your comment and i belive i stated it was a bad scan

i Have looked at the scans ive even pronted them out. ill try and make one this afternoon but i didnt mean to hurt your feelings i was just trying to help. i thought maybe you were confused on what an alice bow was.

I didn't mean it offensively. I just ment that It was a simple bow like mine not like the complex ones that is from Angelic Pretty. I really didn't mean it offensivly I actually liked it, except I didn't want my bow a headband.
I got really upset by Kali's comment. But I was quick to realize that What I had posted really wasn't an Alice bow. But I was using yours as an example of a simple Alice bow that people liked. Not something to be used offensively.

I like your bow a lot. I'm making a black lace bow. Not really an Alice bow just a big Floppy bow.

yea that would look cute. ^^ mine took me all morning. but its still not quite how i wanted it. but yea basicly thats all an alice bow is is a big floppy bow.

I love the polkadot fabric you used, Kali. I think I may be able to post some photos of a skirt tomorrow, if I've finished sewing the lace on it. This skirt has taken me ages, and quite a few revisions just to get right, so I'm excited to be nearly done.

My lace bow is complete! Since I have a bit of Gothic lolita stuffs I decided to make a black lace bow. It's not really an alice bow I suppose but I actually already had the bow but it was origionally a lace headband with a bow but I fixed it a bit and cut off the tails and created the center peice. I think It is much better then my pink bow -nod-
