Phoenix_Blue I really like Sholto...does anyone else find him totally lovable heart ? I so think that he and Meredith are going to get much closer xd ...and that she wouldn't really mind getting closer... I do, I do! I was disappointed when I didn't find more of him in the second book *hasn't read the third yet*. I thought he was adorable. And yea, there really isn't much to Roane or Micah. They are two characters I could do without. A few more character comparisons.. Belle Morte = Andais Niceven = Raina.. or maybe Mussette Sage = Gabriel ? Kitto = Nathaniel

I know there are some similarities between characters but...I STILL say that these books have original characters.

If the characters are like each other at all its because LKH has nearly no time to develop either book throughly, she's basically doing them both at the same time and right after another if that makes since, she doesn't have anytime to stop and think if you ask me. Now I love being able to read one AB book and on MG book a year, but if LKH decided to do a new one for each series ever other year, I woudn't be mad at her. I also think that would make the books better as it would give her more time.
Anyway on to Merry. I never really had a problem with either Micah or Roane, the latter was more short lived but in my mind he played his part and that was it. I do kind of wonder what happened to him though.

Narniakat Some people think there is too much sex in these books, but since one of the main themes of this book is how sexually driven the fey are, it just makes sense that there is lots of sex. And now that there is a competition between Merry and Cel to see who is the first with an heir, it pretty much seems the sex isn't going to get any less. What do you guys think? Does the sexual aspect deter from the books? sometimes because of all the orgies and such, i can't help but wonder if the series was an excuse to have a "slut" as a main character... sweatdrop i haven't read the first book, but i've read up to the more recent ones.. it's still a bit confusing though... how their courts work..

The sex is a very big and understandable part of the storyline in Merry Gentry therefore I'm cool with the orgies as long as they help progress the story. The thing I'm really starting to hate is the sex life of Merry Gentry bleeding into the Anita Blake books. I'm tired of Anita boffing every Tom, d**k, and Harry that is half descent looking. It takes away from some of my favorite aspects of the series. Also is it just me or is LKH making more and more contradictions in the character of Anita? She's very emotional, more so then ever then suddenly she is cold and doesn't give a damn about anything. Either she's going toward one extreme or the other... I love Frost he's freaking awesome!! I mean silver hair eyes that snow!! And of course ice powers!! I want Frost to be king that would be way to cool!! And he's so sexy and yummy yum yum yum

I thought it was super cool when Merry was lost in Frost's eyes and then he came back into his old powers with her help. I like how she seems to bring powers out in all of her men.

In the third book, Barinthus starts lookin' pretty good...I never really look to him as one of Meredith's guys until that book, then woah!

It's been a while since I've read the first two books. I was also disappointed when I went looking for the third and couldn't find it in the two book stores closest to me.
