That is SO true. stare It's like the write thinks that for their writing to be interesting, they have to make the character all... Whiny. And think things along the lines of 'Oh, I'm going to go cut myself now'. Really. I can't seem to get ahold of a decent fic with the right amount of angst...
I also hate that 'girly-uke' thing. It's okay if the uke is slightly feminine. I can stand that- but if the uke is all 'cry, cry, cry, does he hate me now? sob, sob, sob'- or whatever nonsense that follows those lines, I get seriously angry... sweatdrop
I also dislike useless characters. That just show up once, and then magically dissapear... sweatdrop

Seijaku_Ishida 1) Rape in which afterwards, the character has no mental trauma. Non-con, I can stand, but even if...nay, ESPECIALLY if a character enjoys it...there will be emotional damage done. 2) Girly ukes. I'm actually starting to dislike the whole seme/uke thing as a whole. Ukes are VERY often very feminine and are often doing 'womanly' things. 3) Self-lubricating ukes. 'nuff said. I have a few more, but those are the ones that get on my nerves the most. i agree with #one, in Gravitation, come on! Even Shu can't bounce back THAT fast!!! That and OOC

I like manly yaoi. No girly guys, like in school girl outfits. I like muscle. Might as well go with hentai if that's the case. blaugh

Stereotypes! I hate it when people get stuck up on stupid sterotypes! Like the height rule. Or making all ukes weepy and protesting victims. Cold a*****e semes who love their ukes deep down inside where the sun don't shine. Bleh. Stupid sterotypes make me angry! Use some originality already! scream

Yeah, pretty much OOCness is my only one. ^^; I mean, I read fanfics/look at fanart because I'm intregued by the idea of those particular characters doing things with eachother. Not by... some random boys who look like the characters but act nothing like them doing things. Then it's just sort of boring. Or creepy. Or both.

Lumicran_Minamoto ...I also hate that 'girly-uke' thing. It's okay if the uke is slightly feminine. I can stand that- but if the uke is all 'cry, cry, cry, does he hate me now? sob, sob, sob'- or whatever nonsense that follows those lines, I get seriously angry... sweatdrop So.. the more you cry and whine, the more 'girly' you become? XD I looove really girly boys.. but yeah, I don't really like it when they whine way too much. It's cute when they cry and actually have a reason, but not when that's all they do.

I have a few pet peeves, most of which many others have. Whiny ukes, unless in the canon they are annoying and born-submissive (a.k.a. Shuichi Shindou) don't go making them like this. I have seen this done to people like Itachi Uchiha... not normal.
My second pet peeve would be overused plotlines... Seto x Katsuya (YGO) is an example of a pairing with a near identicle plot line in over half of the stories. This gets annoying, originality is a grandeur way to live.
My third pet peeve would propably be chick bashing. Okay, so I don't want the gals to be with the guys in 85% of my pairings, that doesn't mean I don't like them. I just want them to be single/with girls/not with these particular guys.
My fourth pet peeve is normal male pregnancy. Not demons, not wizards, not genetically enhanced humans. Normal Male Humans having children. There must be some sort of scientific/magical explanation behind it.
Still on the subject of Mpreg, my fifth pet peeve is "natural birth" with males... that is just plain painful. That's all that needs to be said.
The sixth, and final, pet peeve is rushed intercourse. This irks me beyond all belief. While I love a good steamy scene, I like relationship development. If I read one more Harry/Draco or Seto/Katsuya that goes from them pummeling eachother, to admiting they love eachother, to being in a bedroom with the lights down low in under 3 hours. I.Will.Kill.Myself.

blackcatluck 1) Fanfiction that has two characters falling in love with each other at the drop of a hat. No development, just... "I think I love you." "I love you too." "Great! Let's have sex." "Ok!" rofl That's so true. I see that all the time. That's pretty much my pet-peeve, too, along with the rapist/victim love sequences. But I don't really mind the girly boys. I don't know if you guys have noticed, but the gay guys I know act pretty girly. rolleyes However, I do mind the boys that look so feminine I think that they're girls. For example, the drawing style in "Model." That guy has hair longer than mine, zero muscle mass, and he wears lipstick, nail polish, and about three pounds of eye make-up. And he's supposed to be straight! Puh- leese. rolleyes

[Erm..Rape] [****** much angst] [Whiney Ukes] [MPreg] [Overly girly guys] [Overly macho guys] [Undeveloped/Rushed plotline (Like, *Meet for the first time*, "ZOMGZ I'm in love", *Have Sex*, end)]

Eh, might as well get mine out...most have been said BUT STILL...I have many, where to begin?
Ah! Art styles that REALLY mess with the characters original look, and turns them into somebody who only resembles the actual character. Take Edward Elric, Fullmetal Alchemist. Usually, when I see him drawn in a yaoi/shounen ai pic, he's VERY scrawny, girlish, and even looks like shota at points. :/ Then again, this is when he is usually paired with Roy (No offence). Now, I understand everyone has different art styles, but...still.
Another thing. The whole, pre-concieved, SemeUke thing. Edward will be yet another example. In the FMA fandom, it's a rare and beautiful thing you get to see him be seme. I mean, it seems everyone, even his younger brother, can turn him into a mass of submissive uke. :/ And, yeah, he's usually OOC. Another peeve.
NOW WE WON'T USE ED AS AN EXAMPLE FOR ONCE. Over-femme ukes. I am sorry, but I want to be able to tell the difference between two men having sex and a man and a woman having sex. Now, if its in the character's nature to dress up as a girl and whatnot, then I'm cool with that. But otherwise, no. Unless for comedic purpose.
And, yeah, the usual stuff. WhineyCUTMYSELFOMG fics, changing the characters to make them want to screw eachother, rape with no mental/physical trauma and the victim wanting to have majickal healing buttsechs with his cold b*****d seme, FEMALE CHARACTER BASHING GOOD GOD, and overused story plots. Yeah, thats my long two cents. o__O;
