Expected time away: Well.... good question. Less of a hiatus notice and more of a return notice from an impromptu and unexplained hiatus. Had a LOT of stuff happen out of the blue, some of which I explained to Finch a while back. Things spiraled and I ended up having to be away from Gaia and discord for a while as a result. But I think things are looking sort of up now so I should be back in full within the next day or two. If a full explanation is needed, ping me on discord and I can provide.

How I feel about things since last year feels irreconcilable with how other people obviously feel about it. Not just in terms of agreeing on what happened but also in terms of ability to even discuss it at all without it just making everyone angry. It doesn't really matter if I feel like I'm right at this point, it's just toxic to everyone and I genuinely don't want that.
I already don't have access to the part of the guild that makes the rest of this operate smoothly, so it's hard for me to see a reality in which a fun RP scenario manifests for me. I love RPing here and my characters, and everyone else's characters, but it's become a more consistent source of anxiety for me than fun over the past six months, and it feels like staying might just cause that for other people.
I also had my position expanded at work, so it was likely that my RP time would be significantly reduced, or outright eliminated, at the end of the summer anyways. Now feels like a good time to step away.
I want to wish everyone good luck on what they're doing. Ozy and Melody on school and job stuff. Bun with the fun doodles that I miss seeing. Everyone else on whatever you're all up to. I hope the RP is fun.
