Elemental monk ... or wild mage sorceror?
I love tides of chaos, but its only awesome if the DM uses it against me a lot, thus recharging it alot ...
I get advantage on all saving throws, bad s**t always happens around me.
Or I go elemental monk and wreck s**t.
Hill Dwarf Dragon Sorceror Half Elf Bard/Ranger Half Elf Wild Sorceror Half Elf Monk/Rogue/Warlock (requires party to have darkvison)

I have an idea of what you're thinking for the roguelock, and darkvision wouldn't help. That character basically has to be self-sustaining cos nobody but him can see through the darkness orb

If I played wild mage, coul we come to an agreement that the negatives of tides of chaos trigger as soon as I use the rewards?

Oh yeah, undeniably so...though I'm not sure how that build would work at these low levels. Or was that just the "intended goal" and you'd be starting with the 3 levels of lock?

I assume shadow path for the monk for the extra uses of darkness/silence?
