It took long enough for Kaichiyo to joyfully skip in, set her traveling affects down beside the table and clothing chest, and take a long, eager breath before she finally noticed that the hairs on the back of her neck were standing on end. She blinked in confusion, but didn't hesitate to turn about and take a much closer look at the room.

As Kaichiyo turns around, there is only the opposite corner of the room.
But you still get the same feeling, still of someone behind you.

Upon finding the room empty, the little princess grew even more nervous of the strange sensation. She looked down and gave a quick check of herself and her shoulders, before calling out, "Hey guys?"

Gendo looked up at the call and left his room after putting his wakizashi on back in his obi and still carrying his naginata. Moving to Kaichiyo's door, he'd stop and kneel. "Yes, Kaichiyo-hime?"

Naohiko got up unsteadily and strode towards the door to his room. unsure of who may be listening in, Naohiko kept to a deferential tone when addressing Kaichiyo. "Is there a problem, Himura-hime?" Regardless, he opened the door leading out into the hallway and placed his hand on the doorframe to Kaichiyo's room.

'Gulp'? Thaaat wasn't normal. But she was the bold, independent sort and wasn't about to call them in just yet. Instead, she commented almost conversationally, "Either of you learn how to speak with kami lately?" and went back to dig into her travel pack. After a few moments of rummaging she came back up with her spare kimono and sandals.
...
And immediately spun on a dime and tossed both sandals, one straight, and one up at the ceiling.

"I am not a Shugenja, no." He was confused, but stayed there for now. That was at least until he heard the sound of something hitting something else, at which point he swiftly stood while opening the door to try to move in.

The Kraken samurai blinked as Gendo came from his room and stood infront of the door, putting his hand on the frame as well. May as well run into Gendo instead of me."] Naohiko would stand more fully to the side, ready to go in after Gendo should he need to go in. "What's going on, Kaichiyo-hime?"

"G'ah!" the girl standing a few feet behind in front of Kaichiyo would sound, jutting her arms straight forward, bare hands open in a generic "stop!" gesture, before taking a sandal to the face, promptly falling backwards into the floor, a trail of blood from her nose arcing through the air as a result of the impact.
Gendo, you hear five distinct thuds: wood on wood (ceiling), wood on squish, wood on wood (floor), squish on floor, wood on wood (floor).
The fourth thud was much louder than the rest.
What this has to do with the kami, you have no idea.

That was sound, alright, and not really anything he could relate to 'kami'. Sounded more like combat. So, Gendo pulled open the door as he stood with one hand moving towards his naginata, entering swiftly only to stop at the sight of Kaichiyo with one hand out and a girl on the floor with a bleeding nose and a sandal on her face.
"Kaichiyo-hime... may I inquire as to your new associate?"

The woman would be unarmed (with evidence pointing to the sandals belonging to Kaichiyo, rather than the mystery person), not even carrying a sword, sheathed or otherwise. Though she would have a rather scandalously low-cut tsukesage kimono (that was riding a bit high currently, which I'm sure Naohiko would take note of), her attire did mark the mon of the Hare clan.

"Apparently the secret is to throw a shoe at them..." she concluded, completely bewildered and yet somehow still managing to sound conversational. At least until she let out the half-whisper stuck in her mind, "I can't believe that actually worked."
And then her mind finally caught up with her, sending a deep blush spreading rapidly across her face. "I'm sorry! I didn't realize you were... hem... that is..." she stammered, perhaps even uncharacteristically more flustered than any but Naohiko had ever seen her. "...please tell me this isn't your room..."

Naohiko would look beyond the smith to see the pretty little minor clanswoman the low cut kimono seemed out of place with the weather here and the girl's kimono was more suited for warmer seasons. There was also the matter that she was bloodied by what appeared to be one of Kaichiyo's sandals.
It looked like Kaichiyo was well.... introducing herself. Hopefully this didn't make a bad impression on the Hare. Naohiko would like to introduce himself later. It would be wise perhaps to apply the observation techniques the Agasha and descended families were known for to ferret out clues that would help the situation.
