Sciurus watched wordlessly, as the magical girl focused herself. His anticipation soon turned into surprise when something came down from the sky, aiming at them. So, there really were Gods of some kind up there? In that case, the surgeon would probably be in for a hell of an afterlife. He blinked at the thing in Solsi's hand. "Wait... That's not the damned thing everyone went looking for, is it? The astronomical device of supposed mystical what-not?" Sciurus eyed the compass with suspicion, but before things could go any further, another Unknown joined the party and suddenly made off with it. Unfortunately, it happened too fast to give the doctor a chance at stabbing them, but the Radiant Anon's reaction was probably better. "?! HEY! GET BACK HERE!"{xDD I love Solsi's reaction! Just throwing things.}

Kate watched as Solsi clasped her hands together as if she were praying. A small light appeared from the sky and fell into the young woman's hands. It was... a compass? She stared curiously at the piece. Questions were answered as a thin light pointed them in the direction the car had taken off. Maybe this thing could actually help!
"That's amazing!" she said. They would follow it until... A WILD PERSON APPEARS! The hooded figure had snatched the device from the magical girl. In case the angrily tossed wand failed to do anything, the mage readied a bind spell to catch the thief.

The wand hit its intended target, causing the person to yelp loudly. The person stopped & turned around. They reached for the rifle that was slung across their back before picking up Solsi's wand, twirling it before throwing it back. It would firmly plant itself in the dirt between the concrete slabs of the sidewalk. The person had amazing aim.
They held up the compass asking in a gruff voice, "Teao shonuk col sha benta da va gos Nekarron?"

_Solsi pointed and shouted back to the thief in angry Japanese, something she didn't realize she was doing until after the fact. Just another quirk developed after her life started anew as a magical girl. Calming down a little, she tilted her head and quirked a brow. "Okay I think I heard the word 'Arron' somewhere in there..." Taking a chance she ran up and pulled her wand from the pavement. "You sound like you speak that weird language Arron does..." she said just loud enough for the thief to hear, "Where karaoke is...aduwei?" Eh, something like that. Either one of two things would happen...some sort of understanding would be reached and they turned out to be on the same side...or some sort of understanding would be reached and they turned out to be on opposite sides... Or she annoy the person and they start shooting. Hopefully not that.OOC: Yesssssss. My life is happy now. I hit a guy on the head with a wand.

Oh hey! Her wand toss actually worked! Although, it seems like the person had reached for the rifle before tossing the wand near them. Kate looked at both Solsi and the mysterious figure with a puzzled expression. Just what were they saying? Well, maybe she could see if they spoke their language. "U-Umm... Excuse me. We actually need that compass back," she said, pointing at it in their hands. "We're trying to find our friend and that's the only way we know at the moment."

Sciurus couldn't help the satisfaction he felt at the slight sound of impact, but any pending amusement vanished at the sight of the rifle. "Guns... There always has to be a gun involved somewhere, doesn't there?" He grumbled. The surgeon hated firearms with a passion, and he couldn't help edging forward slightly to put the women behind him. A single well-aimed shot, or even enough nonlethal ones at once would still kill him the same as any other person, but Sciurus wouldn't let that deter him if it came down to it. The assailant started to speak then. But their words sounded like nothing he could understand, so the surgeon just stared at them. It didn't help matters when Solsi started yelling in Japanese, and the surgeon glanced now from her to the thief and back again. "... Ne...Karron..." Sciurus tilted his head. "You seek the mechanic then? To what purpose?"

The person stared at all of them for a few minutes, hand still resting on the butt of the rifle. Their eyes stopped at what was in Kate's hands before tossing the compass back to the magical girl.
"Sha fie ya." they said letting go of the gun, "Kentava non."

_Solsi reached out and caught the glowing compass with a relieved sigh. Thank goodness, the masters would hate me if I lost this... she thought. Straightening her back and staring up at the stranger she still couldn't make heads or tails of what they were saying...but they couldn't really stick around to find out either. "Thank...you." she said slowly, mindful of the rifle the person carried. "We...have to be going now..."OOC: Did the person throw it to Solsi or Kate? I'll edit if needed.

Before they threw the compass back to Solsi, she had caught a glimpse of the stranger staring at the ring in her hand. Maybe they knew Arron too? She opened her hand and showed the mechanic's prized treasure. "U-Ummm... I noticed you were looking at this."

They paused before saying softly, "Yes I know him well." The person could speak their language.

Sciurus still watched the stranger warily as more conversation was exchanged, seemingly one-sided. Judging from their reaction to the ring Kate had found, perhaps this person was family? Suddenly Solsi's compass was returned to her. It would seem they might all be on the same side after all, but that rifle still had the surgeon on edge... Until the stranger spoke in English. Sciurus blinked in surprise before trying to cut straight to the point. "We must hurry. The mechanic was taken in a van, and we suspect he is severely injured."
