 Hinata glanced at the ANBU ninja who was still staring at her, then looked away as they passed. "He j-just s-said not to l-let people int-timidate me..." she said quietly.

 Shino paused before he noticed something out of the corner of his eye. Unfortunately the small bowl slammed into Jin's forehead just above the right eye before he could do more than blink. He saw the blood trail down over the civilian's eye as his head slowly shifted back upright. He saw Jin wipe away the blood with an irritated look. Kiba smirked. "He's right... I have no doubt you're a hell of a lot tougher than your old man gives you credit for. Honestly, I have no idea how he became Clan Head when his head's shoved further up his a** than Neji's," he said carelessly. Kiba twitched as he felt a odd sensation, like someone had poked him, when Akamaru darted forward, vanishing quickly into the village.Hyojin grimaced as his head rocked back forward from the drunken pair slipping out of a shop a half dozen yards ahead. A low growl of annoyance escaped his lips as his hand swiped away the blood from over his eye as he tilted his head slightly to keep the blood out of it. "I had hoped to keep this secret... but honestly, you idiots have gotten me angry... which is a bad thing for you," he said bluntly as he slammed his bloodied fingers to the ground as a burst of smoke detonated. What materialized was a small, quadruped, fox-like animal that had a red-brown pelt, brown, pupil-less gold eyes and five orange tails. It also had what looks like orange bangs across its forehead as well as locks of fur. It exhaled sharply with a small cough, a small burst of flame escaping its mouth. "Liùwěi... teach them a lesson," he whispered as the small summon inhaled before exhaling a blast of flames that made both men yelp in shock as Shino evaded rapidly by leaping onto the rooftop. Both men fled as Akamaru darted down the street, skidding to a stop a few feet behind Jin as the small summon leaped into his arms with an odd yelping purr. That is odd... I have never seen a summon that remained after it wasn't needed, Shino thought.

"W-what? Wh-where's Akamaru going?" Hinata ran after the pup. "C-come on, Kiba-kun! We have to follow him!" she called back.

Shino tilted his head slightly, thinking. We know little about where he came from, though it's obvious his 'summon', if that is what it is, is very familiar and fond of him, he thought. Kiba was already darting after Akamaru, a few paces behind Hinata. He didn't know what had made Akamaru dart off like that, but had a feeling it wasn't a bad thing. Hyojin chuckled softly. "Liùwěi... I never expected to see you again," he murmured as the animal he'd summoned snuggled against his chest. Is it possible to summon the rest of my father's team? They may be very handy here, he thought. Kraidar hummed as if in thought. It may be possible; it would not surprise me, considering you're almost as stubborn as that feral boy, he replied idly. He rolled his eyes with a slight snort.

"Wh-what kind of a summon is th-that?" Hinata asked, finally catching up to Akamaru and seeing the creature in Jin's arms.

Shino cleared his throat as he stepped off the roof, landing not far from the three. "If your injuries are healed, then we must meet Kurenai-sensei at the usual location," he said dryly. Kiba blinked, wary. He gritted his teeth when Jin insulted him offhandedly. Hyojin chuckled softly. "Liùwěi, you could say, is kinda like the dog is to Tweedledee there to me,".he said simply. "Where I was born... there were different ones like her with different talents... unfortunately whether or not I can call on any more is something I don't know for certain; besides, Liù-chan here was one of the few who stayed with me when I got sick and damn near died," he said quietly. "Some, where I was born, trained teams of these... among others , though unfortunately I can't remember what they're called at the moment," he said with a sigh before Liù licked the underside of his chin as she squirmed her way out of his arms until she sat on his shoulder, settling with a slight purring sound.

Hinata smiled a little at the little creature sitting on Jin's shoulder. It really reminded her of Kiba and Akamaru. "Um, Shino-k-un's right. We should g-get to the training f-field," she said quietly.

Shino tilted his head slightly, walking onward towards the training field. Kiba rolled his eyes as he turned, letting Akamaru walked a few paces behind Shino. Hyojin sighed. He glanced skyward. "Damn... now I feel like the third wheel... or a flat tire," he muttered under his breath. It seemed as if neither of the guys liked him, and 'Kurenai-sensei' tolerated him only because he'd shown up abruptly.

"A wh-what?" Hinata asked, hearing what Jin muttered. The expression was unfamiliar to her.

 Shino paused at the end of the street, glancing back to see Jin leap upward onto the roof. Hyojin sighed. "It means I feel as if I'm butting in on something," he said quietly. His gaze shifted upward before he pushed off. He felt Liùwěi tense on his shoulder as he landed awkwardly on the edge of a roof. I've got to get used to this place.... it still feels awkward as hell, he thought.

"K-kiba-kun, Shino-kun, you two g-go on ahead. Tell K-kurenai-sensei we'll b-be there soon," Hinata said, jumping up after Jin. "Um, is s-something wrong, Jin-kun?" she asked.

Shino blinked behind his glasses, but shrugged. Kiba snorted. "Yeah... yeah," he said dryly. He didn't trust the 'new' guy all that much, considering none of them knew that much about him. He had better not try taking HInata from me, he thought as he jogged towards the training fields. Hyojin exhaled. "Sometimes it isn't the physical scars that are so bad... sometimes it's the mental ones that can have more... lasting effects," he said softly, unaware of what had happened to her when she was young with Kumo. Liùwěi suddenly leaped off of his shoulder and straight into Hinata's arms. "You see, my father was among those who trained those like Liù-chan, before he passed away... she was on his 'team', along with others," he said softly. He shifted his shoulders, wincing slightly as a stain of red blossomed on the dark gray shirt he'd gotten from Shino just below his left shoulder blade. "I'm still trying to get used to everything that's happened, really," he said carefully.

"His t-team? Like wh-what Kurenai-sensei and Kiba-k-kun a-and Shino-k-kun and I are?" She didn't want to address his comment about mental scars having a lasting effect. She knew that well enough.

Kiba exhaled as they reached the training grounds they usually used to see Kurenai-sensei. "Hinata's handling something... not really sure what," he said to her. He suspected that she wouldn't be all that amused by it if Jin showed up. Hyojin nodded slightly. "Similar in many ways, though like any team it had its dysfuctional moments," he said with a shrug. His gaze shifted towards where he'd seen Kiba and the bug user go. "I'd rather not keep them waiting too long... they might think something's going on when assumptions are unnecessary," he said quietly.
