Jaecen begins dreaming of recent events.

The Fate of my Parents
I sat on the porch of my little cabin, looking out on the lake. This world that I lived in was one of the forgotten worlds, which people thought were a myth.Anyone who looked hard enough wouldn't be able to find it. But those who could see it, those whose hearts were true, they were able to come. Me, I lived here since birth. My cabin was built at least two miles from town, which was a terrible idea the townsfolk said.When my mother became ill, my father fell into depression. I kept him alive. Me, who looked like my mother, let him cry while telling him to stay strong.

It was while I was out collecting wood for the fireplace that it happened.It was still. There wasn't a bird chirping or a breeze blowing upon the boughs of the trees. All I heard was the sound of a pistol firing and an eruption. I dropped my hatchet and ran for home. When I had arrived, my mother lay still, as if dead. "S-son," a voice called in a hushed tone.
I ran to the voice, my father lay half-dead in a pool of his own blood. "Father!" I yelled as I ran to his side.

It was too late as he let out his last breath.Then, shadows appeared around me. No, these weren't heartless or nobodies. These were worse than those. They were Hellspawn (or Jigoku). The hearts of those who weren't consumed by heartless were swallowed by nobodies and became more evil than their brethren. It shocked me at how they had found my home.

I could not speak as the Headless Hellspawn slowly came forward. Frightened? Of course I was! It was then I remembered the blood of my father, who lay cold next to me. I yelled as I stood up and charged the beast. That was when It happened. That moment, a cloud erupted around my hand and a key-shaped gun-sword (which I later found out was called an Omnikey) appeared in my hand. I stabbed the blade deep into the creature's chest and let off a blast from the gun.

Dispatching the foe, I ran into the woods with more Hellspawn on my trail. I turned whilst in midrun and killed two more of them. The last one stood in front of me. A Lycan Hellspawn stared at me with dark eyes. I stood there, keygun-blade on my shoulder at rest.

My chest was heavy, breathing was complicated as my gaze tried to pierce it's cold, dead, black eyes. The resonance of the remaining Hellspawn souls floated towards me and absorbed into the key's barrel. I held out the key, pointing it at the Lycan's head and shouted. "Dark Pulse Cannon!'

The sound of the gunshot echoed out over the lake and distant mountains. As the Lycan's body dissapparated, I lost conciousness, losing all sense of time.

Jaecen continues his journey.

Waking in a Strange place
After falling unconscious, I don't know what happened. All I remember is waking up on a bench in a strange town. It looked nothing like home, nor like my home village. Where was I?

A stranger walked past me as I opened my eyes. This place was nuts. "Where am I?" I asked myself aloud.
A mysterious person heard me and said," You're in Twilight Town."
"Whaaa-!" I yelled, falling off the bench.
Rubbing my head, my eyes remained closed. My home, I thought to myself. Now I'll never be able to go back.
"Do you need help, stranger?" the girl asked.
"Uh, sure," It's not like I knew what to do. I'd never been around a girl, other than my mother.
She helped me up and I thanked her. "My name's Naomi, by the way."
"Uh...yeah...Naomi. Thanks."
"Don't mention it!" she replied, giggling.
I picked up my jacket and began to walk away. Why was I here? I could sense Naomi following me. "Where are you going, if you don't mind my asking."
I stopped in my steps. She caught up with me. "I-I hadn't thought about that," I mumbled.
Here I was, in the middle of a whole new world with no munny or a place to go.
She grabbed my hand and began to drag me along, "C'mon, stupid"
"W- where are we going?" I stammered.
"My place. You've obviously got nowhere to go."
So, I followed her. I mean, she was nice enough to let me stay at her house. I would've probably lain down in a tree and cried wishing I had died with my parents.

At her front door she saw the dead look in my eyes." C'mon, you're safe here."
Her house was nice, I guess. With two rooms, a kitchen, and a bathroom it had to be. I sat down on the couch and fell asleep.

Jaecen starts leading a new Life.

The Following Day
I woke up to find that I had been covered up. Of course, I still was lying on the couch. I guess I just went with the whole thing. She was nice enough to give me a place to sleep. Later that day Naomi and I went to the shops three blocks from our (I guess that's what I should call it) apartment. We picked up food and other essentials and then headed for home.

Walking down the street, I noticed a strange board with flyers on it. What's with that board?"
Naomi stopped walking and looked at the board, then at me. "That's the job board." was her reply."Y'know, you need something done and can't do it that's where you go."
I walked over to the board as she kept walking.
"There's usually a reward with'em."
"Hmmm," I thought with one of the jobs in my hands.
She turned around and grabbed me by the arm. "Come on, stupid!" She laughed pulling me along.

While laying in my bed that night, I held the job I had grabbed earlier.
"Thugs, huh..." Setting the flyer on my nightstand, I fell asleep.[A page from Jaecen's private journal] The thought of finally having some munny made me feel at ease. I began thinking, Great! I could begin to pay Naomi back for her help. My dreams, however, were weird. I kept dreaming of Naomi. Every time the dream changed, she was in it. What does this mean? Mom, if you were alive, could you help me? What are these dreams supposed to mean?[Page ends]
