Yaj xD Here is my poem... hope u like it.. blaugh Summer Sun Shines Great is the sun, and wide he goes Through empty heaven with repose; And in the blue and glowing days More thick than rain he showers his rays. The dusty attic spider-clad He, through the keyhole, maketh glad; And through the broken edge of tiles Into the laddered hay-loft smiles. Above the hills, along the blue, Round the bright air with footing true, To please the child, to paint the rose, The gardener of the World, he goes. sweatdrop -Yaj xD-

Just firgured I would warn some of you, because it says it won't count if posted here or PMed to Gallery.
I kinda hate when I send the announcement and mention for everyone to read the rules, they never do....sometimes I don't want to send them because not everyone pays attention and it gets annoying :/ Sorry, dear. I just asked you to send it so it would get attention. :c Well I know that, and I don't mind doing it. It's just lame how people don't know how to read.... If it were me.. I'd read it, especially since there's such large prizes. Because, if you could win 200k, I wouldn't want to do anything to lessen my chances of winning.. ie reading the rules lol.

Here is my poem
So nice to be bathed in the sun
Girls walk by
There's work to be done
Boring work
Wake up each morning
Brush my hair
And hear the church bell ring
Walk to my sister's house
A sweet 16 party
At my cousins house
Anywhere but my house
A dome of light follows me
Boring light it is
Men walk by
My boyfriend had a bad summer
I wanted to be with my man all summer
I wish he was happy
My birthday is coming up
But summer is always summer

so. i sent my poem in yesterday.
today i recieved a announcement from another guild.
turned out gallery's holding this contest in another guild i'm in.
i saw the winners of that guild's poem contest.
i then realized the 2nd honorable mention had almost exactly the same as mine.
well not really.
but the first part awkwardly similar.
the only part tat was complelty different was my last two lines.
scarey :S
i didn't look at any other poems for ideas.
i just thought of it and typed it out for just tat few mins.
so i just want to say i didn't mean to copy anyone's poem.
but the thought of the poem so awkwardly similar to mine is scarey :S

Hey Gally, I was wondering if we were going to be able to read the submissions by those of us who read the rules and pmed the Burnmule?
I mean. So we could read the ones we actually have to compete against instead of the ones people have just been posting in the thread?

To relax under the sun

The clear blue sparkling sea
The hot bright summer sun
The relaxing sound of buzzing bees
And a nice day to play with father and his son
There are no dark clouds in the sky
Soar with the wind with your kite
Look at the colorful birds
Play in the morning,sleep soundly at night
So move faster
No time to waste
