[D&D/Pathfinder] Mor'Halas ((Game Thread))

Beast: The Beast is begins to cast another spell and is immediately stabbed by Laertes, Tabitha and Kiri, causing him to spit up black iccor and loose the words to his spell. Nadyei's arrows thud heavily into its chest not moments later. In a fit of divine fury, Mordred's blade sinks into its skull, revealing more black iccor and a fairly amazed look from the Beast. It falls backwards and its body fades from existance before landing, leaving only its clothes and possessions.

The scorpians, now left without instruction, strike out violently against Nadyei and Mordred. Their claws both miss, but Nadyei is struck by the poisoned point of the tail. ((Take 4 damage and roll Fortitdue))

Lamonts wife continues choking their daughter, the girls face now turning blue. Demitry's hand in her face causes her to blink and the sudden flash causes he to drop the girl and rubs her eyes furiously. The girl runs to her brothers, coughing and sobbing.

Lamont manages to restrain his wife as she is dazed and rubbing her eyes, she struggles valiantly, but is not a match for her husband's strength and training.

Kiri: As the creature fades, you are still left with a sense of unease.

Lamont: Between Demitry's flare and your skill, you've managed to restrain your wife. She is fighting against you as much as possible.

Nadyei: You smile with grim satisfaction as the arrows come into contact with the Beast, which might be why you weren't able to dodge the tail of the scorpian attacking you, it buries itself deep into your leg before pulling back.

Tabitha: It is with some surprise that the Beast looks down at you as your blades pierces his side.

Shane: Your dagger stabs into its back, causing it to arch foward into Mordred's swing. Black iccor seeps from the wounds and onto you hand, slickening the handle.

Mordred: Your blade nearly cleaves the Beast's head in twain. It glares at you with no small amount of rage, but its eyes roll back up into its head and it falls backwards, pulling its head loose from your blade. The fire causes the iccor to burn, the smell is sickening.

All: A light shines from insides the Beast's clothes and it fades almost a second after it starts. A shimmer starts in the air and it is very large to look at.

Feeling burning in his core, Demitry turns in time to see the summoner fall, "Pity..." Hearing a a groan, he redirects his attention the scorpion that stabbed Nadyei, "Audio nexu vestro in terra, licet ipsum manet, qui simul. Et nunc devorabit eos." As he chants his spell, his left hand quickly finds the ingredients for his spell. Focusing on the moisture surrounding his glove-less left hand, he pours his magic into it, shaping into a disc, and shifting the acidity. Placing the tip of a small dart, the acidic glob anchors itself to the focus, winding back, he slings the spell....

Lamont is going to keep his wife and children under watch. He's also going to attempt to bring his wife back to sanity and ensure his children don't befall the same plight.

"Jesica, Baldur, Evin. Just stay calm and stay together. It's alright, Daddy's here". He gives a comforting nod and smile to assure them the situation is under control.

Whispering to his wife. "Leilah, stop this, come to your senses, please.. your children need you".

Kiri is on edge, her eyes focused on the shimmer in the air. She moves forward to the very space where the beast had just dissipated, giving a savage poke at the scorpion as she does moves. She doesn't want to leave the lightly armored Tabitha and Shane alone too close to that ominous shimmer...

{Possible crit on Mr. Scorpion....hopefully yes....}

{Sorry if anyone has been waiting on me....has been a crazy week, and even when I have been on Gaia I've had no brain power....}  

[Disciple of Sakura]

Feeling slightly queasy after the scorpion's stinger struck her, Nadyei retreats slightly from the scorpion, doing her best to put some distance between her and it while still firing two shots from her bow at the monster.

{Taking a 5' step SW from my position and double firing. That's a 20 for 17 damage and a 14 for 12 damage, if either of them hit. Adjust if DEX has been reduced due to poison, assuming that took effect.}  

[Strawberry Bathory]

Tabitha moves to strike the scorpion attacking Nadyei, but is distracted by the shimmering and her attack goes wide.  

[Laertes Ursus]

Shane darts into a flanking position on the Southern scorpion(Provoking as necessary), and makes a deadly stab in a key area. (15 total damage)

Scorpions: The scorpion being attacked by the group of Kiri, Shane, and Mordred is quickly dispatched by the skilled combatants. it chitters weakly and collapses to the ground, ichor pour from its wounds.

The scorpion under assault by Demitry and Nadyei faces a similar fate, though first splattering the ground and melting into the stone of the courtyard.

The shimmering cloud actually increases in size, the form coleasing into an enourmous scorpian, streaked with red sloptches and eys gleaming with infernal intelligence. "Why have you called me, Sissnlitkin?" It actually speaks, beofre noticing the bundle of clothes on the ground.

"You b*****d! You left me stranded on this plane!" The monstrous scorpion lashed out with its tail, impaling poor Mordred and lifting him from the ground. Morred looks down at the tail going through his chest and looks back up at the group, fear and shock in his eyes and blood running from his mouth.

ody over the building tops. "Now, whose next?"
Kiri: The scorpion's tail nearly knocks you off your feet. The scorpions inhuman voice is soft and hissing, though it clearly carries over the battlefield.

Lamont: Your wife's form goes slack in your hands. It appears as though she has lost conciousness. You look up to see a truly abhorrent beast throwing your best friend's lifeless corpse over the buildings behind it.

Nadyei: The splatter of the scorpion covers your new outift, the black ichor staining the clothes deeply. The sight of the gargantuan scorpion is truly repulsive. A green slime drips from its mandibles and drips on the ground.

Tabitha: You are also covered with the exploding scorpion's ichor. Turning you see the sound of the voice that causes a deep shuddering fear in your core.

Shane: Your quick reflexes save you from the tail that decends from above. Blood from above splatters on your head and runs down your scalp. You scoff haughtily at the monster, you lived through worse, though in another time and place.

All: The noise he caused with each step echoed with resounding noise from his heavy footsteps and the miscellanious shifting of armour and gear. With a swift hand movement, he unbuckled a strap on his one arm that allowed him to drop a chest he had strapped to his back to the ground with a loud thump. In his opposite hand he carried what appeared to be the remaining tail gland of a scorpion that still oozed with thick liquids of black and purple. His eyes glowed with dark intension as he watched the sparks and fireworks appear before him. He knew what was going to appear and he knew that he had to draw his axe. "KURRRRRROK!"

A giant of a man uses an axe to cut through the barrier of force. He charges throught the cut, which flaps like paper in the wind before sealing up behind him.

Feeling the anger building up, Demitry tries to channel the fury as acidic black smoke start to rise up from his own robes. Spotting the stranger, he attempts to shift his thoughts before he resumes his attack. "Hail to you stranger!"

Kiri screams wordlessly as the creature kills Mordred, unable to even think clearly through her horror. Training kicks in enough to have her thrusting her bardiche at the monstrosity, but the polearm swings uselessly wide.  

[Disciple of Sakura]

"Mordred! NnnoooooOOOOOOO!" She whipped her bow, an arrow of coruscating silver energy already knocked, as her eyes hardened. "You shall not harm anyone or anything else, monster!" The first arrow flew true, the second much less accurate, as tears ran down her face.

{That's a 25 for 16 damage, 17 for 18 damage. Not sure if either hit (though I hope the 25 did!), but here's hoping. The damage is Magic and Force, in case either of those impacts its DR (I'm assuming it has some, being an outsider and all...)}  

[Laertes Ursus]

Well... s**t. This day just keeps getting better and better. Shane edged back from the enormous Scorpion, dropping his dagger and slinging out his bow. It was days like today he was glad his bag was small. A notched and then loosed arrow was fired at the creature, in hopes that such an attack would at least do something to the tailless summon.

Lamont shocked and frightened of the situation at hand is at first unable to take action.

Holding his wife in his arms, and children near by, he calls his younglings to his side and hides them behind the large column to make certain that no shall come to them... he hopes. Staying with them a moment he tries to calm and assure his children that they are safe, and they're mother is just sleeping.

He desires to rejoin the battle but is unable to come to a decision thus far.

He prays to his goddess and her heralds that aid comes soon, or that his allies at least are able to utilize the benefit of his nimbus of light.
