Caesar gulped a little, he had a feeling this was going to be another hopeless interview. "So Phenix," Caesar smiled broadly. "We've all heard stories of home, of family and great things like that, but how about something about now. You in particular managed to get a seven point eight in training, so I would assume you're a good person to ask. You've been in the Capitol for some time now, interacting with the other tributes, who would you say is a most valuable ally? " Caesar had relaxed a little as he spoke, leaning forward in his seat while he did, but retreating a bit when he asked his question, in an attempt to be a catalyst for a good answer.

"Me." It was a simple, short answer, and, yes, it was not what he wanted. But Ardeur had to keep this interview as simple as possible. People knew he was strong, and that he would fight his life to the very end. He kept his face locked in a stone-cold position, and a dark fire smoldered behind his eyes.
There were many electric lights all around him, and one was putting out large amounts of heat. A slight spark was all he needed; then he could enjoy his time. His gaze flickered slightly in its direction, then focused back on Caesar.

Caesar showed no sign of frustration at the fact that his question had been taken the wrong way. "Well aside from you, who then?" Caesar was quick to follow Phenix's gaze, to a light above that seemed to have some issue, and was now sparking ever so slightly. Caesar's eyes returned to Phenix, looking into is eyes. Eyes that were full of the darkest fire, a cold rage.

Ardeur answered Caesar's question coolly, his eyes no longer straying to the light, though he spent most of his mind on calling a flame from its depths. "Well, if you'd care to show me a map of the arena, then I could easily answer your question. If you are not inclined to do so, then I must return to my original answer." Finally, the flame was born, and though his face remained impartial, he relaxed greatly as it soared towards him and hovered a few inches from his nose, his gaze resting in its glowing depths.

Caesar internally sighed a bit as Phenix gave his answer, but knew they must quickly segway into a new topic. "Well I know we don't have much time left, so, what do you think of Rosaline? She was just up here, enchanting us all. What is your opinion of the tribute from district eleven?" Caesar had worked his way back into a relaxed posisition, and patiently waited for an answer.

"Rosaline." The word was more of a purr than a series of syllables, and Ardeur's flame grew larger, and brighter, turning deep red, though he did not take his eyes off it. "She is... intriguing." Then suddenly the flame leapt high and went out with a bright flash of light. "But fire and earth are no more alike than night and day, and one cannot survive alongside the other." His last words, already a mumble, were masked by the sound of the buzzer so he wasn't sure if anyone had heard it. His eyes were slightly hollow as he left the stage, and he did not even glance at Cendre as he passed her on his way out.
His words were still echoing in his head. In the end, he knew that he would either watch Rosaline die, or he would die and would not be able to protect her--not that she needed it, she was strong--or, worst of all... she would kill him. Ardeur swallowed dryly. Though he'd barely known her for a few days, he had felt a memory of his first home awoken by her, a connection to plants and beautiful, natural things that had not stirred in his mind for some time. And now he was drawn to her, even though he knew the way the Games would have to end. And it would kill him, he knew, in a way more horrible than his eventual death in the arena.

Caesar sighed as the next interview began, but his sign now was no longer audible. "Come on up Cendre," Caesar called down to the tributes seating area, waiting for her to arrive on stage.

Cendre Vol
If it would not have given her power away to the audience, Cendre would have literally melted into the stage right then and there. However, she could not use her powers well under the bright lights, anyway, so she simply stood and slunk to the stage, taking a seat but keeping her eyes hidden behind her long hair. She did not look Caesar in the face, but instead she simply glowered at the audience.

Caesar could feel that this girl, like her district mate, was unwilling to be there, and wasn't about to carry a conversation. Inhaling quietly, Caesar spoke. "Hello Cendre," his voice was warm but not aggressive. "I'm going to ask the question that must be on everyone's mind here. How did you manage a ten from the Game Makers?" Caesar was hoping for something of a responce from this question, not just a simple statement.

At Caesar's question, Cendre glanced up at him through her bangs, her eyes glittering, and a slight smile curved one side of her mouth. The smile was part mischief, part rebellion, and part conspiracy. "Well," she said, pausing before she continued, "I didn't just ask them nicely." She blinked once in the middle of her sentence, her right eyebrow arching upwards slightly in amusement at the memory of the assessment.

Caesar smiled at the girls vague answer. He leaned forward a bit as he spoke now, his voice still calm. "Well I suppose that could be one way of getting around to it," he chuckled. "How about in the arena, will your first bet be to risk it all, or do you see yourself playing it safe? Why?" Caesar asked in an interested tone.

Cendre Vol
"Hmm...." Cendre let the sound draw out as she exhaled, buying time. She knew she would disappear before anyone saw her, might take a weapon or some supplies that were easy to get at, and hide until everyone cut each other to pieces, but no one else could. So, she simply said, "Well, I don't intend on dying in there, and let's leave it at that." The smile had faded somewhat, since she knew she probably would die, but with her ability, her chances weren't as horrible as some people's.

"Well I'm sure those are your best intentions," Caesar's voice grew a bit quieter, he had a feeling that this girl was a fighter. "For your final question, what do you see happening if you win the games?" Caesar hoped to instill some hope in Cendre's heart.

The lopsided grin returned to Cendre's face. "Big if," she laughed slightly. "But, in that very unlikely scenario... Shadows. I see shadows." Her eyes were dark, her usually grey irises turned nearly pitch-black with the shadow cast on her face, as she saw the faces of all those tributes dead upon the ground. But, then again, what was the point of fighting it? May as well let them kill each other and pick off the last few. If you don't, then you'll just die and it will all be over, anyway. There is no guilt when you have no choice.
...Or do you want to do it? Do you really want to win?

Caesar allowed for a moment where nothing was said after Cendre spoke, and then the buzzer went off. "Well there you have it everyone, those are your twenty four tributes. Who will win? Who will preval in, The Hunger Games," Caesar read his final line as all of the tributes stood and left, back to their assigned quarters for the games the next morning.
