Edit: Also, can I take hide armor? It's heavier, but cheaper, and provides better armor. I don't see anywhere what effect it would have on my skills though, so I'm not sure if it's an option.
Edit 2: On page 22, it says under Number of Languages that the number listed is the number of languages a character knows in
addition to his native language. Also, it says if you're using proficiencies, you get extra proficiencies equal to the number of extra languages you get. Do either of those things apply? Right now my character has 4 languages total, 2 weapon proficiencies and 3 non-weapon proficiencies for being a rogue class, and one useless background proficiency that I rolled. Do I get to add 4 more? It says "These extra proficiency slots can be used however the player desires," so I assume I can make them either weapon or non-weapon. Alternately, I'm getting this all wrong somehow, or we're simply not using this stuff, so let me know if I don't actually get these.
