well i guess i understand why gaia has to be careful since so many people take the idea of "monkey see-monkey do" influence so seriously. neutral but personally, i think the logic behind that mindset is flawed.
hiding the tobacco in stores (as is law here now) only served to piss off the smokers a bit and make the non-smoking teens and kids curious about why it had to be hidden. I'm not saying that they'll wanna smoke more out of curiosity, but it could be a possibility in the future (Sean pointed that out to me).
at the same time, smoking has become significantly Un-Sexy. it kind of renders the campaign to dis-encourage smoking a bit useless, in my mind. O_o
anyway, i just think it's a bit overboard because the mindset of people surrounding health and smoking has changed. but hey, whatever. to each his/her own. *shrug*
