The next guild event won't be until sometime in May. There are a few reasons why. The big ones are lack of time and gold, and my computer is being to stupid to do anything right now.
I would also like to point everyone to the new thread that snow_fire made. There are several members of this guild that are long time regulars at Luck of the Gemini. This new thread is a revitalization of the old thread (with games) because the creator of the old thread (Momma_Gemini) disappeared without explanation. Snow posted a thread in this guild that provides a link to the new thread. It's located in the Aquarium forum, and I know that many of you will enjoy the rapid paced conversation there when it gets a bit slow in here. Just make sure you don't forget about this guild. blaugh

I am sorry to say this, but I will be forced to leave all of you for a couple weeks. I lost my flash drive with all of my work from this semester on it on Friday. When I went back to the library to get my flash drive, it wasn't there. It hadn't been turned in either. So, that means I've lost every single bit of work that I've done this entire semester. It's an almost impossible feat, but I'm going to try to re-do everything that I lost in a short amount of time. If I can't get it done in time, then I won't graduate. I have to cut out all distractions if I am going to have a prayer of getting it done, so I'm going to be taking a hiatus from Gaia until about May 3rd. Wait for me! I promise I'll be back! Keep this guild alive!

In my haste to make sure that all of my friends were protected for a hacking scam that was literally affecting every single user that logged on and accessed the Gaia Home Page, I sent out an announcement warning you about the scam. About 15 of 20 minutes after I sent this announcement, an announcement was posted in the bugs and tech support forum. Apparently some developers had a glitch in the code, and that problem was quickly fixed. This entire episode was a huge misunderstanding. And, as I couldn't retrieve that announcement that I sent, and as I couldn't send out another one letting everyone know that they are safe, I thought that an announcement within the guild would be a good idea. And though this episode was not a real hacking attempt, it is always good to know how to keep yourself safe. Check the URL of the page you are on before you enter your password, and make sure that you are on www.gaiaonline.com, and not any variation of it such as www.gaiaaonline.com. If you recieve a pop-up or a PM asking for your username and password, never give it way. These are just a few things you can do to keep yourself safe. I appologize if I sound overly concerned about this issue, but I have several friends that have been hacked at one time or another. Don't be one of them.
On a happier note, I will be finished with my course requirements for the semester very soon. With this new freedom, two things are going to happen. 1) We are going to make a new banner. 2) We are going to have some type of party or event. I am not going to set a date right now for when either of these things will happen, but it will be soon. 3nodding

It kind of makes me sound like an evil overload, doesn't it? wink rofl Anyway, I will be leaving on the morning of the 29th, and I will be gone for a full week. I should be back online by June 6th. If you are wondering where I am, my family and I are going on a week long vacation to Washington DC. So, don't worry about me if you can't find me. I'm just fine. biggrin Also, if I can't get everything to Dew before we leave, I will get it all to her as soon as I get back so we can go ahead with this banner. heart
