Yukiko held both of her hands up and a red flame swirled around in one hand; a blue flame in the other. "Just like this." She knew 'just like this' wasn't a very good explination, but she wanted to see how far that wold get her. More questins probably. Kai floated over to Adrian and poked his cheek.
Dakota nuzzled Rick when he hugged her. Dogs shooting flames?. . . . Maybe it wasn't impossible, but she was sure she couldn't to it.

"No we cant, though it would be interesting" cody smirked, "See were not quite human" of course he wasnt, he was a dog after all! "The children though..maybe someday" cody shrugged holding back his laughter at th elook an adrians face, what did the child truly not know? How could he not have known!? "Adrian you really didnt know about all of this did you?" it was nice to see him caught off guard.

Adrian relaxed a little, still debating on whether to run or not. "Well, it's not like I expected anyone but Alex to have powers," he said slowly, flinching slightly when Kai poked him. Strange fire thing. And Yukiko could control red and blue flames! Okay, now he wasn't sure what to think.
"After almost nine years living here, you tend to get used to it," Yuri said, laughing a little bit. She stood up once Rick crawled over next to Adrian, walking over to Alex and wrapping around his arm, leaning up and giving him a quick peck on his cheek. "Hey. You get some rest?"
Ai cheered, practically tackling Kai and hugging him tightly, giving a quick peck on his cheek. Then she cuddled his arm, almost mimicking Yuri. The only difference was that she stuck her tongue out at Rick and Adrian.
"I. . .well. . ." Alex had to look away from Yuri, her piercing gaze examining him. "No," he sighed. "But only because I couldn't." He looked over at Adrian, a question itching to be asked. "How come you only expected me to powers?"
"Father and Anna told me," Adrian replied simply, pulling Rick into a quick hug. He could almost physically feel the tension rising from Alex; right. Never mention father.

The fire turned into two leaves, then water bubbles, then swirling spheres of air. "Expect the unexpected," she said simply. "Though that's hard to do when you don't know what you don't expect." The changing elements disappeared from Yukiko's hands.
Dakota jumped from the couch and sat next to Cody.
Kai hugged Ai and pecked her cheek too.

"That. . .made no sense," Adrian said, staring in disbelief at Yukiko. So far, Yukiko's powers were the freakiest, though he was sure others had worse. Or better. Or. . .gah! Neither was a good choice in words! "You know what, never mind. I think I'll get used to it. . .eventually."
"No, you won't," Alex said, breaking away from Yuri and walking up to Adrian, lifting his sibling up by his shirt. "We need to talk, alright?" He wanted answers, and he wanted them now. Adrian could possibly have what he was looking for.
"Alright! But geez, let go of my collar!" Adrian gratefully stood on his own, fixing his shirt once Alex had let him go. Then he helped when he was suddenly dragged roughly by his arm, having no other choice than to follow his sibling deeper into the house.
"Ah. . .don't be too rough," Yuri said, sighing when the two boys vanished. "I just know this isn't going to go well." She shook her head and sat next to Rick, who was pouting because his Uncle was taken away.

Yukiko sat on the couch next to Yuri and Rick and sighed. "I'm already tired." Kai floated around in circled with Ai. Dakota watched the two go and tried to inch after them. Her tail wagged.

"Mm. . .I can't say I'm tired. I just had a little nap, after all." Yuri smiled as she cuddled Rick, poking him in his side where he was most ticklish. "But I'm sure this silly little boy will manage to tire me out," she said, laughing a little as she poked Rick again then giving him a kiss on his cheek.
"Ah, no! I'm being attacked!" Rick yelped, squirming when he was suddenly smothered, though giggling when he was tickled and kissed. "Save me, Jiro's Mommy!"
"And yet, you never learn her name," Yuri teased, letting go of Rick. Ai seemed to let go of Kai's arm and settled with holding his hand, happily flying after him.
Alex took Adrian all the way to the backyard, pushing him outside ahead of him and shutting the glass door behind him, locking it from the outside to make sure they couldn't be disturbed.
"Shoving people is no way to get them to talk," Adrian said, straightening himself up and looking at Alex, though he instantly cringed and stepped back after seeing the dark look on his sibling's face.

"Etto. . . That reminds me, I said I'd catch up with them. . . Hm. Nah. I think Laura and Nanjiro should spend time with their daddy."
Kai landed on the arm of the couch. Dakota sniffed at Kai, forgetting about following.

"How are the kids doing, anyway?" Yuri asked, holding Rick in place when he tried to go somewhere; most likely to see his father, which she couldn't allow just yet. Not while he could so easily snap.
Ai let go of Kai and looked at Dakota curiously, acting as though she'd never seen the dog before.

"Fine. Nanjiro's as hyper as ever. Laura's learning something she wants to show her daddy soon." She pat Dakota's head. Dakota looked at Ai and sniffed her too. Kai pat the top of Dakota's nose.

Cody let out a small yawn, not at all happy with alexs behavior..the way he was treating his younger brother. He wasnt sure for the reason but he was sure alex would some how botch it, the boy had no people skills...Crawling up onto the couch partly and tugging on ricks sleeve. "Wanna go see jiro little one?" his tail wagging slightly as he glanced from the boy to his mother asking permission, he knew that she wanted the kid away from the house while alex was out back dealing with things. Besides this would give the women time to catch up.

"Aw. That's so cute," Yuri said, stroking Rick's hair before looking at him and considering something. "Nanjiro is hyper, huh? What do you think would happen if we stuck him and Rick together in one place?"
"I get to see Jiro?" Rick asked, beaming happily at the idea. He wanted to see his best friend again! He really really wanted to! "Cwn into, can I go?"
"Of course you can," Yuri said with a smile, kissing the top of her son's head before letting him go. "Just make sure he isn't hurt." She didn't want the boy here. Not when Alex was upset.
Rick cheered, scrambling off the couch and standing next to Cody, moving up suddenly and giving him a squeezy hug.
"Firstly," Alex said, taking a step towards his sibling, golden eyes piercing the teen, "I want to know why and what you and that b*****d are doing here. This place has been peaceful for five years and I can guarantee you that I plan on keeping it like that, no matter what."
"I'm not sure I should answer that," Adrian said, though he cringed when something sharp cut across the left side of his face. He glared up at his older brother. "Let me say that in a different way. I can't answer that. Father and Anna won't tell me for some reason, though what I do know is that Anna is after something here. I think Father is here for revenge."

Cody let out a low happy woof, nearly staggering as he was suddenly attacked with a hug. "Goodness, i see that you really are happy to see jiro again? Hes probably going to be ecstatic to see you to" chuckling as he gave jiro a big sloppy lick. "Ill take care of him, keep him safe with my life" the dog smiled as he started moving, bringing the boy along with him. "You know im making you open the door right?" he could do it himself, but he was lazy.

"Cody's being lazy," Rick giggled, leading the way to the front door, jumping up to reach the doorknob, turning it and swinging open the door before jumping back onto the ground and walking out. Well, more like marching out happily and waiting for Cody at the bottom of the porch steps.

"Destruction?" Yukiko looked at Yuri. "Put them in one place, give thek a lolipop each, see how clean the room is in a few seconds."
Dakota jumped off the couch and stood next to Cody. She wanted to go too. She was getting bored.
