Birthday = Feb. 15Norton is a resource hog, it never goes away even when you tell it to, and it's a b***h to uninstall. In short, it acts exactly like spyware.
EDIT: Oh yeah and when it breaks, it's really hard to fix. And their tech support is useless, especially when you just need them to give you the link to install a manual update so the stupid program will stop being broken. It's bad when I know how to fix the program better than their techs do. Then again, I did work in the software department of a major computer corporation for a year and a half. In one of the Canadian call centres, where the techs actually get decent training because the trainers throw the "approved" material out the window and teach us stuff that actually matters and works. Yeah. Y'know, the one where the techs know what the hell they're doing. [/rant] ... in case anyone cares wink

My desktop in Kubuntu: I'm a huge Batman fan, so my desktop's gone through many incarnations of Bat-Pics, from the funny to the awesome to the just plain weird. Right now I haven't customized much with Kubuntu, so it's pretty default. Boring, I know, but I do love my wallpaper. >>

Oooh~ People have particularly nice desktops that they do.
@Kalsie: I dunno... The only reason I find it distracting to me is that in my eyes there are a lot of things. Blame my personal tastes, but were the look of all the widgets sort of unified I probably wouldn't mind as much. Remember, as I said, I find my process monitor distracting enough (when I work/play on the computer I can't help but move things out of the way so I can see the bar).

Birthday = Feb. 15Yeah, I always have my windows arranged in such a way that they fill the screen top to bottom but leave the sidebar showing. Here is an example, complete with taskbar for those who wondered... ... in case anyone cares wink

@Bish — Epic wallpaper!
@Kals — It's still quite busy...
@Shram — Your name is longer than the other two... Doesn't the lack of structure in your icons bother you?! gonk
@Shadow — Auto hide the taskbar, different wallpaper, even more icons, different color scheme, using FF instead of IE... but you haven't really changed all that much about the underlying style.

Shram ...actually its fully organised, but only to me lol ... I can understand that. I "re-organized" my brother's DVDs a while back and he was pretty pissed off about it. Maybe I shouldn't have reverse alphabetized it according to the second letter of that last word in the title... But, I guess you'll never have the trouble of someone like me constantly using your computer. xd
