Si-Shen Sailorcancer2004 Si-Shen Sailorcancer2004 Si-Shen true enough, each system has its own strong fighter franchise, and many share fanchises as well, such as MK, and Soul Cal. I think he could do evolutionary, not just revolutionary things, but evolutionary things if he did open up some of his work to the PS3 as well. I do admit, he really smashed the barrier when he went with the xbox for DOA. Although some of the features many male reviewers bragged about, were actually on the Dreamcast.. 3nodding Maybe he just doesn't get PS3s hardware or programing or something confused Of course, DOA2 was a HUGE LEAP from DOA. In EVERY sence from character design, to the fighting engine, to layout, etc. I mean it's not like other fighting game sequels where you get a few tweaks here and there. Since then DOA3, and 4 have pretty much been the same. With few tweaks. Well many developers did shy away from it because they have been trying to avoid development for muilti-core PCs and this consol just doesnt give you the choice, they have to learn and learn fast. So it might just be possible, but I doubt his ego would let that stand in the way of it all. Every so often in fighters, you see some major advancement and then you see nothing but the same old stuff over and over. I think we might see another jump this generation, as the consols are pushed harder. But the 360 CPU is tri cored. I haven't really seen it with like VF, Tekken, or SC. Hopefully they will soon. true but it can be used and abused as if it was a single core, like dual and quad core PC processors. The Cell in the PS3 cant be used like that. Im hoping as well, it would be nice to see another evolution in the games. I think it has something to do with the SPEs and how you have to work them together. I really don't know. It would be nice, but who knows when it'll happen. You'd think it would happen when a new console came out.

Si-Shen Sailorcancer2004 Si-Shen Sailorcancer2004 Si-Shen I nearly got FF2 on the PSP today when I finally got to pick up my copy of Assassins Creed, my EB had issues getting it on time. They started to change how they answered the phones to "EB Games, Assassins Creed is in today, how may we help you?" rofl Im still tempted, I never liked the game much but its hard to not buy it for me. I dont know, I thought you had to have the PSP activate it via a in home network. @Tokyo Pop, yes we are talking about the remote play and the ability to turn on your PS3 and such via the PSP lol, speaking of EB games... read kotaku? One of the people that wrote had a interesting convo with a GS guy: "So I am at Target last night, buying one of about fifty copies of Assassin's Creed they had there after a GameStop employee with a s**t-eating grin told me I should have preordered" I think I'll put this on my christmas list, AC. Looked interesting enough. They made it so you can activate the PS3 and stuff "anywhere" via internet. But I don't know if they changed it, before you like had to have your PS3 on, and in the remote play option and then it would send wifi to your PSP which then previewed what was on your PS3. I have done remote play in a while though. The EB near me was sold out of Collectors Editions of AC for the 360, and only had 5 Collectors Ed. on the shelf for the PS3, the rest had been pre-ordered. They sold many, but for my area is was more that there was a shere lack of numbers. I have the PS3 AC Collectors Edition, comes with a nice tin, a bonus DVD, a think manual for tips and such, a comic, and a figure of Altier. As it is, the game is really enjoyable, im learning to be more effective, and had a lovely time pushing guards off roofs and taking them out for no reason on the street with no on realizing what has happened rofl They even have NPCs that can screw up your missions and get you detected right before you act.. *shakes fist* I recall the net activation stuff, and I just never figured out why I would even need to do that rofl I heard there was some problems with AC on the PS3. White screen or something. Have you had any problem? I know not of anything compared to the 360, only that the games are identical, although 360 users claim that the PS3 colours are washed out. Like what wingedbunnie mentioned, i have only had an issue with the game freezing once on me, oddly enough the buttons were responding, the rest just froze, and Ive had the game not want to load an area, there is a little area that is a loading area you can walk in and Ive had it not load, but maybe I got immpatient or was in a rush. Over all, ive had both only happen once and its really not a hugs issue, if it happened every 10 min, yes but its rare. Also playing off what wingedbunnie said about it happening on the 360 version, id hazard a guess that its a coding issue, or a couple bugs in the game programing which, would be identical. Apperently UbiSoft considers it a PS3 only problem: http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/5251069024/m/5191065806/p/1

Interesting how it seems that people who have firmware of 2.00 seem to have a more increased amount of freezing experiances. I'm only using 1.94, so that's probably why I'm not having as much trouble. If it's only the 2.00 people who are having trouble, then that means the problem's most likely on Sony's end, and will hopefully be fixed during the next update. But, yeah, those seem like more extreme problems than what I've been hearing about and having. But otherwise, the games are completely similar and have the same problems, faults, and imperfections on both consoles. Apparently the fact that Ubisoft started work on the game only on the PS3 did not give us PS3 users anything extra. =(

Sometimes having an evolution isnt so wise with a new consol, I know a good example of it working is FF VII, for an RPG it set new standards and was a definate improvement, however sometimes I think they need more time to learn the new hardware to come out with the next be changes. I think we should see soemthing in the next year or so myself.

(a bit random but cheers that his TVs S video port actually works!! my regular cable ports for video on the back of my TV dont work, and I got an Svideo cable and i was afraid that it would have the same issue but it works)

That and errors happen, code is not simple, and I cant blame them for having a couple errors, I believe Msoft did something similar right around the time the red rings started to appear. Infact many blamed the patch for the ring, although they did have a patch at the time that killed a few 360's and had to be repatched with a fix.

In the end, the next patch or so should fix the issue, as no one at Sony wants this to become something that turns people off the system.

Well, it's not like I'm friends with anyone here, so I feel a certain amount of politeness is required... sweatdrop Sorry if you find it insulting... I doubt I've seen any, either. Programming is not the easiest thing in the world to do. Most glitches, though, are hard to find and are relatively harmless to the games. It's when they start deleting save files, rewritting parts of the disc, or worse that people start freaking out and for good reason. Otherwise, if there's a wall that you attack with a certain action and get a certain amount of damage on it, and you fall through to the other side, saving you two minutes of walking distance... who cares?

I did not find it insulting, I just found it odd, ive never been refered to as Mr Si-Shen on here, thats all. There are some glitchs that can be a problem, like ones that will ALWAYS freeze your game at a set point if you jump into its area, etc. Ive played a game that shipped broken, the day of its release the developer had to have a quick fix out, then had to put out an official fix within a week.

I have no voice.
I'm a 13 year old man who wears dark clothes and sits in my own flith.
Sadden by my life I have no will of my own to life. I sit here in the coldness that is my room and I hate anything good.
Because I can't afford anything, I get my mom to buy me a Wii. Which has a great selections of games!
I sit here, with my Wii, only to watch it... over heat.
