It was... Slightly funny.
Who wants a lowly Gennin in their village? I was thinking Mist, or maybe... Grass. But there's no one in Grass except the Kusakage, which means I could be a Jonin. But it defeats the purpose of a Gennin. Mist it is!

Wait, I'm a Jōnin in the Kusagakure so you can be a genin there. Plus, all the people in Kirigakure are on a mission so it wouldn't be too fun being there.

I beg thy pardon but I had made no attempt in this world nor the next to speak in the Queen's good English.
But I, being of sound mind and body, so speaketh with the tone of a Victorian.
In which case if thou does propose I have butchered such a speech in that manner, I will in fact apologize for my mishaps.

Hm. One-on-one training vs. A large, [hopefully] active village...
This is a toughy. I go like the prospect of giving the enemy grass stains on their clothes, forever ruining their image of the world and replacing it with one where people do HORRIBLE THINGS for NO REASON.
But the Mist village has the Seven Swordsman of the Mist, which is cool. I can be all... Swordy. And damp. That, and some of the coolest jutsu is water-based, and great for killing them durn Uchiha/Sharingan dudes.
A toughy.
