Eri's mind snapped into place as the stench filled her nose and the violence ensued. She had begun clutching Ada's hand, and when she noticed she kept her hands to herself. "Nikita... it's becoming hard to bear... But please don't kill me until I turn completely..." She whispered in his ear. "I don't want to die yet...." She ran when Mizuki indicated to move forward. 'I'll try to like him...' She sighed as she ran up, and being nearly the first to get there, she ran head-long into Mizuki. Her primal instincts made her pull beck quickly. She didn't glare or frown, she looked more terrified then anything. The things he could do with that gun were endless, and she didn't wanna be it's next target.

"Ha ha! Maybe if we're lucky... But, sometimes… Those things seem smart. Zombies aren't supposed to be smart. It sucks!" Nina said crossing her arms in a protective motion subconsciously. In actuality, some of the infected may have kept walking into the inferno, but others using what bit of there brain they had left, would avoid the flames. An issue with the infected is that they did have limited brain capacity, enough to avoid things that caused them danger. However, some of them became so dependent on the pheromone system that they had that they didn't use their common sense. It was as normal as their vision getting worse and their hearing getting better. The flames and smoke were blocking out the smell of the produced odors of the ones in danger, the ones that were dying, thus they just kept going straight into the fire. The ones to worry about were the ones who were not enticed by the dependency on the produced odors. They were the ones Terry and Thomas were fighting off at this very moment.

"Hell no!" Nina barked in automatic response to crimson without even thinking. Nina loved her hair almost as much as Kalila. It meant more to her than superficial things. She had kept her hair long ever since she and Kalila had befriended each other, Jain was added to the group and she did the same thing. Kalila, Jain's and Nina's hair were long, all of them. She calmed a little and looked at Crimson as she explained herself. "No, I like my hair." she was scared crapless of the infected, but she was willing to stand for the oddest things because she had a stubborn streak. "I'm just going to put my hair in a bun and forget about it. It'll be up and out of the way." Nina stated, crossing her arms. "You can cut yours... and I'll even do it for you... But I'm not cutting mine." She looked at Garath with a smile. "Your hair doesn't need cutting. Your hair is long... But it is of no consequence. It's not long to a point where it would matter." She looked back to Crimson. "But... If we are going to do anything... We should where thick stick... Like Leather," She said tugging on her dark scarlet jacket and pointing to her gifted goth combat boots. "and denim." She said slapping her thigh, indicating her jeans. "Zombies can't bite through that stuff as easily and it could block off body fluid better than other materials... Leather's especially good at that." She stated standing up and peaking out the window again. She was looking at Terry and Thomas's size, ignoring the roaring infected. "I've got like three to five leather things and a ton of jeans. My dad has a few leather jackets and a lot of jeans as well. We should have enough to go around." She said out loud, but more to her self. She walked to her desk, opened a drawer, and brought out scissors. "You still up for it, Crimson?" Nina asked, holding the scissors up and clipping the air with them twice.
Nina looked to Jain. She was sitting up in her bed with her legs drawn to herself. She still looked clammy, but better than before. Jain stared back at her. Nina smiled and tossed her a hair band. Jain let it land in her lap and slowly lifted it up and put her hair in a very messy bun. Her hands were still shaking.
"I'll be d*mned i I let you cut off your beautiful red hair." Nina said put her hair in a bun as well. It was a lot more neat than Jain's, but still on the messy side. "I can give you a hair band too, if you want Garath. You wouldn't need to put it in a bun, it's to short, and just a ponytail would do fine. OR would you rather just leave it down?" Nina asked Garath, handing him the matchbox from the windowsill. "Just toss the flame out there and watch the motherf*ckers burn." She said with a smile. She had quoted the same song earlier. But, she just couldn't help it. It just worked out so well and she found it funny.

The cousins had quickly looked back when they heard Alex wretch. It made Ada thankful she was able to hold her ground.
Nikita expressed his pain with a quick suction of air as her felt the nails dig into his skin. He looked down, moving his hand from his face, but still breathing with his mouth, to move his long hair from his face. He was also made aware of the young girl's sweat touching him. He wondered if she was scared or feeling something a little less innocent.
He calmed a little as she spoke, his mouth even quirked a little at her joke. The hunger scared him, but he knew she was still human enough to crack a joke. That was relieving. However, he forgot that when her hands squeezed a little more and blood was drawn from him. He frowned and later felt better when she let go of him. He looked away from her. She was distracting him with the injury, he had to continue to be aware. Kalila threw a box of Chewy's back towards Eri, he caught them and held the box out to Eri without looking at her.
Ada looked down as Eri switched to her hand from Nikita's. She wasn't feeling as great as before. She had gagged, she had almost throw-up. Luckily, she hadn't but it still felt like it had weakened her a little. She was shaking just a bit. However, she was a strong woman, so she did not let it phase her. Ada brought the pistol in her free hand up towards Eri subconsciously as she saw the girl lick the blood from her hands. Her other pistol was in the pocket of her pants. Eri was still a little girl, holding her hand even, but she was becoming something so sinister and it brought Ada grief. Ada re-gripped her gun, trying to make her subconscious slip-up look like she was just getting situated with the weapon. As Eri spoke again Ada had to fight hard from shaking her head in pity, instead she gave the girl her water bottle.
A few moments later Ada was aware of a smell that had started to mix with the blood. It had flowed into the area with a gust. Their visual was also very slightly made a bit hazy. It was smoke.

Kalila had gagged once due to the smell even while breathing with her mouth. The smell was just so thick one could taste it. Nicholas took one of his hands off his gun, which took a lot of mental argument with himself, and patted his sister on the back.
"Shah, shah, shah..." He repeated until she stopped. However, after the once she had brought herself under control. She knew she needed to keep the food in her stomach because getting food would be an issue, unless they did get lucky at Wal-Mart. Kalila had looked back as she heard Alex empty himself via mouth. Nicholas winced and shook his head in pity. Kalila mouthed, "You'll be ok. I promise." to him. It saddened her to See Alex in such a state. She missed his perverted comments at school, his almost spoiled nature, and his love of food. He would as ways say he got his perverseness from his dad. It was sad under the circumstances that she had to meet her friend’s father. It's amazing how much someone can change when times call for it. she thought.
As she waited for a response from Mizuki, She heard Eri speak. Kalila hesitantly looked back. She nodded her head quickly. I have to make sure she's not hungry... If she's infected, I'm not going to have her hurt anyone. she thought as she quickly sheathed her katana, brought her backpack in front of her, and took out the packet of chewy's she had picked up. She made sure the girl was ready before she tossed them back, but instead of her catching them Nikita did. Kalila flinched, that guy made her nervous and she didn't know why. She saw him hold out the box to the young girl. As she switched her eyes to Eri and flinched again. Eri was licking the blood from her hand WHAT THE F*CK!? She's infected! OH GOD! Kalila's mind screamed. Kalila quickly looked back to the front and gave her brother a distressed look.
"What's wrong...?" He asked quietly, holding his battle rifle steadily. He had notice her flinch a couple times, but took it as over reactions to things that caught her off guard.
"The girl! The f*cking girl!" Kalila whispered quickly taking out her katana and gripping it tightly.
"What about her...?" Nicholas asked suspecting something. She's weird... I know. But, just how weird?
"She's infected... She has to be." Kalila whispered, her eyes were wide with fear. She's a young girl... She's protected by two people. It's just such an unfair situation! She thought with a gulp of nothing. Wait... Is that why Nikita got flu medicine? Then... They know?! I'm assuming... I assuming... I should calm down. her mind raced.
"What?!" Nicholas said a little louder than everyone's ears were use to. It was still quiet, but still caught everyone of guard.
"Shut up!" Kalila whispered urgently, covering his mouth with one hand, the other still holding her katana. It sounded mean and it was very un-Kalila, but it was for his benefit. Ha! Noise... IF she's infected that should have quiet an effect on her. There're consequences of having better hearing, my friend. she thought as she let go of Nicholas. "Just... Just be on your guard around her, ‘kay?" Nicholas nodded slowly.

Kalila looked back to the front as if she had never spoken to Nicholas during the time. She brought up her facial mask to wipe at her lips, for breathing with her mouth was having a toll. She forgot to continue to breathe with her mouth and took a breath with a nose. Realizing her mistake Kalila was surprised she hadn't gagged this time. The smell was different. Indeed the blood smell was still there, however it was meshed with something else. A burning smell, smoke. Now that she paid attention, their whole area did have a blanket of thin smoke. She didn't know it, but she and Ada had noticed it around the same time. It took Kalila a while to realize why this would be of any importance. Finally, she made the connection.
"Nina." She blurted out. "There's smoke. Nina's burning infected close by. The wind must have carried the smoke... Do you see it? Or smell it?" She asked looking at her brother. He paused for a few seconds to look around and smell through his mask. He nodded his head. But, as they walked forward, they realized the smell of blood and rotting meat got stronger. So did the smell of smoke, but it could not mask the putrid odor. It was just too close.
A few moments later, Mizuki slowed and silently asked them all to slow. Fear gripped the siblings at the thought of what possibly could have lied ahead, there pulses quickened. They followed Mizuki until he ran along the edge of a building. The siblings kept the slow pace he had assigned them. The edge of the building was creating a huge shadow due to it's position from the sunlight, Nicholas found himself highly thankful of it. They waited for Mizuki to bring his head back, getting antsy from him taking, wait they thought, a long time. Nicholas's gamer mind kept imagining his head exploding seemingly randomly from a sniper bullet. It was just one of those positions.
From this position, noises of hitting could be heard. It sounded very video game-like. There were also a couple of loud roars and sad sounding moans and groans. They were definitely fighting. However, there was another noise, Kalila quickly came to notice. It was dull and steady. Wait... I've heard this before... she came to realizing, but her brother best her to it.
"Flies." He stated matter-of-factly. The expressions that always played freely across Kalila's face gave it away to him that she heard it too. "Whatever's around there. Flies are having a good old time." He said, remembering the dull noise from their earlier adventure in the alleyway. Kalila nodded. She looked around their surrounding area. They were actually really close to her apartment area, Nina's was even closer, and the Wal-Mart even closer than that, she came to realize.

Mizuki finally looked back to the rest of them. The first thing he said confirmed Kalila's sense of direction. She nodded in response. Nicholas paid attention to every word, as he never did before in his life. What was around the corner was creating a crazy sense of suspense in him, though it was negative. Dreaded suspense, if you will. Ok... We have a huge road of... of something really bad. Whatever the hell it is... We cross it. Then we have a huge parking lot. Then there is the store. We can survive that, right? he thought biting his lower lip. It was a main road, so it was very wide. Just to f*ck with us. Nicholas thought of the situation. Mizuki spoke slowly and in, what Kalila would call, a caveman manner. Just getting the news out without much care for grammar. His breathing, from what the siblings could hear was irregular. Nicholas thought that was just how scary what he saw was. It threw him into a panic, but he calmed himself by latching on to one thought: It'll be fine... It'll be fine...
Noticing all of this, Kalila asked him her question, not able to hold her curiosity of what was ahead. She was scared, and she thought surprises would only scare her more. Mizuki may have had multiple things covering his face, but from what she could see, he gave her a look of pity while he answered. He finally sounded a bit like his normal self. He put his hand on her shoulder. This first thing she noticed was his shaking. It wasn't normal shaking, steady and constant, it was as irregular as his breathing. Kalila expression did the small shifting it took from going from scared to worry. At the same time, her mind shifted to "expect the worse." It was tittering there earlier. "Are you alright?" Kalila whispered, looking up to him, very airily to him so no one else except Mizuki and Nicholas could hear.
As Mizuki ordered them to go together, Nicholas nodded in full-hearted agreement. He didn't even think about Kalila and him having to separate for this. Realizing that that could have been a possibility, he was highly thankful to Mizuki at the moment. Then suddenly he dashed. Kalila took a deep suction of air had held it until Mizuki was across. The siblings had not been in the young man's position, so when they heard the shout it had not occurred to them that he had been caught. It sounded like background noise to them. Kalila let go of her breath in a slow relieved sigh.

When Eri let go of her hand, Ada immediately brought her other pistol into her it so she could dual wield. Nikita had been surprised when Eri had signaled him to bend a little so she could talk in his ear. He bent and spoke to him. Nikita close his eyes to calm himself and told her to hold on a little longer. He told her that they might be able to find help somehow. He told her she could have another flu pill if she wanted and it might help her hold up a bit longer. But, after a pause, he did promise her only after she turned, he would kill her. Still holding the chewy box, Nikita's hands crumbled the box a bit, as he gripped tightly.
Ada almost screeched when the Asian girl ran ahead with her or Nikita. However, she had quickly brought the handle of one of her pistols to her mouth to stop herself. Her and Nikita both gasped as they saw what Kalila almost did. However, Eri had made it safely across, luckily. Ada was surprised by Kalila's reflexes and her brothers as well. But, they almost worked against her short-term benefit. Ada couldn't help but think it was in her long-term benefit to have the girl die if they didn't find some way to suppress the virus.

The siblings were ready to run across, Nicholas rifle held in proper position against his chest and Kalila holding her Katana down and to the right for quick running. They felt they had to match Mizuki's odd quickness to survive as he had. But, Eri ran ahead of them. Kalila, again, almost sliced the young girl in half as she ran ahead of her and her brother again. Nicholas had hesitated a little this time, now knowing she was infected, but did stop his sister by grabbing her arms again. Due to the hesitation, Kalila had gotten a rip into the bottom portion of the pants' leg of Eri's jeans. Kalila in this situation would have normally felt tones of remorse for what could have occurred, but this time, due to the circumstances, she only felt half the remorse she normally would.
Nicholas frowned at the girl ahead of them through his goggles, though he was sure she couldn't see. Especially if she's infected... Her visions going to get worse. he thought harshly and happily. The siblings readied themselves again. Nicholas looked to his sister and nodded mouthing "On three." then saying verbally, whispering "One."
"Two" Kalila whispered back.
"Three!" Nicholas whispered urgently. The siblings made a mad scramble for the other side. It felt that to them the street was a mile long. As Mizuki had heard the grunt earlier as a warning sign of him being caught. The siblings as well felt everything they were hearing was a sign of them being caught. However, they didn't luck out like their older friend.

A straggler, who had just won a battle and finished the demented watching of the suffering of his enemy had seen the run across. He had screeched, but the other infected had not read into it, after all many were yelling during this battle. Plus, his want of the kills for himself made him not give off any warning signs for his brethren. Instead he had just ran towards the siblings without much thought, as were their nature. All this withing the few seconds of the siblings running. The infected was rather solid for a rotting creature. The only thing giving him away as infected was the color of his skin, his missing left eyelid, showing a shriveled eye, and his missing right cheek, which exposed his rotting, blood covered teeth.
"We were spotted." Kalila whispered near tears as she rammed her shoulder to the wall and held her katana over her head.
"No... No we weren't." Nicholas attempted to convince her. He refused to fail at the task, he was scared.
As soon as he was done speaking, the head of the infected appeared around the corner for he was hunched over in a primal manner. Before she even saw him all the way, Kalila brought her katana down as hard as she could. It cut clean through and the head rolled. He r katana was brought back up almost as fast as it was brought down. Nicholas, by reflex, by instinct shot at the head. It was a perfect head shot. After he had done so, his face was covered in surprise and fear. He didn't even remember doing it. The silencer worked perfectly, only the quiet, airy noise heard. After a pause of a few seconds Nicholas let his rifle fall to his waist and hugged his sibling and Mizuki and one big hug. It was his response to all of this.
"What...? I'm sorry! I-Kali- And... Thank you!" Nicholas said, unable to talk clearly. He hugged his sister tighter with the arm he had around her. Nicholas moved to Mizuki's side as he saw his sister was patting him quickly in an impatient manner. Kalila was crying now. Her tears spilled and they gather at the bottom of her goggles. She shifted her body so her leg was the only thing that could be seen around the corner and she kicked the headless corpse out of the way so no one would trip on it on their way across. The head was still in the way. However, no matter how much Kalila worried about the others tripping on it she could not bring herself to be put in such a fearful position again just to move the head. She looked at the group still across the way. She pointed to the head, to make sure everyone saw it so they could avoid it. The she waved them over.
Now Kalila relaxed a little. She lifted her goggled to wipe away the small amount of tears that had accumulated as she forced herself to stop crying. It was blurring up her vision and that was causing her panic. She put them back on and hugged her brother, kissing him on the cheek over and over again. That was so close! her mind was just amazed by that sheer fact. We lucked out so much! Her katana was still being held, the sword was behind Nicholas's back.
Nicholas accepted the hugs and kisses openly. He needed them to calm down. I'd never survive without her. he thought in more of a son loves his mother way than a brother loves his sister way. His sister let him go and she watched the people across cross with great anxiousness. To calm herself Kalila re-did her ponytail, holding her katana under her arm whilst. Due to the mishap with her face covers earlier, there was a larger knot amongst all her tangled, curly hair. She just ignored it as she put it up. Nicholas's guard was higher as his sister was not ready.

Nikita and Ada were next in line. They had seen the scene unfold in front of them. They had seen Kalila freak out for one reason or another. They had seen the oddity that ensued afterwards. The cousins had flinched and brought up their weapons when they saw the lone infected. However, before they could react the siblings did. The hesitated to continue fearing more to come, but none other did. Kalila cleared the corpse from their way and messaged them silently. Nikita indicated with a sweeping motion for Ada to go first. Ada frowned but agreed. Ada ran in one quick start, both hands holding pistols, and pumping to quicken her. She made it across with no hitch, avoiding the disembodied head.
As soon as Ada made it and turned around to look at him, Nikita ran with his costumed pistol at his waist. He jumped over the head with an almost silent landing and rammed into Ada who steadied him by pushing him off of her. Nikita looked over his shoulder at the people left and put up his hands in the rock-on symbol, indicating it was okay for them to come over.
Ada dragged Nikita by the arm to Eri. Ada bent to the girl’s height and whispered in a very quiet tone. She asked what was wrong with her, why she would do, again, exactly what she told her not to do, a few moments after she told her not to do it. She told her this time, added on to her ranting about Mizuki, that she did not want her running ahead of her and Nikita unless it was for safety purposes or absolutely necessary.

[[This post was fun to make, funner then all the rest.]]

Alex and David listened as mizuki explained everything, making no gramatic sence what so ever. David rubbed his temples as he felt a mild headache coming on. They watched as everyone went across the huge road, David grabbed his son to keep him from lunging out when the infected started running towards kalila and nicholas.
Alex looked up at his dad, trying to figure out what they were going to do, were they going to go together or seperately. David looked down at his son, put his hand on top of his son's head, messing with his hair to calm him down. David grabbed him by the shoulders, turned him around, and pushed him out into the street. Without missing a beat Alex took off running. It had to be the longest distance he had run during this crisis, or at least it felt that way due to the openess. The closer he got to the end however, the further it seemed to get. When he finally got there, however, he tried to avoid the head, failing miserably. He tripped over the head, landing face first into the ground.
He has the coordination of his father David thought with a chuckle, but began to worry as his son struggled to get up.
The ground had hit his mask, knocking it back into his face, causing his nose to bleed violently. Nothing was broken however. Alex didn't want to take off the mask, worried the smell of blood may attract the infected. He dismissed this, sure the other aroma's would cover it. He lifted his mask and goggles on to the top of his head, the way someone would their sun-glasses. The blood was coming out of his nose rapidly, it was going down his face, and starting down his neck. Some of the blood started dripping off his chin. Alex quickly held his nose shut, and spit some of the blood from his mouth onto the ground.
"Owww!" Alex said, with a nasaly sound from holding his nose. He was sure he looked a gory mess, but he wasn't worried, he looked back at his dad.
David pulled out his extended dagger, putting his uzies on his belt for easy access. David did so because, he didn't want to waste ammo, he would if neccesary however. He held out his dagger, and took off running down the road, making sure he was as quiet as possible. When he was about one fourth of the way there he nearly tripped, catching himself at the last possible moment. When he was halfway there he finally clearly could tell what had happened to his son through the goggles. This made him worry more, and he tried to run a little faster. When he was three fourths of the way their, the worst thing that probably could've happened did. David's cell phone started to ring.
SH** He thought, forgetting he had it on him this whole time. What a time to forget to put it on vibrate... or turn it off! David yelled at himself, reaching into his pocket and turning it off before it attracted to many of their attentions... It must have been the bugs or something, because only the three closest ones had heard.
Alex pulled his sniper off of his pack and aimed it at the infected, ready to help his dad if need be. Even if it was a bit close range for a sniper, he didn't want to use his smith & wesson. Being a revolver and all, it couldn't use a silencer.
David saw them rushing towards him, like three kids rushing towards a just broken pinata. When one of them was close, david slit his dagger through its throat, then stabbed it in the eye, piercing its brain.
Before the second one could get to him, David rushed towards it with his big, football player like body, punching it in the face. This caused it's skull to crush inwards, squishing its brain.
David heard the third one behind him, turning around just in time to see it almost claw the fu** out of his jugular. Just before it did however, its head exploded. David was dumbfounded, because it didn't sound like a bullet had been fired. Then he looked over at his son, who sighed and put away his sniper. Luckily none of the other infected had heard or seen the confrontation, they were too caught up in their own battles to the death.
Before David got the rest of the way towards the group, Alex let go of his nose, to see if the bleeding had slown. It hadn't. All the blood came rushing out of his nose like some waterfall died red. He quickly re-grabbed his nose.
When David finally did get there, he grabbed his son by the shoulders, and looked at him. David's face looked serious, then he said, "You should be fine, the bleeding should stop in a couple of minutes."
Then his big smile came back, "Hey look at it this way, it makes you look tough, chicks dig that." David said laughing.
Alex however was in no mood for jokes. He kicked his dad in the shin.
"Ow!" David said, more playfully then seriously. Then David realized he should probably turn off his cell phone. David took it out of his pocket, and right before he was about to turn it off, he noticed it said, "One missed call from: Wife." David got a suprised look on his face, then, instead of turning it off, he turned off the ring, and put it in his pocket.
I'll have to check that later. He thought, making a mental note of it.

Eri's collision seemed to come at the worse possible time. Just as Kailia and Nicholas were making their way across, Mizuki dimly felt a smalland light collision with his lower body. His immediate reaction was to let out a short and strangled growl and lash out with his fist.
He had previously been keeping his full attention on the group of Crazies, his gun hefted ready to take out any that would choose to persue his friends. Hell - he'd even fire out if David got in trouble.
However this sudden knock had jolted him momentarily out of control. His attention slipped and for the briefest of seconds he reverted back into the mind of one of the infected. His pupils disappeared and his hand whipped out at ferocious speed, grabbing ahold tightly of Eri's shoulder.
At this very moment - the straggler chose to take chase of Nicholas and Kalila.
Mizuki took a moment to recognise the girl through the fog of his mind. And when he did he swore loudly. His pupils returned to small pricks and he became somewhat semi concious of his actions.
"Watch yourself. This isn't some ********. . .game." He struggled to fight the last word out, his concentration slipping further and further as his control laxened.
He gave Eri a little push towards the side. Not a harsh push that would be enough to knock her flat, but a small nudge in the direction out of sight.
It was then that his attention was drawn, not by the gun shot of the sound of a head exploding. But by the quickened heart beats and the panicked flow of blood. He turned his head to see Kalila and Nicholas running towards him, a corpse in their midst and Nicholas weilding his gun. He knew immediately what had happened and was instantly pummelled by guilt. He should have been there for them.
And yet, as quickly as the guilt came, it was replaced. And it was replaced with anger - towards Eri. If the stupid little girl hadn't distracted him - he would have been there for his friends. . .
He watched her cower and a look of dark and twisted glee crossed his face, almost like a convulsion.
"Don't . . . tempt. . . me." He grunted, a dark sort of laughter dancing on his words.
Just as he was physically fighting off the growing urge to simply grab her head and give it a vicious, sharp twist - he was barrelled into a second time.

Before he could growl or snap this time, he was hit by the familiar scents of Kalila and Nicholas. He stood there, dumb with shock for a moment, suprised that Nicholas was actually hugging him.
He reached up with a numb and distant feeling arm and patted him on the back to soothe him. This close, they would both feel his shakes had gotten worse.
He heard Kailia's ragged breathes as she sobbed and that enough was strong enough to chase away the feelings of Change in him. Even as she hugged and kissed Nicholas, Mizuki pulled them both into a tight hug.
"I'm sorry. I should have been watched. . .the girl . . .distracted me." There was genuine guilt in his voice. He let go of Nicholas first, taking a little longer to console Kalila who was evidentally hit harder by the event that her brother. He stroked her hair for a moment.
"Calm down. I hate to say it but theres more to c- " He stopped abruptly.
With Kalila is such close proximity he suddenly became aware of the beating of her frantic heart, slamming against her ribs. He could feel the beats against his own body. He shook badly this time. A swift shudder.
His mouth went dry and his stomach lurched. In the back of his mind something flexed painfully, like something tearing, and all Mizuki wanted to do was latch his teeth onto her pretty little neck and start ripping.
He pushed her away from him, holding her at arms length suddenly, so suddenly that it wasn't so much a push - as physically lifting her up and placing her back from him.
His shakes were worse now. It was visible.
"Get running." He said, his voice somehow deeper. "Not safe to loiter. They could. . .catch on at any min. . .ute." He forced a smile. Luckily this was hidden by his mask, because it became something more like an ugly grimace. "I cover you."
With that he seemed to loose interest in both siblings. He turned his attention back to the gap in time to see David attack one of the Crazies. He shot a swift look over his shoulder.
"Go! Meet you there!" And then hefted the gun and took aim at one of the Crazies that had staggered back from the rest of the group. Wounded, it was probably being cast aside by the rest who no longer saw it as a threat. But it was now in full sight of the group - and it need only turn its head and signal to bring all hell down on the lot of them. He squeezed off a shot and flinched at the click the silencer produced. It wasn't the almight roar of the usual recall - but it seemed unhealthily loud in the tense situation. The soft nosed round hit the Crazie in the temple and completely obliterated the entire top half of the brain. Gore splattered the street to add to the sea of mucus, entrails and blood and the body remained standing for a few moments. It spasmed in a grotesque parody of an excited jig before crumpling as the knees gave way.
Even as Mizuki began to take aim at the others at the back of the group, he found his knowledge of how to use to gun ebbing away. More sophisticated thought processes were fading, being replaced by the mindless hum of Rage and Hunger.
Blood touched his nostrils and looking down he spotted Alex's bloody features. He hesitated where he stood. His features hidden behind goggles and masks, he watched the boy closely, hungry eyes taking in the glorious crimson spray now painting the lower half of his face. He twitched where he stood. His tongue ran absently over his lips in a universal sign of hunger, hidden beneath his mask. He reached over with a shaking hand to Alex, as if to offer the boy a hand up - though his true reasons were far darker. David arrived in the nick of time to aid his son. Mizuki felt such a strong wave of hatred towards the man for stealing away his potential meal ticket that he nearly struck out with the but of his gun. His outstretched hand snapped back and melded itself to the gun barrell as Mizuki managed to drag himself partially back into check.
He looked at David and growled, his voice actually rumbling, a sense of dark urgency behind his words; "Move!"

Eri was frightened. She was so scared it wasn't funny. She pulled her forehead imbetween her knees and sighed in a semi-melodramatic fashion. She didn't WANT to be bitten... She didn't wish deep in her heart for everyone in her group to hate her. It just HAPPENED! She was embarrassed with herself. 'Damn it....' She thought, looking at Mizuki. He would do it without hesitation...! She smiled and softly whispered to Mizuki, "Please kill me..."

[[No, I don't want to die, just my chara is depressed. play with that as you please, this is a post before you finish the rest of your post Metzili ^ ^.]]

Eri nodded to her elder and sighed. "Sorry...." She said, whispering in Ada's ear. "He's severely infected, so my instincts are going Crazy..." The word 'crazy' was said with disgust. He was helping Alex and David, so she knew he wouldn't hear most of the conversation. A playful, almost sadistic smile came across her face. "He won't remain human for much longer...." She stood, Recomposing herself. "He said to go, so we should. It was loud enough so She could hear him, but Ada and Nikita could not. She grabbed Ada's hand and smiled like a child that wanted to play. "Let's go Ada-chan... I don't want anything bad to happen to the people I care about." She pulled lightly, but the grip was that of a weight-lifter, strong and slightly painful. She loosened it a bit and began pulling Ada along. "I can smell more infected nearby..." She said to herself. 'If we don't move, they're gonna see something they shouldn't....' She thought, pulling harder. "We should hurry."

((Thank you Ahiru ^-^... Oh... and let's see what happens, shall we?))

Before, Nicholas had felt Mizuki shaking, but didn't pay it much heed. He figured that it wasn't Mizuki that was shaking, but he in fear. When he had hugged Mizuki it wasn't a thought out process, it was an "I'm scared and I can't believe I'm still alive" celebration. He didn't even have to swallow any pride, because he didn't even fully realize what he was doing. Kalila, on the other hand, had known before that Mizuki was shaking and realized he did start shaking more. She just figured it was adrenaline, fear, or anger. He and Eri weren't on good terms. However, she didn't have long to think about such things because the task of moving the body and clearing her vision was still on her mind.

As Kalila expressed her gratitude to fate for still being alive with her motherly affection being sprinkled on to Nicholas, both siblings were caught off guard as they were enveloped into a hug within a hug. Nicholas quickly realized that this was, what he thought, the emotion he had cause Mizuki by doing such a spontaneous thing. The piece of information didn't hold any value to him, but he just realized it was the same type of situation. Kalila loved the hug. She needed it. She needed the hug of someone older than her and, just in general, wiser than her. In addition, she did like Mizuki. That information hadn't crossed her mind, because she was just so freaked out about the here and now, but later, when she looked back on the situation, she would treasure the memory. However, at the moment Kalila was feeling a deep frustration. Why?! Why is it, that I feel prepared... I feel I cannot be scared and brave. But when it comes down to it, I lose my calm... I get scared. were the thought running through her head. I am brave... I know it. she tried to re-establish one of the few things she use to be cocky about. It was true. Amongst her friends, she had always been the brave one when it came to risking life and death or supernatural things. There were just two things she was scared to death of, and it was bugs and dealing with relationship/crush issues that were her own. She had figured she would be able to deal with crap like this. I can't keep falling apart in every situation we deal with these virus-infested freaks! she declared to herself.
The siblings listened to Mizuki's excuse and both of them immediately protested. Nicholas shook his head violently while Kalila cooed, "No, it's ok... We're all safe. We didn't get caught." in a teary voice. Then Nicholas shook his head in agreement. As he was let go of by Mizuki, Nicholas pried himself from his sister's arms. But' he didn't have to work to hard because she let go of him, She didn't want him getting accidentally hurt on her blade. Kalila, while in the process of letting go of Nicholas, shot a quick look back at the group and curled back into Mizuki's hug as he hugged her alone. Nicholas looked over his older sister and young man for a few moments. Mizuki was stroking Kalila's hair and she was balled into his chest. From his position, it looked like she was trying hard not to start crying again.
Kalila felt, what she thought was, a chill run through Mizuki and a few moments later, she was held away at arms length. Kalila had misinterpreted it. She saw it as an almost parental thing, like when a father hugs his son, proud of his accomplishment, and then holds him at arms length to get a good look at him and finally lets him go. Kalila probably had assumed because she was really missing having a completely dominant figure in her life telling her exactly what to do at times. She was glad that Mizuki was doing that, she was glad to have the dominance, thus she molded such things to her thought process. Kalila watched Mizuki shake, now becoming a little worried. This kind of thing should have calmed him down, but he was getting worse. She listened and as soon a he finished she spoke to him.
"What's wrong... You're shaking..." She didn't go on to explain how she was sure it was something other than fear. She thought she would hear his reasoning before inserting her opinion. That is when she chose to redo her ponytail ((As some times... My timing gets mixed up with posts...)).

As Kalila has been placed away from Mizuki, it brought Nicholas back into awareness of his total surrounding. He realized just how much of an open-to-attack position they were in. Move!? MOVE!? Oh God... Nicholas was starting to panic again. He looked at his sister again to see her preparing herself to run all the way, she was redoing her ponytail so her hair didn't get in the way. Nicholas gulped and his guard shot up to make sure nothing happened to them. He clenched his jaw tightly as he heard the ringing of a phone. His eyes darted to the empty space he and his sister had ran a few moments earlier to see David's hand reach into his pocket. Then he noticed Alex on the ground, his face covered in blood. A few moments later, an infected attacked David. There were another two in the vicinity Nicholas almost shot, but stopped his finger from twitching on the trigger at the last moment. If I shoot out of this area it'll bring attention to the other two that we are here. Even with silencers, those things have to be smart enough to realize where shots are coming from after seeing one of themselves being destroyed. I mean a sniper might confuse their insignificant brains... But, mine fires in rounds and can't kill immediately. He thought logically. He looked to his sister who looked like she was preparing herself to run and retrieve Alex. F*ck, she'd do it to. he thought as his had shot out to grab her. She turned around and looked at him with a desperate look.
"He's my friend, Nicho! Let me go!" She whispered urgently. Nicholas quickly shook his head 'no.'
"Mizuki say we have to go. Now." He said dragging his sister in the opposite direction. She looked back, biting her lip. She saw David and Mizuki advancing on Alex's position. She would have to trust them.

Kalila switched from being dragged by her brother to dragging her brother. They got to the very edge of the buildings, where the surrounding building stopped looming over everything. Kalila put her head out and looked in the directions. From this location they were a good two buildings away from the rest of the group. The smell of blood was only as strong as when they first started to smell it. It seemed the apartment buildings blocked of the stench. A sidewalk laid in front of them, past that a two-lane road, and finally the huge parking lot of Walmart. The road was eerily empty for having such a blood bath going on only a few feet back. There was only random blood splotches on random parts of the road. Trash blew across the almost empty parking lot in the same way tumbleweed makes its way across arid land. There were two cars in the parking lot. Nicholas poked his head out along with his sister and as one sibling looked in one direction the other one would look in the opposite.
"I think we're good to run." Kalila said looking up to her brother.
"I would have to agree with you... Let's go?"
"Let's." Kalila replied as held her katana out in front of her. Nicholas heads his gun the same way as he always did and should be doing. He had never let go of it sense they made there way to the location. The siblings ran across the road and made there way on to the parking lot. Nicholas was a good few feet ahead of his sister, actually leading towards the store. There were still lights on in the Walmart and it would have looked absolutely normal if it weren’t for the major lack of cars. The shopping centers that looped around the right half of the parking lot were dark though. There was little fashion boutiques, an arts and crafts store, and a couple fast-food places. As they were about mid-parking lot, a gurgling roar erupted from behind them. Nicholas and Kalila immediately dashed behind the closest cover: one of the cars. They crouched, with their backs against the car.
"Where is it?" Nicholas whispered as quietly as he could. Kalila poked only her eyes up, just enough to look through the windows of the car.
"There was only one... It sounded like only one. It's behind us somewhere... But I don't see it." She said just as quietly, bringing herself down into a low crouch again.
"Fix your dress!" Nicholas said seriously, but jokingly. He didn't really find one infected much of a threat. He much rather worry about his sister covering her female parts.
"Sorry." Kalila mumbled, as she closed her legs and put one knee against the ground. She looked forward to the Walmart. "Should we risk going ahead. If it's only one... You can get it right?"
"Uh uh! What if it's not alone? What if it hasn't seen us yet? We should wait for the others..." Nicholas said firmly. His true reason was he didn't want to be so separated from their group.
"Fine... Geez..." Kalila said, holding her hands up in a defensive position. "We should probably wait for the others anyway." at this Nicholas looked to the ground uncomfortably. "I got it..." She whispered leaning her body around the car. She wrote with her finger, as big as she could, within the grim build-up on the vehicle: Be careful of zombies! We are here."

The cousins were on there guard as soon as the infected had come on to the scene. Ada quickly grabbed Eri by the wrist and put the young girl behind her as she got ready to shoot. Nikita stood in front of Ada and took aim, however he stopped and just waited for them to come towards him after a few seconds. The problem was from their position. If the cousins fired from the angle they where in, then they risked injuring the father-son pair. So, instead they waited for them to get too close. However, the duo took care of themselves with only a few minor injuries. Ada went back to talking with Eri.

As Eri spoke Ada had a look of shock plastered to her face. she looked to Nikita to see his reaction. His mouth was agape. He asked Eri if she was serious. Ada was glad in the sense that she had an actual reason for disliking Mizuki. She had felt something about him before but couldn't quite put her finger on it. Nikita told of how he didn't hate Mizuki, but felt something dangerous about him from the beginning. Ada immediately piped up that she had to tell the siblings. She knew Kalila and Nicholas cared about the Asian young man a lot. They had risked a lot trying to get to him. Nikita silenced Ada with a hand signaling silence. He told her that it may have been the siblings already knew about it and, much like them, where trying to keep it secret. He suggested they tell the scientist instead. Ada rolled her eyes and said if there was any secrets then David was in on it. Eri continued to speak and Ada frowned a little. She didn't like what was becoming of the young girl. Nikita was thinking along the same lines, but was trying to stop himself from having another guilt trip. Ada looked to Nikita and asked him if Mizuki was infected how come he didn't look infected, Nikita was dumbfounded. It was true for someone who was infected he was not pale. He was a little paler than normal people, but nowhere near the level Eri was at now. Nikita suggested that he might have not been infected for a long time yet. Ada however referred him to Eri said earlier.

Eri had composed herself and told them Mizuki had told them to go on. Ada and Nikita looked at each other in confusion and then back at Eri. They hadn't heard anything. The last thing they had heard, along those lines, was when he told the siblings to go ahead. Eri grabbed Ada's hand and she found nothing wrong with it as she was pulled along. That is until she felt like the circulation in her hand was going to be cut of. She gasped a little and frowned down at Eri, silently implying her to stop. However, she stopped before she even looked at her. They continued to walk forward in the same direction the siblings had gone in. Nikita followed the girls, paying attention to every direction and what things could lie ahead.

David looked at the little infected girl as she talked ill of Mizuki, thinking he probably couldn't hear. The side of David's smile twitched. He wanted to say something. He wanted to tell her, he'll survive longer then you. But he didn't.
Alex looked up at his dad. He could tell something was wrong, he just didn't know what.
"Go?" David asked. He looked up at mizuki, about to say something, but his tongue caught when he looked into mizuki's eyes. Even through the goggles there was something... scary about them. David pushed his son off in the direction that Kalila and nicholas had ran off.
Alex took the hint and ran off. Following the path he had seen Nicholas and Kalila go. He ran around a corner, and saw a street. Across the street was the parking lot to a Wal-Mart. He took off running accross the street, not noticing Nicholas and his sister crouched behind a car. When he reached the parking lot, he finally noticed them crouching. He just about yelled to them asking what they were doing, but then he noticed they had written something on the car. Alex squinted, reading it aloud, "Be... Carefull... of... Zombies...!" Alex said the last part with a little bit of suprise. "Crap." He continued ducking behind the closest thing. A bush. He pulled out his sniper, and scanned the parking lot for any infected."
David was happy to see his son had gotten the message. Then he looked over at Mizuki. He still had the feral look in his eyes, and david just noticed his entire body was shaking. David smiled a little more, then got a serious look. He put his gun up to the side of Mizuki's head and said, "I have a warning for you. If you go infected on us, I will have no problem lodging a bullet through your brain..." David stared mizuki directly in the eyes. "But, if I go infected... I want you to be the one to do me in." He finished pulling his gun away from Mizuki. With that David went running the same direction his son had just a little bit ago. When he reached the parking lot, he couldn't find his son anywhere. He ran, trying to go into the parking lot, but was cut short by something catching his leg. He looked down and saw an arm reaching out of a bush, grabbing his leg. "OH MY GOD!" He screamed, nearly kicking the crap out of it, but then Alex stuck his head out and said, "SHHHHHHH!"
David said, "Why."
"infected."
David looked around, then said, "I don't see any?" Kicking his son's hand off, he nonchalantly walked off towards the car with writing on it. He ducked down beside Kalila and Nicholas, then said, "What are you guys hiding from, I don't see anything?"

(( Thats it. I'm getting back into this loop even if I have to contradict everthing I said last time I posted 3nodding ))

Terry moved up the rusted, worn out, ladder and helped Thomas get up onto the deck. The group of infected that had been following them up until now had been taken out thanks to Thomas. He dropped the supplies he carried by hand and did the same with Thomas's batch. Terry had heard a loud growl too, and this worried him more than frightened him. The sound was almost infrasonic, a noise only large animals like whales could make, and he made an estimate of around 100-200 hertz. Whatever it was, it was big and it sounded like nothing he'd ever heard before. Well we got the frag grenades and the infected population has decreased considerably, if there was ever a time to get the hell out of here, it should be now. Terry looked down at his truck, spattered with an unpleasant mixture of dirt and blood. I need to tell them my trucks down as well.Terry also noted the blazing ocean of flames in front of the house, well they must have been having fun with the matches. That thought suddenly reminded him of Smokey the Bear, but he just shook it off and looked inside to see if anyone was in immediate view...
