I personally enjoyed FFIX alot. Decent plot. Graphics don't take away from the game. The dialogue isn't near as tired as alot of the games they're coming out with these days.

Some of the character developement is a wee-bit on the weak side, but otherwise I've enjoyed the game alot. Nice and light-hearted, without sacrificing too much childishness for the plot.

The plot COULD be stronger though. A bit more dialogue would help thrust you into the emotionalness of the scenes. And making the dungeons a little more scarce could have helped too. Too many dungeons, too few towns.

Overall, I give a "Better than most".

I thought it was a fabulous game until that huge twist in the plot.

I honestly threw my remote and returned the game instantly, it killed the story and the game for me.

THere's a plot twist? Huh.

I personally think it's a very poor game. The plot (I'm still about to fight Crosell) is very weak, and very shallow. The dialogue is absolutely terrible. It's dry, it's meaningless, and there's far too much of it. Exciting dialogue you can have lots of, but you can't have lots of boring dialogue. The dialogue doesn't lend to the characters it all, it just makes them more shallow, and it seems as though it was improvised, not scripted. The dialogue kills it.

What the game does have is good gameplay. The battle system owns and the graphics are good. However, running back and forth between 5 towns for half the f***ing game isn't fun. It just gets boring. The game needs a world map. The area between towns is waaaaay too small because of it. It's like if the towns grow in population just a couple thousand more people they'll all be one city. It's stupid.

I personally think it's a low quality game, barely saved by it's graphics and rockin' real time battle system.

The only character I liek in there is Cliff xd
