X's face went white as they said they were looking for her heart
"forget it guys.....if I get my heart back, i'll die....when I was borne, dad stabbed me in the heart and then pried it out....if I get it back, im dead....so forget it" she said upset as she crossed her arms and put her head down.
Kalena sighed sitting down
"Ethan, when you die, i'll never be able to die...even if I do, I just get reborne every time.....i'll never get that eternal rest. I tried many times....suicide....it never gets me to the eternal rest....so I just gave up."

Ethan slapped her crying as he looked down. "You think that gives you the right to just die over and over?! You think that gives you the right to just let everyone around you feel this pathetic to feel you leave this world time and time again coming back like nothing happened?! You think I can sit here and wait for that to happen again!"

"he stabbed it with darkness. It consumed my heart with darkness....if I reunite with my heart....i'll die from the stab wound I got years ago." She sighed looking up at him.
"im afraid to die because I have you. You make me feel like I have a heart."Kalena looked at Ethan as he slapped her. There were tears coming down her face and she started to walk away.

Alex frowned and sighed once more. "I love you, X." H hugged her. "I know I can't truely replace your heart, but I'll try my best to make it up for you." He turned to Ethan as Kalena walked away. "What'd you do to her?"

Ethan grabbed her arm. "That's pain, it's a human feeling in case you forget, do you even realise no matter how many times i tell myself that you'll just come back a part of my heart dies when you do? You can't walk away from this pain, you can't just give up on it Kal..." He pulled her so they were facing each other. "You can't hide from this I've felt this pain too much Kal, I can't think about you dying without getting upset never mind actually knowing, or even worse seeing you die."

I lost so many people in one life, and then another life, everyone I care about turns against me and kills me, and then another life, the love of that life stole enough power to compleatly obliterate me and I had to lock him away in a prison that could even hold me."Kelina walked in and slammed the door
"Kalena, why are you crying."She looked at Ethan, there was a definate pain in her eyes from all that shes lost."ohhhhh...that pain....did you tell him about Blackthorne yet?" the look of fear came across her face when she said that nameShe shook her head no.

"Here..." He took off his t-shirt revealing scars all over his body. "...You think you know pain? These are the amount of people in my protection, my royal guard that I personally had to kill, some begged me to kill them instead of losing their hearts, others were to badly injured I couldn't do anything about it, others rebeled against me and tried to kill me themselves..." He looked to them both. "No matter how you think of this, we all have a story to tell, only difference is you get another shot, another chance to try and remove a piece of that pain... I have to sleep hearing them crying for their king to save them from darkness, I had to see them die one at a time while they were forced to stop at killing their friends and family... You've been in a war, now try having to Kelina, Alex and X at the same time while they swing whatever weapons they have at you... You can't tell me pain because I've already felt it."

She looked down
"I have, Ethan. I have. Its why I erase my memory after ever life...to start anew and try to stop what happens every time. Every life time, that someone I care about knows about the true me, ive had many of them go power hungry....even my own father of my last life....he was my rolemodel, he was a gentle, kind man....but when he found out, he changed to a horrible man who loved to kill.....he killed me in my last life right after I gave up my body to trap a evil that shouldnt be released....he killed me in my true form....then he came back and killed my parents, siblings, everyone in this lifetime...but I dont want to kill him....because I want to believe that he will change back to the kind man he was."
She broke down onto her knees and cried going into a fetal position. Kelina sighed
"his name is Blackthorne....Blackthorne Keeper....she decided to keep her last name because he was still alive...she tried everything she could to try to get him to go back to the man he was but everything she did failed. She cant get over the same fact that she cant help everyone even if she wants to."

Alex held his hands over his ears. Spike trotted over to Kalena and licked up her tears, his soft and dark tongue licking her cheek.

Ethan sighed and walked to her picking her up. "I've met him before Kal you were there, I've fought him before" He looked to her before putting her back down. "Your pain is mine, that's how we worked... I protected you and you'd turn away every time I'd change at the price of knowing that when you'd change i'd turn away... I can't feel you leave me Kal." He turned his back on her, imprinted into his back was his family name. "I've faced a similar evil remember? My dad wanted to kill me too, difference being my family agreed with him, you had Blackthorne and as tough as he is you've never felt family blood spilt by your hands, I've felt it four times." He looked back to her his hair started to spike as blue flashes appeared round his hands. "You changed over this time, I've had to change you once or twice, are you telling me the Kal I fell in love with is gone, or has given up in front of me?"

X softly placed her hands over Alex's hands covering his ears as well.
She turned her head to her shoulder
"i'll decide about you guys fighting for my heart, ok, Im good without it, really." she faked a smile but it was rather convincing.
Kalena looked at Ethan
"she never left, Ethan....I just...." she sighs heavily and sat up
"I havent given up either...im just....im afraid of something going terribly wrong at my hands and there being nothing to fix it."
She grabbed his hands and held them tightly
"I just know that one day....I will be retiring my posistion and then I will still feel the same burdens....being unable to let go being one of those burdens. Its so heavy."

Ethan looked down "You wont take that burden alone, whether I die or not I'm still there, which is why I'm still here... I loved that Kal, I loved the one I met not the changes she made, but those changes made you." He pressed his cheek against hers. "But it never mattered how you'd change because I'd change with you, and I always will, your never alone and never have been since I met that Kalena."
