"I'm coming!" The Hare shouted back, squinting out over and under his sleeve as he moved through the room as quickly as he could without actually walking directly through any flames, and into the room the sounds were coming from.
"Keep talking! I'll get you out!"

@ Denbe, in the Hut:
As Denbe called out, a piece of the roof fell in, aflame and blackened. Just a small piece, but enough of one that indicates time is of the essence.
"Please... oh kami, please..."
As Denbe ran into the back room, he would see a rather... unexpected sight. A young man lay cut open, face down in a pool of blood, unnaturally still. As he lay just inside the doorway, a young petite woman lay upon her futon, face up. She was impaled upon a wakizashi, that lay buried through her midsection and into the ground. Her health seemed to be fading.
Though, as she saw Denbe rush in, her eyes widened. "N-no... samurai... trap..."
At this point, Denbe, give me an initiative roll in addition to anything else you post. Don't worry, I'm asking the same thing of everyone else.

@ Kagae, Outside the hut:
31 vs TNtbH+10(range)-5(unknown attacker) = vs 29; 8 damage
As Kagae stood outside the building, he would hear a low whistle, barely audible. It lasted only for a moment, but as his mind would likely process the noise, the willow leaf arrow that was fired from the darkness would strike him in the shoulder for 8 damage!
Kagae, roll me some initiatives too!

@ WEST SIIIIIDE with Miyako and Kojiro:
Away from these events, the two true Scorpions would be patroling, trying to find some sort of indication of an attack.
Stealth of 20, 8, 14, 60
The duo would soon reach the western entrance of the town, and by chance, would see three bandits skulking in while everyone was distracted. There was a scarred man with a no-dachi and ashigaru armor, a skinny pale man with a yari and ashigaru armor, and a woman built like an ox with a masakari and no armor at all.
"You pawns are holding me back," a voice would say, causing the three to turn around. Kuemon, wrapped in black, would gesture towards the two of you. "You've been spotted. Clean up your mess, I'm going after Sanzo. Don't take prisoners."
He would step back into some tall grass and almost instantly went off the proverbial radar, making no noise nor motion that gave away his position.
Though not QUITE yet in melee range, the three bandits lock eyes on you two.
Kojiro, Miyako... roll me some initiatives!

"So, you're the goodie two-sandals that Kuemon-sama said would take our bait," a voice said from Denbe's back. If he turned around, he would see a young man, in his late teens and long black hair, armed with a katana and donning ashigaru armor. He was completely soaked, most likely as a way to cope with the fire.
"Kuemon-sama said whoever showed up, I'd get to use this," he explained, making a slashing motion with the katana, "to cut him to ribbons. I tire of you Clan samurai. Now, I skin you with one of your own weapons!"
Tightening his grip on the weapon with two hands, he readied himself for action, though Denbe's quick enough to get the drop on him.
At the end of every round, everyone will take 1 damage from the fire/heat automatically!

"Not if I chop them up first, Oto-kun. I owe those buke bastards, an' I plan to collect," the woman would say in a deep husky voice, gripping her axe firmly. She would be positioned to the right of the group.
"Shaddup, both of you. Less talkin', more killin'," the skinny guy with the spear would say, eyes narrowing on Kojiro. "Samurai are not to be trifled with. Kill one, move on to the next target. Kill one, move on to the next target," he would repeat, a bit more wary than the rest. He was positioned to the left of the others.
Kojiro, Miyako! What are you gonna do?

The Hare's head snapped around at the voice, moving from the dying peasant to this warrior, perhaps his own age, rising up from the wreck. His knuckles went white on his katana, staring with wild eyes as his mind did the math. One missing daisho, and one katana and wakazashi present here with this bandit. They'd murdered these peasants with Kagae's own daisho just to lure him in. Rain Yupa "Kuemon-sama said whoever showed up, I'd get to use this," he explained, making a slashing motion with the katana, "to cut him to ribbons. I ti-" "-that's not yours," the Hare cut in, barely loud enough to be audible over the flames, perhaps not even enough to halt Sotan's speech. That would be what came next. Suddenly turning to a blur of motion, the Hare rushed the bandit headlong across the flames, bursting into the air like only a Hare could just before the strike- spinning sideways in the air as he drew his blade and lashed out with all his strength and a wild shout. [Full Attack Stance]

As Kojiro moved to strike the first man, Miyako held her own, drawing her blade but remaining in a defensive pose. "You are interfering with wardens of the Empire. I suggest you leave now. If you leave, we will not pursue, but if you persist we will have no choice but to kill you."
