One of the giants comes over to ask if he is having a good time, it's voice booming in her ears... or is it his ears. There is something definitely suspicious about that voice which felt more as if it was coming to him inside his head rather than out.

The giant winks at him and walks away. Nope, not the Dawnlord.

Lyssan walks over with a grin. "This is a great party, but I'm getting stepped on something terrible. I probably should have thought over my idea for a costume a little better than I did. Can I ride on yer back for a bit? At least until we get back to the table. Oh... look... the musicians are going to play something. They're probably not as good as you or that half sotted son of mine, but I'm always up for a dance. Shall we?"

A massive club waved in his direction gives her away, but she has no desire to buck the dancers which are filing out onto the floor to get to him.

Button eyes blink at him and the doll smiles. "I know... but I could tell you really weren't ready to do what was needful... or accept fact as truth. And Kero, whenever you do go on a manhunt, remember this, do so with a cold not hot heart. Also... follow yer own directives... harm no one without considering fully what your actions may bring about... You have lived a long rich life... not all of it on the straight and narrow... you've learned much... discarded more... and have come to a certain sense of peace... don't blow that needlessly... okay?"

Suddenly Lyssan's head comes up with a start. "My Lord! It is a good thin that little cub's costume isn't like Tam's. If her little horn was real,...." she chuckles wickedly. "That boy of mine would be singing soprano for the rest of his known existence."

Kero looks over to a corner of the room where Salunia is dancing with Tam, weaving in and out of his legs with delightful abandon. The pegasus's face occasionally winces, but he gamely plays along, while nearby the Asian dude and the fairy are dancing more sedately and a bit more intimately.

Lyssan looks hard at hium and sighs. "Are you still hung up on that part? Yes, Kero, you are... but then yer also ancient beyond belief and ye haven't let that bother ye... not one little bit. Being sterile doesn't mean ye can't... ummm... love yer wife.... or raise a family fer heaven's sake... ye just have to be a little more creative about it...."

Lyssan leads him from the dance floor and pushes him gently back into his seat. "Kero... hundreds of thousands of children are born each day with fathers who could care less... fathers who abandon them... fathers who have no idea they even have children at all... and then there are the fathers who have children who cannot touch them... cannot love them... but desperately want to." She glances over to where Tam is dancing with Salunia. Fathers who will love any child they meet because they so desperately feel the need to love freely and be loved freely in return.... But in reality... having children is only a small part of loving another... I will not cheapen a child's love. The love of a child is precious indeed... But neither will I glorify it. Love is to be given... to be earned... has Talesian taught you nothing?"
