"To live is to slowly be born."_____________________________Embergaze_____________________________[Embergaze nodded, flicking his ears with frustration.] "Scary thing is," he rumbled gruffly to Cherrydrop, "I've yet to find any live prey." [He flicked his tail, scanning the forest worriedly, then returned his gaze to her, eyes burning with remorse.] "We have a whole Clan to feed! What're we gonna do...?" he murmured, eyes downcast again. Then he raised his head and said quickly, if not a bit embarrassedly, "Oh, well, don't mind me, I'm just being a downer. I'm sure we will find food soon..." [He shifted on his feet anxiety prickling at his paws.] "What do you think?"

I've been here for too long. Every moment, I see your face. All I ask for, is love. I want to know what's going on. Please help me. Until my very last breath, You can call me:Birdpaw BreezeClan|Apprentice|She-Cat|Young Love|Distant&Solitary _______________________________________________________________________________________ [Raising her head, the calico apprentice tried to stop her shaking. The giant cat had been extremely terrifying, and Birdpaw knew she'd be seeing it in her nightmares. Struggling to her tiny paws, the she-cat looked over at Shadepaw, green eyes wide. When was all the madness going to stop? Sighing slightly, she stretched, trying to see if the giant fleabag had hurt anything. Birdpaw had landed on the ground pretty hard, but that was alright. Twisting her head, the apprentice tried to check along her flank and spotted a long gash down her left side. Blinking, Birdpaw tried not to gasp. How could she not have noticed? Birdpaw had never had an injury like this before.
You will have many injuries throughout your lifetime. They will do nothing but make you stronger. They are a fact of life, and come with being a warrior. You must learn to accept it.
I never said anything about not accepting it, it just hurts!
The voice just snorted and fell silent. Jolting back to reality, Birdpaw sat back down, looking over at Ice-ears, leaning slightly on Shadepaw]] "Hey, um..Ice? Would you mind looking at this when you have the chance?" [The den was a complete mess, so Birdpaw didn't blame the she-cat if it was a little while before she got any attention] ________________________________________________________________________________________ Reincarnation of Birdsong I vow to protect you. I've seen this all before. Nothing seems old, yet it all seems new. My life is split in two. Will it be like this forever? Will I ever find you?

~Cherrydrop~ Mentor of Breezeclan When life gives you cherries...
[ Cherrydrop nodded as Embergaze spoke. She looked up to the sky, as he turned away, giving her own pray to Starclan. ] Starclan, guide us a way... I know you will. [ Cherrydrop listened quietly, taking the tom's words in her mind. She could tell he was worried, and she was too. Almost everyone must be worried. He gave her a chance to speak. She took it, but she spoke shyly again. ] " Yes, we will find food soon. We may have to struggle for a few moons, or even more. But we will find food. I really don't know what will happen." [ Cherrydrop held her head up high. She knew this was somewhat true. But she knew worse things could happen. She spoke again, her voice a little shaky.] " But I think right now.. We should prepare for the worst. Like if that wildcat comes back.."
... It's perfect!

Patience is the companion of wisdom
 Frostclaw
[Frostclaw watched her apprentice and his brother carefully. She expected the regular blind attack but instead they started rolling. The she cat picked up her paw as one of the twins neared, though it was clear they were both set on attacking Galestar. That was fine with her, it meant she could relax and laugh at the three of them. She padded over to her apprentice to make sure he hadn't hurt himself. A small sweep over his body with her eyes reassured her.]
"I...disagree Galestar...that move was erratic, it would leave them vulnerable but it would confuse their opponent. After all, she turned her head toward Sunpaw and flicked an ear, "Who would expect it?" If the twins could perfect it, it would be come a valuable move.
[Frostclaw whipped around toward Serpentfang. She was barely able to get anything from what the sharp-toothed had said, but it was still clear enough. Everything about her words screamed danger. The silver warrior rushed back to camp on Galestar's heels. She licked Galestar on his cheek quickly for good luck and watched him track the patrol. She immediately turned to Sunpaw, the air around her taking on a serious tone.]
"Sunpaw I need you to help me with the injured. We need to get them to Ice-ear's den as quickly as possible."
[Surely that was all the instruction an apprentice needed to start a job, he would do fine if he helped his fellow apprentices. Frostclaw worked quickly, gathering the injured and helping them to the entrance of Ice-ear's den. There would be many cats, surely too many to fit in there all at once.]

EbonyLight >> Tom >> Warrior of Breezeclan >> Quiet and Lonely

[Ebonylight shyly dragged his soft gold gaze towards his paws, their deep raven color seemed to calm him as he spoke curtly, his voice somewhat brave.] "T-That's....good..." [Ebonylight watched her change positions, so he nervously looked down to meet Serpentfang's beautiful emerald gaze, he narrowed his eyes as she asked the young tom a question. His tail lashing uneasily as he responded with a stronger voice.] "Of course not Serpentfang. You are not a danger to me, or anyone else in the clan for that matter. Please don't think of yourself as a monster or a beast...because you aren't, and you never will be one." [Ebonylight looked down at his paws again, forcing a soft little smile of reassurance. His heart beat in his chest whenever he even looked at her.... he felt so stupid around her, afraid to make the wrong more or endanger her.]

"Shadowed light may grow brighter... I hope..."

Even if a snake is not poisonous...__________________________________________________________
[Serpentfang glanced over discretely at the tom as he nervously averted his gaze. She found the behavior odd. She didn't know many cats quite as shy as herself, except for Embergaze of course. In her mind the memory of the violent behavior of the giant wildcat replayed over and over. She shuttered as she could see the similar violence she had shown upon her enemys before. She sat up strait suddenly as Ebonylight spoke in a more confidant voice which she did not expect. She tilted her head as he spoke, and then gave him a sweet smile. By the tone in his voice he had to be right!]
"Y-yeah. You are right Ebonylight... Serpentfang is nothing like that monster. Being a wildcat means nothing, she is still a part of this clan."
Serpentfang was only protecting her clan...
[She reassured herself in her mind. Her gloom seemed to vanish as a wide and cheerful grin stretched across her once saddened face.]
"Yeah, she is not a beast. Thank you Ebonylight! Serpentfang the Breezeclan warrior is going to go see if there is anything else she can do to help her clan. Maybe hunting!"
[With a spring in her pounce and renewed energy she bounded off stopping suddenly after traveling a few fox lengths away and turning around to look at the dark tom behind her.]
"Oh, uh, would you like to come too?"

When life knocks you down FIREPAW _______ [Firepaw's eye's filled with fury as Comet tore through camp, tearing everything they had apart, but mainly the medicine den. He looked back at Comet, and hissed a few curses as she left.]"You weak little runt, Get back over here and I'll show you who's boss."[He snarled, walking back to where he was afterwards. There was really nothing to do as an apprentice, his mentor was pretty busy most of the time. Maybe He'd find another warrior to mentor him just once. Stripewhisker, maybe? He seemed like a cool cat. Firepaw decided to ask later, instead of now. Too much embarrassment.] Just get back up when it knocks you down [Hooray for Writers Blocks 8D I plan to start the friendship of Stripewhisker and Firepaw around now (: ]

[Iceears looked over at Birdpaw, seeing the long gash on her left side. Iceears looked back at her den before shaking out her fur. She was in complete shock that her den had been made a mess of even further, but there was no time to sit and stare like a frightened mouse. Iceears dipped her head to Birdpaw before looking around. She had to get some cobwebs. If only she had an apprentice to help her out with all of this. Iceears ran over to a little spot of cobwebs she spotted and got as many as she could. Iceears then went over to Birdpaw and started fixing up her wound.] "I'm not sure if any of my herbs are good enough to be used right now so I can't offer to put any on your wound, but for now we just need to stop the bleeding. You'll be fine as long as you rest and don't do anything to re-open it." [Iceears said in a calm and happy voice. She wanted to give Birdpaw a sense of calm. The wound didn't seem too bad. Iceears saw Frostclaw helping injured cats over to her den and then went into what was left of her den, trying to get to the herb storage and salvage what little she could.]

EbonyLight >> Tom >> Warrior of Breezeclan >> Quiet and Lonely

[With a shy smile, the raven black tom answered the wild cat.] "No problem Serpentfang, and... sure, the fresh-kill pile is running low." [Ebonylight's head turned to see a measly pile of prey, topped with 2 rabbits and a few other small kills. With the nice weather, their hunting should be fruitful. Ebonylight felt happiness wash over him as his crush seemed to feel energetic and happy again. He bounded after Serpentfang with a soft expression.]

Even if a snake is not poisonous...__________________________________________________________
[Serpentfang crouched down low to the ground, disappearing in the tall grass that covered most of the plain. With the silence of a shadow she slithered forward through the grass as her bright slit eyes scanned the ground before her for the slightest trace of movement. Nothing. The sight of fur and the smell of blood caught her attention however as she crept forward and lunged, pouncing upon the mangled and almost unrecognizable form of a chewed up rabbit. In disgust she flinched back. What could have killed this living thing and not even eaten it? Probably that other wildcat if she had to guess. Disgusting how it killed for absolutely no reason, just for the sake of blood. She peered over the grass to look at Embergaze and Cherrydrop who also seemed to be hunting for the clan as well. Curious weather or not they were having any luck she slithered on up behind the two.]
"Hello Embergaze, Cherrydrop. Having any luck. Is it just Serpentfang's imagination or dose the pray look a little, dead lately?"
[Waiting for a response she tilted her head as she neatly coiled her long tail around her paws, sitting up tall ans her large form towered up over the grass.]

Warrior | Dreamer | Changing | Strong ............................. "Every day ............

He shuddered at the thought of the beast returning and cast a worried glance sideways.] "I don't really want to think about that thing returning, but you do have a point," he admitted. "I think that's on everyone's mind-whether or not it will return." [His hair stood on end, but he sighed, eyes downcast. What now? It was different with a fox or a badger! This was a fully grown legendary cat that could kill warriors in a single blow-or bite! They were all in danger. He imagined lethal claws coming down on Mapleleaf, ripping her in half, and his hair bristled. He unsheathed his claws, grimacing. He would never let that happen! No! He would defend his loved ones against this beast-even at the cost of his own life...]
"But I'm not afraid," he muttered aloud, raising his eyes. "I'll fight to the death to protect BreezeClan..." [Galestar strolled over, eyes bright with hope, and purred as he overheard Embergaze speak.] "This is wonderful, Embergaze, and I'm happy for you, but how about focusing on getting food so the Clan can live rather than thinking about dying?" [Embergaze stood abruptly, ears flattened in embarrassment, and he nodded hurriedly, pelt ruffling. Galestar chuckled and turned to the patrol, eyes glittering.] "Alright, everyone, let's head home-looks like the prey isn't running today."
[Embergaze nodded and turned his head as Serpentfang approached him, ears pricking at the sight of his good friend. He purred as she greeted them, waving his tail in a friendly manner.] "It's no better for us!" he exclaimed, shaking his head. "The prey isn't even running. In fact, I hardly think there's any live prey here...but that's no way to talk. I'm sure they'll return after we kick the Slayer's butts and get them out of our territory, or kill em." [He smiled hopefully at her and picked up his prey, turning as he felt Mapleleaf press against his pelt.] "We're heading home now, so good luck hunting," he murmured through his prey's fur before following the patrol home.
[Once they arrived back in camp, he depsited the fresh-kill onto the pile and winced as he heard warriors around him murmur in shock at the trampled prey. Had they caught no live ones? Why was the prey trampled? Questions were whispered in fear but not spoken boldly. The Clan was afraid, and it made him uneasy...even Galestar's confident stride was offset by the worry in his eyes. He shook his pelt, turning to Mapleleaf with a defeated sigh.] "I'm so worried, Mapleleaf," he murmured softly as she pressed against him comfortingly. "What's going to happen to us now...?" - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - "To live is to slowly be born."

Even if a snake is not poisonous...__________________________________________________________
[The wildcat smiled sweetly at her friend's kind greeting. The worry in his eyes however made her nervous. Feeling selfconciouse of her bloodline she meekly fiddle with the tip of her twitching tail to distract herself as she listened to his words of how he would noblely fight to the death for Breezeclan. Normally she would agree, admiring the intense loyalty they shared for their family, but this enemy was different.
It makes no difference if one dies in battle protecting their loved ones if one can not take the enemy down with them. With you gone the enemy can still take the beloved's life and one will have died in vain. Its such a terrifying though. There HAS to be a way to take them down. We must think of a plan....
[Her eyes shifted over to Galestar as he passed, wondering what he was thinking or if he shared the same train of thought she did. Her nervousness took over as she quickly padded after him, worry in her eyes.]
"Galestar, Serpentfang was wondering what we should do in case the slayer comes back. Do we have an evacuation route or a trap in mind?"
[Her tail twitched anxiously as her ears perked up. She had great faith in her leader's cleverness and knew that whatever he decided was the best course of action.]

[Galestar blinked at Serpentfang, a purr in his throat.] "Why, we run, of course!" he stated cheerfully. "We stand no chance against it alone, so we run. But that's plan B. I'm working with the warriors to enact plan A, where we use our size and speed to overcome the beast. I'm hoping we can drive it into the river or the likes, or make it trip down a hill. If only we could find a fox trap for once and lure it into it...that would be helpful, ironically enough." [He murmured to himself as such, thoughts trailing away from Serpentfang before realizing he was rambling and snapped back.] "Ah yes, so don't worry. Initially, if the thing comes, we run, but if we catch it off guard, it's Plan A to go." [He nodded to her and then picked up his prey, returning it to the fresh kill pile. It seemed that all the prey was gone, and there was only one thing left to do. He jumped up to the highbranch and yowled to begin another meeting.]
"My warriors, we have searched through BreezeClan," he began, "And did not find very much. The beast certainly came through from StormClan, who have been alerted of the danger and are handling it as best they can, and the prey is mostly gone. So we must salvage the prey we found in very small portions, for it is going to need to last! Elders and kittens are fed first, then queens and apprentices. My warriors, we shall have to bear with the hunger. Thankfully, it is newleaf and the prey should return once we resolve this problem. Now, if the Slayers return, we have two plans. The initial plan is to flee. DO NOT FIGHT THE SLAYER. Save those in the way and try to avoid it. The other plan involves us finding the Slayer first, and rather than attacking it head-on or fighting it, we will use our size to our advantage and lure it towards the river or a pitfall, if we can find one. I want every warrior to search for sharp drops in our territory that we can use to push it off of and hopefully injure it. Also, carefully search for traps near the twoleg areas because we could use those to our advantage as well. Now, I want no new dens to be made, hear? We cannot be tied down in case we need to flee. Kits will be protected foremost and guarded. Everyone else will have to sleep as rogues do and pick a spot in a tree or bush. We must divide first when we are attacked and then regroup to defend or drive the beast away. Understood? I want patrols bordering the StormClan border at all times! They are our main concern because that is where the Slayers come from. Other warriors must stay in camp to protect the elders and the kits, as well as continue training your apprentices. Free warriors will help Ice-ears collect herbs for re-stocking or go on patrols. Let's move! BreezeClan will remain strong!" [Galestar jumped down from the Highbranch, padding towards Moonpaw.]
"Alright, this time we train without any interruptions. Forget double-training, we need to do one-on-one. Follow me to the training hollow." [He led Moonpaw towards the clearing, his eyes determined, then turned.] "I'm going to show you a move and I want you to copy me," he meowed. "Since you cannot fight the Slayer head-on, I'll teach you some maneuvers that should help you run fast and act as a lure while not getting hurt. Try to attract its attention so it focuses on you while warriors attack it." [Galestar darted forward, zooming towards a leaf, and suddenly pounced to the left, dotting around it and swiping as he zoomed by. Then he skidded to a stop and sprung, swooping through the leaf, and bounced around before darting to the right and continuing to dart around and swerve.] "Get the idea?" he asked as he stopped. "Dart precisely and carefully past an enemy while attacking, turn around, dart by again, etc. Use your size and speed to your advantage. Now you try."

This place; it was much too open. She snorted lightly. How could any cat feel protected on this type of territory? There wasn't a tree in sight. She turned a sideways glance at Swansong. He looked even more uncomfortable than the leader herself. His tail dragged against the ground and his ears were pinned against his head. A look of wariness was evident in his pine-green eyes. Lavenderstar blinked.] "Are you going to be okay, Swansong?" [She asked cautiously. The last thing she needed was a frightened warrior tromping all the way back to camp.
Swansong turned to her, a defiant expression crossing his face. He was glaring as if to say, 'What the heck is that supposed to mean?!'. Lavenderstar's ears flattened slightly. Nevermind... she thought, turning her head. She hadn't meant to offend the tom. Then again, he was easy to offend, so it wasn't much of a surprise.
Lavenderstar skidded to a halt when she could no longer hear Swansong's pawsteps behind her. She looked back, about to tell him to get going, but he quickly motioned to the right with his chin. His ears slightly as if to tell her to listen. She nodded slightly, focusing. She was pretty sure she could hear Galestar's voice. With a brisk movement, she trotted quickly in the direction of the directing voice. She paused at the edge of a large clearing-type place. She quietly guessed that it was a training hollow. Galestar was busy training a brown tabby, it seemed. She cleared her throat, stepping into the hollow.]

[I sat down beside Lavenderstar quietly, my ears flickering. My previous expression of wariness had changed into a look of blatant boredom. Why had Lavenderstar dragged me here? Why were we talking to an enemy Clan leader, of all cats? I snorted softly. There was a possibility that it could be about Silentkit- no, Silentpaw's training. My ears twitched in annoyance. Why had that stupid kit been allowed to become an apprentice? She was just a useless bag of fur. What kind of cat would even be useful with only two useable legs? She could drown in a puddle for crying out loud! I snorted slightly. What had Shimmerpaw been thinking bringing that up at an apprentice ceremony anyway? Ceremonies weren't supposed to be interrupted. My eyes closed wearily. No one respected their superiors these days. It was ridiculous.]
