The fairy shakes it's head and leads him outside, followed closely by everyone else.
"Ye gots ta guess who we are..." comes a familiar giggle from behind him. He turns to see everyone reaching to hush the unicorn. "Oooopppsie..." it whispers sheepishly.

The doll scratches her head in confusion. "Due to what he knows of Kitsunes he knows I'm me.... that makes no sense." grumbles Lyssan testily, stomping her foot. "Kerobian.... why are kitsunes and rag dolls on the same page in yer book?"
Tam chuckles merrily. "Don't think you want to know the answer to that one, Mother dear." The pegasus paces forward and nuzzles the cub. "But he's got us fair and square. Now lets see how well he does with the rest of the villagers. So, my fine elegant son... have ye looked at yerself yet... what are ye?"

And Lady Lyssan, I know kitsune love to go incognito, or as beggars, when they go about. They blend into the background. That's how I guessed you right.

Tam sniggers. "Ma... face it, he got ye fair and square... but yer not exactly what ye were before... more of a composite... hope ye don't mind the liberties Shar took with yer costume. She made ours and Ma and Mica enchanted them today... She also helps other people with theirs as well.... she's been one busy seamstress... now half the town has enchanted costumes... and all have enchanted masks..." he nods to the door. "Your task before the night is through is to figure out who's who."

They join a slow moving jovial stream of people that is flowing in the direction of the inn. It is moving slow, because everyone is so interested in what everyone else is wearing, they are all stopping from time to time, to chatter merrily about this person and that. Finally the small group from Bard Cottage make it to the door. Going in they find it completely transformed... think Christmas, Thanksgiving... and Harvest Fest all rolled into one... then top it off with one heck of a Congratulation party and ye'd be getting close. It resembles an ancient forest with the various sitting alcoves serving and separate fantasy glades. The innkeeper, already warned of this groups composition, comes for and bows low to them. He's the only one who appears even the least bit recognizable, even if his skin is ebony black and dotted with sparkling stars. He waves them to a table of honor and goes off to collect their drinks.

The Asian guy's mouth opens up and out comes a lots of official sounding gibberish, at least from the look on the rag doll's face it's gibberish. The pegasus just doubles over with laughter.

The innkeeper comes over and hands him a mug of hot cider. "She's right Master Cat. You are the only one exempt from the ordeal... though you are to guess as well... it is for you they have dressed up yo see. Then you get to hand out the prize... that silver cup you see over the mantle."
Kero looks and sees a beautiful silver cup, elven work he believes, chased with vines, flowers and figures at play.
