Tam laughs and shakes his head, "Just testing ye to see iffin yer here... yer miles away..." he replies tapping his own forehead.

Tam smiles at him, then grows serious. "Kero,I've been thinking about what ye did..." he says quietly moving the basket of rolls nearer to his mother's reach.

"Oh..." says Lyssan with a grin. "Which part of it were ye thinking on... the impulsiveness... the rudeness... or the out and out idiocy..."

"Mother..." growls Tam testily. "You promised I could handle this on my own, remember?"

**I used to complain about drills at our school where I worked then one day it was fer real and I had a library full of kids... fortunately it wasn't anything serious, but it could have been. I don't begrudge the powers to be anymore... ye'd be surprised how many people ignore that alarm.... thinking it's only a drill....**

Tam sighs, shakes his head at Lyssan, then turns to Kero. "Starting tomorrow, you are grounded, to the cottage, for a month, except for the occasional class. Corby can handled the Morning Song and Mica and Shar can send most of yer assignments down here by messenger. Not only that you will be helping me teach Corby."

He sees Kero's eyes light up and raises his hand. "It's not going to be as much fun as you think. He's opinionated, talented, and headstrong... sound familiar? And I expect you to handle him professionally... period. You will prepare a lesson plan, based on your observations of his skill level, and present it to me for approval. You are better than he is, trust me... or I would not assign this to ye. But this will be no walk through the park. He's going to be angry. He wants me to do it. And he's going to see just how good ye are... the hard way. I know it. He's not going to listen at first. In fact. I fully expect him to blow ye off in an effort to get ye to yell uncle and quit. That is not an option. You will NOT fail. Right?"

Tam smiles at him "Of course anything ye teach him, ye better learn first, so I'm giving ye a day or two to figure out how yer going to test him, before I have Mica send him down. Now eat. We all have somewhere to go. Oh, and Hope, were the contents of the box to yer liking?"

Tam nods to himself. Having Kero learn how to handle someone as impulsive and headstrong as himself was a suggestion from his father and the more he had thought on it, the more he had to agree with him. The lion might not think of it as a punishment now, but he had no doubt he would by the time it was over. Sometimes the best way to see oneself was through the eyes of another.

Tam smiles at him.... "Wait and see,,, oh, and if you go to your room once you are done eating, you'll find your fancy duds... and wear all of it, ok?"

A box, similar to the one Shar just delivered. Curious, he opens it to find a suit of black scales and an odd mask that looks like a very odd cross between a lion and a dragon.

He finds several odd creatures waiting for him outside his room. There is a small pink unicorn, a snow white Pegasus, a very dignified Asian gentleman who appears to be holding a white cat, a tall elegant fairy with gossamer wings, and a rag doll. No one says anything. They just stand there and look at hm in silence.
