David finally came back from where ever his brain was, and looked around. He saw Kalila look at him, then back at this tall guy. He listened to her speak, and let out a slight chuckle. "I don't know, he looks pretty close..." David said, not wanting to waste time to figure out such a trivial thing.
He looked at everyone else. Mizuki was looking at something, or someone, but from where he was standing David couldn't see what. He watched as Mizuki turned around, and accidentally, or at least it looked that way, locked eyes with Kalila. Mizuki walked closer to Kalila and gave her a hug.
Awww, how cute. He thought to himself, holding back a smile. When Mizuki let go, David got a little closer to see what he was looking at before. It was a small girl, about 9 or 10 years old. David couldn't see her very well, so he got a little closer. His eyes widened, and what smile he had on his face completely left him. This girl is infected... He thought to himself, unable to speak. David faultered, nearly grabbing for his gun, when his son asked, "What's wrong dad?"
"N-N-Nothing." He said, forcing the word out of his mouth.
Alex caught the Slim-Fast bar, and said thank you. David however didn't even realize Kalila threw one towards him, and got hit in the back. Alex bent over, and grabbed his dad's bar and handed it to him.
David looked at it, and put a slight smile on his face. This smile was different from his usual smile though. It looked like he was forcing this smile on his face. He pushed it away and said, "No thanks, I'm not hungry right now."
"Oh my god, my dad isn't hungry... I would make a joke about it being the apocalypse, but at this rate, it really will be." Alex commented shoving the slim-fast bar into his backpack.
David walked away, for once in his life, not in a mood for jokes. Not another one. He thought reffering to the little girl, and Mizuki. I wonder how long it will be before she becomes fully infected. He thought. He sighed, shook his head, and put his real smile back on, I don't have time to worry about this kind of stuff, all I know is that I need to keep me and my son safe. He thought, walking back to the group.
He grabbed Alex's backpack, and pulled out the slim-fast bar, un-wrapped it, and ate it all in one bite.
"Well I'm ready to go, what about you all?" He said speaking to most of the group.

Jaden nods in response to Kailias observence, chuckling at the slightly smaller childs comment. He puts his judo stick behind his shoulders, his muscles flexing, looking among the people he says " Ummm......well I'm Jaden Tolken by the way.....do any of you have a plan to get out of here in one piece?" looking at the children around them nearly brought a tear to his big eyes, how ones so young could be caught in such a horrible time, a painful memory of his long since dead sister and brother flashed in Jadens memory. This time a tear did fall but he turned away from the people still listening to the conversations among the people.

As Nicholas mentioned about David nearly getting them killed, those warm feelings towards the middle aged man on reunion were getting frostier still. He frowned deeply and cast a short sharp gaze over but said nothing.
He burned to know the details, but now was not the time. When they were all back and safely tucked up in Nina's flat - only then would he casually bring up the topic of 'so, what did I miss when I was running for my life?'.
But that was for another time. For now, he focused on getting clean and leaving this place before that little girl progressed any further.
Though he liked to think of himself as ruthless, and he had killed a small girl before - she had been about to maul his face off. He didn't think he'd be able to blast apart the youth in cold part.
Oh yes you can. And so much more. A vindictive little voice urged in the back of his mind, as hunger began to throb and the creature rattled its cage lazily.

Mizuki chuckled genuinely at Nicholas' response to Jaden's sheer size.
"Might as well come to terms with it Nicho." He piped up, washing the last of the dried blood caked upon his face and neck away with what must have been the fiftith wipe and tossed it into the vastly growing pile on the floor. "Kali keeps beating you down like that, you ain't gunna go much further."
It was times like this when winding the youth up that Mizuki wished he was taller. Though usually he was at terms with his slight lack of vertical prowess - this was one of many times where he wished he was taller.
Still, looking to Jaden's size, he culdn;t help but think that might be a disadvantge. What with having to crawl through small escape routes - or hiding for instance. When he thought about it deeper, he really did have little to be concerned for as far as his height was concerned after all.

When Kalila came over and presented him with food, he shot a quick nervous glance at Jaden. As if Jaden would pipe up and claim that Mizuki had eaten - that he'd been rapid over those candy bars.
That would be all he needed to fully destroy the mild relationship he had recently formed with David. That would be more than enough to set the ol' paranoia rat free to nibble around in his mind and cause him to freak out.
He accepted the Slimfast with a smile and nod and inwardly praised Jaden to the high heavens for not saying anything.
He also took the water from her gratefully and swallowed half the bottle in one gulp, delighting in the way it cooled his dry and itchy throat.
He was just about to finish the rest when Nicholas' comment caused him to snort childishly.
Clasping a hand over his mouth he forced the water in his mouth down and composed himself, shooting Nicholas a stern fatherly look;
"Now now boy! T'is a perfectly natural process."
Then, being more mature than anyone would have expected about the subject, Mizuki picked up handfuls of tampon packs from the shelves and placed them in his own backpack offering; "There's going to a flat full of girls when we get back, it's only considerate to preapre for the inevitable," as way of explanation.

Looking around him he saw that everyone was ready. He smiled and nodded his head. As Jaden spoke Mizuki smiled.
"A plan is one thing." He said with a strange grin in a parody of some insane character in an adventure story. "A plan we got. But we may loose a few pieces along the trail."
It was then that Mizuki caught the glittering of moisture in the older, taller mans eyes and frowned deeply. Mizuki wasn't exactly best known for his comforting skills, but he crossed the shop and patted the guy's large forearm in what he hoped was an encouraging manner.
"Just joking there buddy. Compose yourself. We're gunna need you at the top of your game if we're to protect these little ladies, kay?" He said, indicating both Kalila and Nicholas with a sweeping hand upon the word 'ladies'.
Grinning he rolled his shoulders and announced; "Suit up! It's probably best for us travelling in these twilight hours. There'll be damp and dew around to mask out scent and we won't be seen from a distance in this poor light. Chances are we'll know their coming before they see us."
Then, turning around to check everyone was ready he spotted David eyeing up the small girl with Ada and Nikita.
Mizuki understood that shocked look of realisation the very moment he percieved it. David knew. He knew in that uncanny way that Mizuki was sure that David suspected on some levels that Mizuki himself might be infected. But this wasn't speculation. David was 100% clear on just what was wrong with the pasty little kid in the corner.
Mizuki crossed the room and picked up David's hand and shook it roughly.
"Good to have the group all back together." He said, loud enough for all to hear.
The he lowered his voice and shot a glance over to the group huddled together.
"It's not our place to say. Unless you wanna kill the kid yourself - it's best to let the others deal with it on their own." He hissed out of the corner of his mouth. It wasn't a forceful command or harsh in anyway. It was one mature and understanding adult male to the next.
If they pointed out Eri's condition now, and admitted to knowing, it would be their duty to put her out of her misery. That or talk Ada or Nikita into it.

With a quick glance to Eri and a curt nod to David, Mizuki hitched up his gun and walked towards the door and glanced out at the street.
"Too the wallmart! Gunna grab us up some grub!" He said in a mock, deep hustler's voice like off some cheesy add.
Then, he opened the door and creeped out, checking up and down the street.
It was empty, asides from torn open packages, empty packets and other discarded litter.
Looking up and down the street Mizuki spotted a few corpses. Though judging from the fact that a few of them were still whole and uneaten - he'd say it was the Crazies. Probably those injured in fights and too damaged to carry on.
There were a few crow caws from somewhere beyond vision - but other than that, all was still.
Looking over his shoulder, he hustled the others out.

Garath looked over in the direction of the noise. And then there were... a thousand. He smiled. It wasn't were funny at all but in the curcomestances it became humourous because death was so close. He wished to out there and help them but he knew he would get in the way. He wondered where Reshion was. Normally Reshion would be in the thick of things. "Nina, do you know where Reshion is?" Maybe REshion had another of his seizures?

"I don't know... I was just wondering that. Last time I saw him he was shooting out of the window. Then... I kind of lost track of him." Nina told Garath sheepishly. She quickly changed the subject, "Um... We should probably do something to help." She said clenching and unclenching her fist. "Alright... We still have extra oil left?" She asked herself out loud and looked around the room. She spotted the red container that normally held some. She snatched at it and shook it. There was a sloshing of liquid inside. "Bien. We got matches?" She asked and looked to the windowsill. They were still there. "Perfect..." She looked at Garath and grinned. "You wanna light some zombies on fire?" Nina asked with an air of casualness, as if she was asking if he wanted to go for an after dinner walk. "Because... We need to lower there numbers a little more... Then I'll permit running away from the house, getting in the cars, and screaming like little girls." she said with a grin. This calmness, this regularity she put up was so wrong. It's like something snapped in her mind. Technically, something did: the need to survive, the surreal-ness of the moment, the fear, Jain fainting, and the smell of gunpowder from explosions did get to her head. As soon as one of the elements were taken away, Nina was sure to start screaming, bawling, or faint... Maybe a nice little mixture of all three.

As Mizuki spoke about height, Nicholas looked from Mizuki to Kalila and narrowed her eyes at her.
"You... You! It's all your fault! " He said in mock seriousness. "You're just jealous I'm taller then you." his tone had changed to whiney. This just resulted in mirrored narrow eyes back at him. However, of course she gave him a sorry look afterward. She was never good with keeping her brother upset, guilt always ate away at her.

As Kalila held out the food and water, she saw a nervous look pass over Mizuki's feature as he looked off in a direction. She had to stop herself from blinking in confusion. Maybe he's just really hungry... And um... Yeah I got nothin'. It was an attempt at giving reason to the situation, but she failed miserably, not able to think of any logical reasoning behind such a move. After all, he had accepted the sad excuse for a meal and almost immediately started drinking. Of course, that was ruined by Nicholas's comment.
After Nicholas yelled, he picked up the slimfast bar and threw it back at his older sister. Kalila dodged it by taking a very casual step to the left as Mizuki spoke in his fatherly manner.
"Uh-uh, Natural... Natural and gross." He mumbled to himself immaturely, picking his gun back up. He was, after all, just thirteen. Ironically, this show of immaturity was happening the same time Mizuki was being the opposite. This just resulted in a blush from Kalila. She looked down at the floor as too hide her embarrassment, brought a hand up to the side of her face, and murmured, "Thank you... You know... For thinking ahead..." As if the subject could be avoided if she did something else, Kalila opened the slimfast bar and shoved it in her mouth, slowly taking a bite out of it. Feeling his older sister's embarrassment Nicholas sighed.
"Um... Kali. Can I have another one?" He asked poking her reddened cheek.
"Mmm-hmm." Kalila jumped on the chance to change the subject and handed him the same bar that had been thrown back and forth between them.
"Thanks." He said quickly, letting his gun hang at his waist again. He took the bar, eating it in a few big, quick bites. He had been hungry, he was in a growing age. He even felt like having another one but decided against, reasoning that if he was too full he would have an issue running. Instead, he just took a few sips from his water bottle, then picked his gun back up.

"It's nice to meet you, Jaden." Kalila said with a bright smile.
"Same here..." Nicholas added expressionless, with a wave. Again, he was always a little more shy than his sister, in the sense of opening up to people. Plus, he thought there group was getting too big. Man, the big groups always get in huge trouble in Zombie movies. We're going to be taken by the waste, bent over, and raped. the metaphor he used was a popular ones amongst the gaming community. His edge wore away as he saw the man crying. "Whoa..."
"Aw! What's wrong?! Don't cry!" Kalila finished, of course with a lot more worry and motherliness. Her tone of voice sounded more like she was begging on the last sentence. It was a thing amongst her, Nina, and Jain, a talking style they shared.
As Mizuki walked off towards David, Kalila and Nicholas were paying to much attention to Jaden to notice. But, they had heard what he said loudly. That resulting in Nicholas re-gripping his gun in a manner that showed his adrenaline was starting to pump and Kalila unsheathed her Katana, realizing she never cleaned the blood off of it. She did this quickly, while still paying attention to Jaden, looking up at him. She wiped the blood on her, now ragged, poofy skirt.

Ada and Nikita were talking amongst themselves in Russian in the doorway. They were talking about the group they got themselves involved with. Ada expressing her dislike of Mizuki for reasons she could not explain, resulting in agreement from Nikita. Again with the Irony, David and Mizuki discussed them at the same time. As Ada and Nikita spoke quickly in their mother tongue, Ada handed Nikita a water bottle she had brought with her from the store. Nikita didn't stop talking as he took the water bottle and a packet of the Dayquile Flu medicine he had gotten for Eri. It had been on the self next to him as he kept the the girl covered behind him earlier. He ripped open the pack and handed the young teenager the pill. Holding the water bottle in front of her to take is she didn't want to dry swallow.

To interrupt everyone from his or her group-pocketed activities, Mizuki spoke up and summoned everyone out. It was a nice way to go out, on a comedic note. There were smiles now on the siblings' faces. Nicholas and Kalila followed Mizuki out first, standing side by side, since they knew they worked best grouped with Mizuki from prior experience. Next to each other, because they knew if it came down to it, they worked the even more in sync with just the two of them.
Ada pushed Nikita and Eri out of the door gently, volunteering their little group for them middle, figuring it was best for Eri's safety to be with Nikita and in the middle.
"So... Since it’s bright and we can see what's coming at us... Should we stay in the open road?" Kalila asked Mizuki in a whisper over his shoulder in a tippy-toed walk as they walked forward. She was very aware of the fact they were outside again, in light, and the infected were not hindered by bad sight as much to a large degree.
"Sh*t... I'm not climbing anymore." Nicholas said in a very stubborn mannerism. He said this quietly over Mizuki's other shoulder, but it wasn't a whisper.

David laughed at Mizuki's false fatherly tone, then leaned over to his son and said, to where only alex could hear, "It's also enevitable, your gonna have to help repopulate too."
"Dad, shut the hell up." Alex stated, pushing his dad away.
David laughed.
Mizuki walked up to him, and said something quitly.
David's face went pale, and emotionless, at the thought of killing the young girl. Killing infected is one thing, they have no moral or emotions, all they think is eat, eat, eat... But that girl is human. She thinks and feels just the same as me... But when worse comes to worse we will have to eventually kill her. David thought. Thinking on the dilema a little longer, when he heard Mizuki yell something to where everyone could hear.
"Ya I'm glad the group is back together also." David said.
David pondered longer, then realized Mizuki had figured out what he was thinking about the little girl.
He looked around, and realized the rest of the group was moving, and so he followed. Him and his son were in the back of the group.
"Stay here." David said to alex, making sure not to give him enough time to ask why.
Putting his speed and manuverability to use, he quickly relocated to the near front of the group. Listening to Kalila's question, then Nicholas's responce, David said, being as careful as possible not to startle them, "Ya, I really don't want to climb again."
He listend to the rest of the conversation then waited untill Kalila and Nicholas weren't paying attention to him. This was difficult considering they where probably wondering why he was up in the front of the group.
As soon as he was positive they wouldn't hear he grabbed Mizuki's shoulder, and spoke into his ear, making sure he was the only one who would hear, "How did you know I knew..." David stopped looking to make sure that the other's weren't listening, "that that girl is infected?"

Mizuki looked back in utter dismay as he noticed Ada and her own little collection - including the girl - following them out.
s**t! He thought, gritting his teeth slightly and averting his gaze. I hadn't banked on this. I thought they'd go their own way. . .
He did think to turn around and tell them all to ******** off. In a cruel to be kind sort of way, Mizuki's priorities would always lie with the siblings, and maybe now with David and Alex and Jaden. But the prior most of all.
He didn't want his charges at risk from the ticking biological time bomb that was hidden so wonderfully inside the guise of an innocent little girl.
He swore quietly to himself and shook his head. Not now. He'd maybe take Ada to the side later - act such a complete d**k that she would storm off of her own account. She didn't seem to like him anyway, so that part would be a breeze. He'd just have to take care not to get shot. He smiled to himself on that thought.

As they stepped further out into the street and Mizuki immediately led them, in what he hoped would be a single file line and had them walked directly next to a building's cold stoney face.
They were masked by mild shadow, and this would held disguise them from anything meandering around upwind, but it didn't provide solid safety.
The wall, however, did.
The idea was that they would be secure, at least, from one side. With a wall backing them they were open to attack from one less angle, and it didn't exactly corner them, so they could run if they needed to - which they probably would.
On Kalila's question Mizuki's face hardened and he grit his teeth harder as he thought.
It was a good question. Though he didn't know how best to answer.
He was torn; main streets would be both quicker and safer in the sense they had more room to move around. But it also left them in the open, too much for Mizuki to be comfortable. They felt far too exposed.
Not wishing to appear indeceisive he looked at Kalila with a small grin and said; "We'll stick to the main streets." as way of agreement. Then turning his eyes back on the road ahead. "It'll give us more room to run and we'll get there quicker."
Raising his voice slightly so all could hear, but not lud enough to create and echo, he warned, "Now the wallmart is a hot spot for food. So we're not likely to be the only ones that are headed for it. There's a very high chance that it'll be crawling with Crazies. And if not them, other sane people. But in hard times there's no telling how they'll react to us coming in and takin precious food stocks. So be on your toes. Be aware also, that gun shots will draw other Crazies in. I'm not saying don't shoot at all, hell no! Just know that there will be more to replace the one you just mowee down so we act fast. I suggest we get in, get out, and make our way back via the rooves."
He shot a grin at Nicho. "Yup. More climbing." Then thinking on the subject he added, "We'll probably be weighed down heavily by that point with supplies, so we may have to create a system. Maybe I'll go across first, people throw their supplies over to me, then come over themselves and repeat. It'll be slow - but - Ah ******** it! We'll cross that bridge when we come to it!"

As soon as Mizuki fell quiet there was a terrible, inarticulate screech as a blurred figure, obscured by the early morning mist, hunched and beastial, lumbered it's way across the street further up the road.
After a few moments it was gone, but its impression lasted long after.
On edge now, Mizuki nearly struck David as his voice suddenly emerged out of nowhere into his ear. He stopped himself and smiled grimly at the words.
Mizuki lowered his own voice so as not to be overheard.
"Written all over your face." Mizuki said simply. "I'd been holed up in there with them for a while and knew something wasn't up. Seems I figured it out not long before you did. The signs add up." He shook his head. "******** mess, isn't it? This whole ******** world is a ******** up mess."

He smiled slightly. "Well I've always liked campfires so I guess it's time to broden my horizens." He took his cue from Nina's calmness. "so would you consider this a date?" ***t it slipped past his mouth. What was he thinking asking someone something like that ina zombie attack. He hadn't really meant to ask her it just slipped out from his mouth. He blushed scarlet and stammered out some quick damage control. "Err. A fine date for err buring zombiies I mean." It sounded completely unbeleivable. Hopefully Nina wouldn't care, or at the least wouldn't think he was an idiot for saying something like that.

"Uh-huh... It'll broaden your horizons in the way of survival and being the ultimate bad@$$. You'd be that quiet guy in the Zombie movies... That everyone’s all 'please! just do something!' and then all of a sudden he kicks major @$$ and everyone’s dumbfounded..." Nina said with a giggle. She was a movie maniac. She'd seen and conquered many movies, especially zombie movies and blockbusters. The people that use to work at the front ticket booth, before this whole mess, always recognized her as soon as she walked in. She would take Kalila, Nicholas, and Jain with her sometimes, so they were known as 'the friends of that one chick that comes every weekend.'
Then Garath spoke and Nina took as a joke immediately, "Yes, a date. An early morning," She pointed out of the window to the sky to show the making its way there. "romantic, zombie-killing date." she said with a wink. Nina was caught off guard though as Garath began to blush and stutter. She blinked in confusion as he spoke. Oh gosh! He's so nervous... she realized as he tried to brush off the issue. She took the chance to change the subject. She hands him the red container of oil. "Have a field day." She said with a smile. The ring of fire was still alight outside, but it was starting to turn smokier with bodies than fiery. "Splash it where ever you want, as long as it doesn't get on the fire escape. We'll throw a match afterwards..." She added with a nod.

"Alright." Kalila responded to Mizuki's answer. She liked the idea of having open space, but she also felt a chill on the back of her neck. The tingling that makes your hairs stand up on end. The whole idea of being stalked or someone watching you. She feared some sort of ambush. They were a big group, and she doubted they could be ambushed badly enough for major injury by creatures that lacked the normal intelligence of human beings, but the idea was still there. Nicholas was completely happy with this because he didn't want to climb and he pretty much was always biased to his sister’s way. If she was happy with it, and he didn't see any major flaw, he was all right with it.
"Dude, we can get much more than just food at Wal-Mart. Yeah... We'll have food, but we'll have guns galore in the hunting section... We'll have clothes... We'll have video games and a T.V..." Nicholas mumbled and trailed off, and his eyes began to sparkle as he mentioned video games. He absent-mindedly grabbed at the Halo 3 logo on his shirt. The white number was now dirty with flecks of dark brown of old blood. The pure white, in general, became off-white just from the climbing, and running, and sweating. Video games were his favorite things in the entire world. At the same time, Kalila was thinking about anime, but she kept her mouth shut. Then to ruin the moment Mizuki added the part about climbing. "Aw! Come on! What complete bullsh*t..." he said raising his voice a little.
"Wait, wait! That's not the plan Nina set up." Kalila piped up, raising her hand like student with an idea. "The idea was to meet Nina and her group there and-" Kalila shut up immediately. There was a screech from an infected up ahead on the street. At first, no detail could be seen. However, as it lumbered off Kalila got a good look at some of its appearance. It was a she and if she was alive, the first word that would come to mind is 'slut.' She had been dresses in skanky lingerie. "Well... There's no doubt how she contracted the virus." Kalila whispered to Nicholas in a disgusted tone of voice, her eyes narrowed, expressing the same thing.
Nicholas had taken to gripping his older sister's arm near him when he heard the screech. His eyes were wide and his breathing increased in pace. This was different. Before, when they knew exactly were each zombie was, the fear was running out of bullets or tiring so much you were caught. Now, the issue was being caught when you least expected it. No, I have to get back to business. Pay attention to my surroundings... Mom and Kalila would always yell at me for that. I guess you don't take things to heart until you really need it. he thought to himself, looking at his sister as she spoke. He had seen the woman infected. As Mizuki and David spoke, Nicholas replied. "Yeah... Dude that would suck so bad." he was slipping back into a joking mood. "Oh God... This guy is so hot and he doesn't have an STD, how lucky!" He said in a high-pitched, sad mimic of a girl's voice. "Sucker! To bad he had a virus that makes your looks go down the drain, makes you a blood thirsty zombie, and then you die." He said in his normal voice, trying to keep from laugh. Kalila giggled into her hand.
"I bet she wished that guy used a condom..." Kalila added. Both siblings now covered a hand over their mouth to keep back the noise of laughing, their bodies shaking with mirth.

Ada and Nikita both almost fired at the creature out of pure reflex. But, luckily Ada was able to put back at the last minute and Nikita saw it run off, deciding it was a waste of a bullet. His work in the Russian Mafia here in New York is what lent to that knowledge, knowing a good shot from a bad one.

They continued forwards talking amongst themselves. But, as they laughed they were more aware of there surroundings then they had before. They used the joking and laughter as a cover to there actual intent, even though there was nothing to hide it from. Or was there? Were these creatures intelligent enough to comprehend that kind of thing?
"Wait! What was I saying?" Kalila asked seriously all of a sudden.
"About what?"
"With Mizuki..."
"Something about Nina."
"Mizuki!" She said quickly jogging forward and tippy-toeing to talk over his shoulder again. "Nina, She wanted us to meet her group at the Wal-Mart. She has a plan for something... She never went into detail. But, if it is the kind of thing we use to joke about... She plans to hoard ourselves inside and use it as a shelter..." Kalila said this in a very shy mannerism. She respected Mizuki to no end, but she knew Nina was an expert. She also knew Nina could plan pretty thoroughly. But, picking sides was a terrible thing. "You want to discuss it with her...?" She added the question bashfully.

[[Bear with me I wrote this while half asleep...]]

"Yes, a ******** mess." David said. David knew that there had to be more to it then that. How does he know the symptoms for an infected? David pondered, but didn't pursue it any further. He would just have to ask him later.
Alex looked with discust at the female infected and in a low, but seriouse, voice said, "Hoe..."
David chuckled slightly at Kalila's final comment.
David listened to everyone's jokes, realizing he was probably the only one not freaked out by their new surroundings.
He watched as is son got jittery and tense. Every sound would cause him to jump, and point his gun. Alex's eyes were wide, and he was sweating, clearly he was not happy by the idea of being open to any type of ambush.
David again moved back to the back of the group, slipping back without anyone noticing.
"Alex..." David said, grabbing his son's shoulder. Alex was startled, turned to point his gun at David. David grabbed the barrel of the gun, twisting it in such a way that it came loose of his son's hands, and used his other hand to twist his son's arm behind his back.
"Calm down." David said, letting go of his son's arm. David gave Alex back the gun, Alex rubbing his wrist from where David grabbed it.
"Sorry, got a little carried away." David appologized, rubbing the back of his head.
"You think." Alex said. David pulled out both of his uzies, at the sound of a trash can getting knocked over in an alley. David continued aiming his guns, when all of a sudden he heard what sounded like a group of infected yelling.
"Crap!" David said under his breath. He hoped the infected would not smell them. Considering how large their group was now, that was nearly impossible.

When an infected snuck up on him, he threw the dagger through it's head in fear.

He sliced one infected in the neck and retrived his other dagger, he cut the air with them once to get the blood off, he then sheathed them while simontaniously kicking an infected in the leg, breaking it's leg and causing it to crash to the ground.

It was at this moment Thomas had the opportunity to take out his naginatas.

He pulled them both out with one fluid movement and killed two infected closing in on him.

There were six more infected near them.

Thomas sheathed one naginata and released the flail on the other, swinging at three infected, it circled around them once and tied them together, he dropped the naginata while they strained and ran towards the other infected. He grabbed one's shoulder, twisted it around and grabbed it by the neck, squeezing harder and harder as it hissed in pain. He picked it up by it's neck and threw it down. As the infected struggled to get up Thomas glanced at it in pity, then curb stomped it's head, smashing it into several squishy damp pieces. He grabbed a single dagger and slit an infected's throat, he kicked it down and punched the other infected in the head, followed by the dagger.

Thomas ran over to the tied up infected, jumped into the air, and kicked all three of their heads in one fatal kick. Their heads fell apart in a mass of cracking squishing flesh. Their bodies tumbled to the ground.

Thomas picked up his Naginata, two of the original ten remained.

We're doing a pretty good jo-

A low rumbling voice echoed through the air.

What the f*ck was that...

Thomas peered into the horizon both ways, when looking in the direction from which this group of infected came, he thought he saw something moving, it was too far to judge it's size.

Seeing as it's howl carried that far, and it's visable from this distance, it's safe too assume it's much bigger than any of us or the infected we've encountered thus far

Another large group of Infected gathered around them. This time there were about fifteen or twenty.

"Terry. We need to get the hell outa here and warn the others of what we just heard."

Thomas grabbed onto the ladder and pulled himself up, kicking one infected in the head and knokcing it over as he strained to lift himself after all of that fightning. Fatigue was overwhleming him.

Mizuki's eyes widened at this new source of information.
"Where was I when this new plot was formulated?" He said in apparent offense. "Off with hell at my heels, no doubt."
Then seeing the mortified look on Kalila's face he slapped a hand to his mouth to smother his laughter. He clipped her affectionately around the back of the head to show that he wasn't in the least bit troubled by this change in plans.
"That's a pretty awesome idea. Only regret is I didn't think of it."
He cast a wistful look to the dawn sky and smiled slightly. The more he thought of it, the more he liked the idea. It had everything you needed under one roof.
Sure, it would be a b*****d of a place to defend, being such a size - but they had numbers right?
Just walking along now they had nine people, though with a quick cursory glance to Ada, Nikita and the strange girl - Mizuki hoped that this number would soon drop down to six. He didn't want to be around when the biological time bomb in the shape of that small girl went off.
And they had left Nina was a small group, he wondered if that had increased since they left.
And how often, when you were a kid, did you day dream about camping out in a store. Eating all the food for free, running havoc amongst the toys. It would bring a new light hearted goodness back which they desperately needed in times like this. Plus - it had the added bonus of not having to lug food supplies back to Nina's - which he was sure Nicholas would be glad of most of all.
Mizuki was kinda shocked that he was taking this so well. In the past he would have argued the ******** out of having his authority undermined. Maybe it was because he agreed with it. Maybe its because all he could really focus on right now with full concentration was getting food. Maybe he was just tired. So damn tired of everything.

He raised his shotgun upon the sounds of infected screams. He reached up and pulled on his goggles without a word. The mask which had magically remained with him all this time despite the broken strap was now placed back over his lower face, as he swiftly and neatly tied the broken strap to the strap of his goggles.
This held the thing in place, but gave it a lopsidedness that should have been comical. But it wasn't.
Listening in he felt the hairs on the back of his neck rise. He began to grind his teeth without really understanding why as his heartrate quickened a beat. The further along the moved the more he was getting hit by strong territoral musks.
Though Mizuki didn't fully understand how he knew - Mizuki knew that the noises were coming from a Crazie sprawl. Over food, over hunting grounds or over spilt blood - he didn't know. All he knew was that there were a lot of them. Not so many that a group their size couldn't handle. Not with all their current fire power.
But it would be a close shot. Mizuki doubted, if the Crazies were all fired up, they could avoid actual physical contact - unless they managed a 100% headshot count.
Inside his stomach squirmed, his adrenaline pumping. He wanted now to shrug off everything that tied him to the side of the 'normals' and fling himself into the heat of battle. He wanted to rip. He wanted to tear. He wanted to kill.
Slowing his pace he shot a glance back to those stood behind him, regarding the carefully through the lenses of his goggles.
"We're downwind." He said softly. As if on cue, an empty crisp packet rattled off down the street in their direction. "There is a slim chance that they are so caught up that we could slip past. A slim one. So be ready."
He looked at David and frowned. "I don't suppose you lot managed to pick up any silencers at the store. Illegal as they are, I was positive somewhere would have them."
He shot a quick glance over his shoulder. Nothing moved further up the street.
But there was a loud and short cry of either agony or extreme rage - that was cut short by a horrid gargling sound. There was the ongoing sounds of struggles, hissing, crashing, barking even, but they seemed tame in comparison to the full blown cries.
"They'd help diguise out shots a lot. As things stand, I know that if I so much fire this baby" he patted his faithful shotgun, "That everything within a mile radius will hear it. It's getting light, and we knew there will be a lot of Crazies lurking around so near to a source of food. I don't wanna draw too much attention."
He looked to the others in the group. "Which brings me to my next point. I vote, rather than tackling the scum, we slip by. Don't take this to mean that you can't shoot at all. If you need to - then of course you ******** have to. But be wary that more will follow, kay?"
Nodding, he started off at a quicker pace. A sort of running walk, hunkered down much like the characters he'd played on Gears of War.
His main perogative now was to reach the mart in one peace. Get inside and secure it - then clean the place of any Crazies that were bound to be dirtying the place up.
