It's just so frustrating and disappoitning. I know there are a lot of 'shannon-haters' out there but gods. This has devestated me. I'm so sick of the Kate/Jack thing and the hatch. Now I have to pin my hopes on Sayid whom I've stuck with steadfastly throughout the series and whom I still love greatly. I just find it so depressing that finally, they really are together and then BANG. Stupid Lady-Sawyer goes beserk and kills her. I want Ana Lucia killed. NOW

wow...quite the episode.....my thoughts are as follows:
First the obviously big deal: Poor Shannon! Personally I never really liked Shannon all that much. She was spoiled and bitchy. Especially at the start of last season. But her relationship with Sayid was starting to open her up, encouraging her to get in touch with her compassionate side. And now she's dead! I've been waiting all of this season for them to tell us whether or not the Shannon/Sayid relationship was going to continue (they hadn't been showing it at all. And then they do and they are clearly a couple and he said that he loved her....oh it was all so sad! You could see it coming, but still so sad. I hadn't read the any spoilers but the episode so strongly pointed to this conclusion.
Now other stuff: Ana Lucia first of all shot Shannon so I am not impressed. But what was annoying me prior to that moment is that she delivers all of her lines in the same tone of voice! She only has one emotion. It is so boring to watch.
Next's week episode about the tail episode...I don't know if I really care. I think I would have been fine with one of the characters just recapping it. I want to see Sayid's reaction, Sawyer's treatment, whether or not Charlie uses the drugs, Bernard reunited with Rose and Jin reunited with Sun.

Exactly. I dont' really have any interest in the next episode. I don't care much about the tailaways. Except Mr. Eko. He is shway cool and I'm a die-hard Oz fan so to see him play something different is quite entertaining. And I think Ana Lucia is pond scum. I don't like the way the actress speaks...she just...she's boring. I'd rather watch Jack and Kate than Ana Lucia...And now the one thing I have to look forwards to is the Rose/Bernard Reunion....

This episode did point strongly towards it's conclusion from the moment shannon and sayid entered the forest...however it doesn't change the fact that Shannon is dead! I was just starting to really get into her character, and that scene with Sayid in the jungle was so perfect...I hope Sayid stabs Ana Lucia, I never liked her in the first place, she had a very shoot now think later type of personality and now I think it's not only lead to shannon's demise but hers as well.
The next episodes will be interesting because they will have to form some kind of a justice system on the island to deal with Ana-Lucia's actions which in the real world would be most likely manslaughter or second degree murder. I'd really like to see how this turns out, however R.I.P Shannon you will be missed.

I'm somewhat upset with what happened on the show. I didn't really like Shannon to begin with in the first season. And now with her opening up a little bit more with Sayid, and their relationship growing, they f*&&#xin;g kill her. I was actually starting to like her, but noooo. Argh. I was somewhat pissed off yesterday, mostly still in shock,them having killed her. Its somewhat obvioius that they wouldn't kill Sawyer, and then watching the previews for the eposide saying, "this is the eposide people will be talking about throughout the season, (something like that)" So we know that someone's going to get killed. Then you see Shannon in the jungle and Ana-Lucia take the gun out, thats when I knew she was a goner.
My opinion is they should of killed off Ana-Lucia, she's just a b***h. Did you guys see when she told Eko, that it was on him, that they lost Lidnsey (I think that was her name) becasue it was his idea to go through the jungle to get to the beach. She should get her a** kicked. I wonder how she feels, for killing Shannon. I bet she's going to be. "Oh its her own fault for running rampedly into the jungle like that, its not my fault that I shot her."
I just want to to see what, Saiyd's going to do to her, and all the people's expressions on the island, when they see Jin, Michael, and Sawyer, and all the tailways surviors, and when they find out more about the others. But in a way next weeks epoisode, might be interesting because that way well know a bit more about he mysteries others and, know what they want with the people they kidnap. I'll probaly end up watching it thoug.

Shannon died because, for all we know, the sex she had with Sayid was unprotected. 3nodding If TV has taught me anything, it's that sex without a condom leads to death.
On a side note, has anyone considered that Ana didn't shoot Shannon? Perhaps Shannon was stabbed off-screen by an other, Ana shot the other, and they watched helplessly as the other staggered away, Shannon died, and Sayid jumped to conclusions? I mean, it's a longshot, but it's a possibility.

Looking back at the final scene, Ana-Lucia's not the killer. There's a shot where Shannon falls dead and you can see the gun in someone's hand, and it's clearly a rifle and not the handgun that Ana has.
Methinks that Sticks has been shot by a certain Scottish hatchling.
