wahmbulance ((Alrighty folks... I got bad news: babylumkins might have to quit the RP. Now... If she quits the RP we all know that is a bad thing since all her characters are pretty wrapped up with all of ours. So here is my plan: We continue RPing... without her characters... As in no one acting them out but kind of, in third person, dragggin them along in the story. So... If babylumpkins wants to join back in when things are less hectic for her... She can. Or we can get a few people to act out each one of her characters fully until she comes back.
Does either one of these plans sound ok to you guys? If it doesn't... What do you think we should do? Please respond to this in a PM to me... If you don't mind.)) wahmbulance

"Oh..." Nina said as Garath explained his position. Well then... That makes me feel kind of bad. I would leave someone out in this if they were criminals, a threat to our security in some way, or something... Nevertheless, I'm glad he doesn't want to leave them behind... "Alright. Good." she said with a nod. At the moment, Jain seemed to be scared into a state of silent shock. She had survived an assault of thousands of zombies and having thousands more, within a short period of time, attacking her location again put her into mild shock. Noticing Jain's wide eyes, clammy skin, and set expression of fear, Nina waved a hand in front of her friend face; once then a couple of times. There was no reaction. "Oh... Jain..." Nina whispered fearfully. She walked the older girl over to the bed that Crimson had been laying in prior. Of course, Jain moved, one foot in front of the other, as Nina pushed her along. She was out at the moment, awake without really being awake. Nina sat her there and went back to Garath.
"You know... That could work. They can get there themselves. The Wal-Mart is only like four miles from here..." Nina said, with an unusual amount of calm. It seemed Jain's shock had worried Nina into a steady place of mind. Jain basically healed Nina's fear ridden mind by weakening into shock before she did. Now her hands were still as she reached for the walkie-talkie, as if life was normal and she was reaching for her cell phone. On the frequency Kalila communicated from before, Nina spoke. "Kalila... Kalila, go to the Wal-Mart. Over." she said simply.
Meanwhile, at the gun store, as the door echoed open, both Kalila's mouth and Nicholas's mouth hung open in disbelief. "You. Are so. STUPID!" Nicholas screeched after the infected's calls were heard. He knew they were already screwed, so he didn't bother staying quiet. "You call yourself a scientist! Blasphemy!" Kalila added after her brother. Right afterwards the fast shuffling of newer infected were heard, She swooped passed everyone and grabbed hold of the door. Before any infected poured in, Kalila slammed the door shut. Dull, loud thuds were heard as a couple bodies rammed the door. "We're dead now. Unless we can be smart and work as a TEAM!" Kalila emphasized. "Yeah David!" Nicholas mocked, yelling over the scratching and banging of infected at the door. "You need to ju- What is that?" he cut himself off to ask as he heard something electronic. "Nina?" "Sh*t." Kalila mumbled. Her hands were shaking with adrenaline as she took of her backpack to get to the walkie-talkie. She got to it and spoke into the device. "Sorry Nina, repeat that please... Over." "Go to the Wal-mart. We'll meet you there. Be careful. We're surrounded by zombies right now. The ones I was telling you about earlier. I'm only, about, four miles from the Wal-mart... So infected might still be in the area. TEN CUIDADO! Jain's in shock right now." Nina spoke a mile a minute trying to get all the information she could. "Oh my God!" was the only thing Kalila managed say in response to so much information. She had heard an array of noises in the background when Nina was talking. She could have sworn she heard moans. "We will. Take care of yourselves! I'm out Nina. I'm busy too. We have a pent in a corner situation. Bye." Nina gasped, "Keep safe. Over and out."
Kalila quickly put the walkie-talkie away and got the bag back on her back. She looked at everyone. Ada right now looked like she was trying to hold back an explosion of colorful language, literally. Her jaw was clenched shut and her face was a bit red. "I have a plan..." Kalila said after a few seconds of infected pounding and scratching at the door. "Someone open the door and immediately starts shooting out, as everyone else with a gun shoot s out the door as well." Then we slowly get our way out of the building and make a mad dash for our lives..." She said slightly sucking on her bottom lip in nervousness. "Well... That was that was anti-climactic..." Nicholas mumbled. "You got any better idea!?" Kalila yelled back frowning. "No." "Then shut up, Nicho!" "Fine! We'll do your stupid plan!" Nicholas yelled back making his way to the door. His speed slowed as the scratching got louder. He gulped and brought his hand up to the handle. He looked back at Kalila. Apparently, Kalila's feelings changed quickly because she stared back at him in worry. "Please hurry. We're right here. We'll back you up... We have to get to Mizuki." Nicholas nodded, looked back to the door, unlocked it, kicked it open in similar fashion to David, and began shooting a millisecond later. The first two bullets hit the door itself. Ada's bullets were added on to his and bodies fell. Nicholas ran forward, taking the lead, Ada right after him, and Kalila after her. Kalila wanted David and Alex in the back for safety. They knew how to handle there guns. Nicholas shot down only the ones directly in front of him. Ada took the hint and got the ones on the sides. They had delay jumped at Nicholas. Nicholas was far ahead. As they fell on to the nothingness behind him they were filled with bullets by Ada. Kalila got the missed ones with excellent swordsmanship, shaped into perfection with fear and adrenaline. Not every infected was completely delayed, though. Nicholas had to kick down some and other times he had to shake some undead from his backpack. Ada most of the time managed to help with a few kicks of her own. Apparently, amongst the group of infected, there were a good many newly turned ones. for unlike the other times, blood managed to spurt from Kalila's victims as she slashed and chopped. Luckily for her, she was wearing her goggles and mask. Nicholas was too busy at the moment, with the head of the group, to look forward to see where a clearing could be. Kalila looked ahead as she had less work to do and saw only about ten feet ahead of Nicholas was the clearing. From that point they could run straight to Mizuki and Ada's cousin's location.
Inside her room, Nina could hear a tow rings got through the metal of the fire escape. One of a smaller body and one bulker body hitting and echoing through the metal. That's definately Thomas and the Sarge... She thought, looking over the sill of the window to confirm it. Hmm... Jain, Nina went through everyone at the house in her mind. Crimson, Garath, Thomas and the Sarge... Where's Reshion?" Nina stood up and looked around (She had been crouching near Garath) for Reshion. No where in sight.... He didn't go outside either. What the Hell? "Now was not the proper time to take a rest... Now was thje time to get ready for escape just in case something happened. He just left us all to be by himself, did he? That's..." Nina drifted off, as she spoke to herself out loud. The fire still roared outside. The smell of oil and gunpowder from the frags was over powering. But, luckily, there were less moans, screeches, and roars of infected. "It seems a good amount of them are gone. But not all of them, yet." She mumbled.

Jaden smiled hearing the growling of the mans stomach, he reaches into his pocket and pulls out another candy bar. He hands it to Mizuki , smiling warmly, after giving him the candy bar Jaden turns around to look out the window. Seems like more and more infected are congregating on this area , if we don't move soon, they could over take us. Jaden turns to Mizuki "When should we move, more and more are coming by the minute , pretty soon it will be too late."

[[2 WEEKS TILL I GO TO GEORGIA, WOO!]] "I said I'm a scientist, not a genius..." David said, rattling off bullits into the infected. Following Kalila and Nicholas, David truthfully had no idea where he was going. Alex knew where they were going, but he stayed behind in the group, trying to defend the rear as best he could. Although Alex had difficulty sometimes reloading his smith and wesson, it being a revolver. Alex fired his gun, causing a bullit to go through the head of an infected, and through the arm of another. He started to reload his gun, when an infected popped out of the shadows of a building. Alex didn't have enough time to react, the infected was about to bite him. Forgeting about their stupid bet, David pulled out his dagger, and shoved it into the infected's mouth, a small part of it sticking out of the back of the infected's head. With an extreme amount of force, David pushed upwards on the dagger, cleaving the infecteds skull in twain, and slicing through it's brain. "You owe me." David said, not paying attention. "Not really." Alex said, pulling out his wakizashi, and slicing of the head of an infected about to attack his dad. Alex finished reloading his smith & wesson, keeping it at the ready, and put his wakizashi back in it's sheath. His dad, being himself, shot anything that moved other then the people in the group. Alex however only shot when it looked like no one else was going to shoot in time, or if they came up from behind.

((Yay! I'm super excited blaugh ))
Kalila heard the conversation between Alex and his father over her shoulder as she kicked down an infected Nicholas and Ada let slide past. As it lay on the ground, attempting to shuffle back up, Kalila took her foot and curb stomped its head. The head did smash, to her surprise. Well then... It was an older zombie. Ha... At least one good comes out of this: I get to be a bad@$$. she thought jokingly. Nicholas's speed was incredible. He had mowed down the infected in front of him and managed to be a good five feet in front of the clumped line that was Ada, Kalila, David, and Alex. He made it to the clearing first and sighed a quick sigh of relief as he looked over his shoulder back at the group behind him, still running. His speed increased as soon as everyone ran into the clearing. "Come on! Let's go!" He yelled. Ada and Kalila quickened there pace managing to stay a good 10 feet behind him. The infected followed closely behind, but the chase also managed to split them up: The newer turned infected, as well as the younger by human age, came to the front of their pack while the older ones fell behind due to their deteriorating joints. However, unfortunately, a good majority of the pack were newer.
Kalila's chest burned with over exertion, her face was flushed bright red, and her throat felt like it was on fire. However, primal need to survive masked the pain. Her katana held down to her left as there were no more infected to fight around her. However, slowly, she was becoming aware of the pains as the mask covered her face from taking in the gulps of fresh air she wanted. In the process of running, her long, curly, wavy, ponytailed hair flowing behind her like a cape, Kalila whipped off her mask. It managed to hitch against her goggles, but slip past, and then get caught in her hair. The importance of that trivial detail, now, was zero. Therefore, she left it there, weighing down her hair. Nicholas looked over his shoulder again and he slowed to about half his speed. Within a few seconds, Ada and Kalila were right next to him. "What's wrong?" Kalila asked as they continued running. "Half of them split..." Nicholas stated a bit confused. "Maybe there's something else alive and easier to catch that they smelled out or something... Or they're fighting with another group of infected like we saw before." As soon as Kalila finished speaking, she was pissed at herself. That wasted too much stamina, talking and running at the same time like that. I can't seem to fill my lungs up enough. "Good... While they're distracted let's split." He increased his speed back to maximum, resulting in unison-irritated sighs from Ada and Kalila. They were behind by 10 feet yet again.
Finally, after curving around the streets to get to their destination, Kalila stopped running by grabbing on to a streetlamp and coming to an immediate halt. There was no sign of infected in the area as Kalila started to cough dryly. Nicholas stopped when he heard the echo of the metal and walked back to his sister as he saw her coughing. As she was hunched over coughing, he took the water bottle from her bag and handed it to her. She drank what she could manage. She new if she drunk too much it would affect her running capability. As the group paused to catch their breath, Nicholas looked around. The GreenLane Food Mart that Mizuki had spoken of was right across from the pharmacy Nikita was suppose to be in, and both were about at the end of the black at the corner. He looked back to his sister. She had noticed it too and stood back up, pushing of the street lamp. The mood was a little too grim for Nicholas so he turned his attention to David and Alex. "Well Mr. Scientist... You ready for more yet? It's right there... Let's do this." He said with a grin. Apparently, having a leadership position, though not his cup of tea when his sister was around, did well for him. He would easily step away from the helm when his sister chose to start the plans again.
The group advanced to the end of the block in a fast paced, highly-aware-of-their-surroundings walk. They were walking more as a group jumbled shape than a line like before. Kalila, Ada, and Nicholas paused as they heard a not so distant screech of a man, no doubt, being chased by an infected. The noise was getting further way from them. "Dude doesn't stand a chance..." Nicholas mumbled, as he was reminded of the man they had first met. What was his name...? Travis? That's right... Travis... The perfect name for a guy who'd never survive a zombie attack. he thought cynically. Kalila quickly blocked the noise from her mind as the strong urge to go help the fellow tugged at her heart. I want to... Nevertheless, I'm not going to risk the lives of these people, who have a higher chance of survival just for one person. Though if the risk wasn't so big... I would, no doubtingly. "Pharmacy." Nicholas piped up in a normal volume of voice. "I saw movement in there." He said, his eyes narrowed at the glass doorway of the building. It was dark inside, but he promised he saw shadows... or Shadowy figure. "If they're infected they would have attacked by now." "Uh-uh, Mizuki said he'd be in the food mart.” Kalila wasn't thinking very logically. "He might have gotten injured and decided he wanted to heal." He said with a frown at his sister. "He probably met up with her cousin and the chick while he was at it." He said pointing to Ada when he indicated her cousin. Kalila gave him an unsure look. SO, Nicholas decided to use emotional appeal. "Or... You know... He didn't make it and died off as zombies-chow." "Fine! We'll go in the f*cking pharmacy. We could use some things from inside anyway." She said grudgingly and, purposefully emanating loud, feminine taps from the soles of her Mary Janes as to alert the people inside to their presence, she ran towards the pharmacy. Even if it wasn’t Mizuki or/and Nikita inside, She thought it nicer not to freak people out by sudden noise without warning. Ada looked relieved that they chose to go to the pharmacy, she wanted to make sure Nikita and Eri were safe. Nicholas didn't stop his older sister, for he figured the area was pretty empty... After all, the infected would have already come out with so many people's scents being added to the area. He looked back to Alex and David and waved them to go to the pharmacy as he followed a few feet behind his sister. "Hey..." Nicholas said casually, a little louder than normal tone to get the people insides attention. It didn’t even hit him that inside there might not even be a familiar person.

Mizuki didn't have time for 'pleases' or 'thank yous', if he didn't sate his hunger now he knew he would turn to something else for susitance. Something, big and meaty. Something like Jaden. He snatched the candy bar from that open hand and wolfed it down, wrapped and all. As the plastic scratched the back of his throat he stuffed a fist inbetween his teeth to silence his coughing. Once more he felt the need to vomit but refused to let himself. If he did, that would be a waste of good candy bars and he needed all the food he could get in his stomach right now. He looked to Jaden for more food but when he spotted that dopey, overly friendly smile he found himself getting annoyed and stormed off across the pharmacy towards the counter. There he found vitamin chews and energy bars. Without a spare thought for Jaden - or indeed for Nikita and that strange girl, he ripped open a packet of chews and upended the box into his mouth. He chewed with teeth that seemed stronger than they shoulder be. Rendered the thick chews into mush within a few grinding rotations of powerful gums and swallowing harshly. In being so seemingly rude and eating without offering to any one else, he was in fact doing them a favour. Sateing his hunger was saving them from being potential victims. Even now he was beginings to get an itch for meat. Was imaginging that the chews he was now circling around his mouth were infact chewy organs. Grunting he grabbed a handful of energy bars and walked back to the front. Only then, spotting the looks on those thoughtful faces did he begrudingly distribute a few to Jaden, before tossing a handful unceremoniously at Nikita and his companion. "God, I'm so hungry." He hissed in excuse. His stomach still growling he tried to pace himself, so as not to arouse suspicions and shoved a few bars into his pockets.
When should we move, more and more are coming by the minute , pretty soon it will be too late. Jaden's words seemed to momentarily snap Mizuki out of his fantasies of bloodshed and managed to fixate his mind and thoughts on the present situation. This granted him a life line and a means to force these thoughts back. He pushed the change away from his thoughts and managed to bottle his hunger and revert to being more human. "Yes." He said, rather distractedly. He blinked slightly and rubbed his face on his sleeve. "We should be heading out soon - I was supposed to meet. . " He was cut short as there was a forceful knock on the door. He hefted his gun immediately and cocked it without hesitation, aiming it at the door, eyes narrowed and muscles tensed. Then - a voice reached his ears. His eyes widened at the familiarity as he let out an obscure yelp of delight. Dropping his gun he ran to the door and flung it open. There he saw a face that made him smile widely with glee. Despite the dried blood that still remained coating his face and neck, and the fact that his goggles still hung limply from his head, his mask pulled around his chin - he looked healthy. A little colour had returned to his cheeks in his excitement and happiness, though dark shadows remained under his eyes. "Nicho!" he hissed happily and reached forwards, seizing a handful of the boy's collar and dragging him forwards into a forceful hug. There he spotted Kalila behind him, looking bedraggled but healthy and grinned even wider. "Thank ******** you're all safe!"

[[Oh ya, well i'm more excited... no wait, you probably are...]] David stuck out his tongue at Nicholas playfully, "What did I say about calling me mister?" He asked, inquisitivly. David got slightly annoyed by Nicholas not answering, but he got over it as he watched Kalila lose her temper. David and Alex both jumped backward as the door to the pharmacy swung open, and a blood covered figure stood in it. David raised his uzi's, but lowered them as he saw the goggles and mask on it. Mizuki's actually alive?... or as alive as he can get. David thought, suprised and happy at the same time. Alex watched as mizuki grabbed Nicholas, hugged him and shot a happy look over to Kalila. "What am I, chopped liver?" David asked, as he noticed Mizuki didn't even look at him. Oh well... He thought, trying to examine if Mizuki had suffered any major injuries. He appeared to be Ok. Although the grin on his face was beggining to creep even Alex out. "Oh well." David said. "Mizuki! I knew you were alive, never doubted it for a minute." David said, almost suprised by how happy he actually sounded. David leaned over to Alex, and said, making sure he was loud enough for Mizuki to hear, "I owe you five bucks." Alex didn't remember them making a bet, but he could take a joke, so he smiled. Alex took this time of, the closest thing to relaxing he was going to get, to reload his Smith & wesson. David did the same with his uzi's. He reached into his backpack and pulled out one of the soda's. Before opening it, he looked at Mizuki and said, "Want it? You look parched..." He said, holding out his hand to let mizuki grab it.

invincible." He tipped no one in particular a short wink and only then did he let Nicholas go, with an affectionate ruffling of his hair. "Sorry," he apologised to the tall teenager, "after all that's happened I probably stink!" Then striking an awkward pose he said, in a melodramatic voice, "But that, children, is a story for another day!" Jesus! Why was he so over excited? Had he really become that attatched to this group. ******** me, even David the earlier object of all his primal hatred looked positively angellic from this new and joyous perspective.
However, as David offered the can, his heart sank slightly. All hunger was suddenly brought back to his immediate attention and thundering speed that nearly knocked him for a loop. His eyes widened and his pupils shrank, but Mizuki attempted to hide this by casually wiping one eye with the back of his hand and closing the other, offering a fake but convincing yawn. Then focusing back on the can, hand trembling slightly with the over exertion of will power, he reached out and gently accepted the can from David. He had made a mistake earlier infront of Jaden by letting his primal hunger overtake his common sense, and had very nearly given away that he might be infected. That was fine - Mizuki somehow doubted whether the big man - friendly and loveable as he was - was perceptive enough to link those two factors together. David however, already suspected. Mizuki's warm feelings towards David began to frost about the edges, replaced by the old and familiar paranoia. Hearing a faint click, Mizuki focused on that intently, using it to pull his concious thought through the haze that was threatening his grip on control. Turning his head he watched Alex reload his handgun and cocked his head to the side with a smile. "Gun store a success story, I see?" He smiled genuinely then held out an expectant hand. "I do hope that you thought about little old me in there. Snatched me another gun, maybe a few rounds for my old faithful," he patted the shotgun barrell at his hip. "I have a few with me, but sods law says they'll run out sooner rather than later."
There was a slight rustle of candy bar wrappers from within the store and smiling, Mizuki beckoned them all into the store with his can weilding hand. "I got someone here who'll be joining our merry little troop, maybe, his name is Jaden. And he's a big ********, but docile as."

((Yup... Definately more excited then you. Me and my brother hand an awesome gift for you ^_^))
When they had been walking... Well Kalila was running, but when they were advancing towards the store Nicholas's thought finally caught up with him. He pushed his way in front of his sister as to protect her. Of course, the older of the two was upset: She was the one who was supposed to do the protecting and she wanted to make sure Mizuki was okay really bad. However, Nicholas cut off any complaints she might have with one glance. I'm sorry Kali... But um... If Mizuki turned into a zombie. He would be one hella bad@$$ one. I'm not letting you go nowhere near him if he's infected... He thought to himself seriously. "Gah!" was the first thing that escaped Nicholas's lips when he saw the Mizuki’s condition. The blood and a ripped lip can do that to a person. "What the-" Was the second thing to came from his lips as Mizuki grappled him in hug. "Ha ha! Man I'm sorry to tell you, I'm not like that: I'm straight." Nicholas finally said jokingly with a huge grin, patting the older guy on the back three times. "Yeah, we're all safe... But, F*ck... I was sure you were a goner." Nicholas added more to the joke, as well as taking the opportunity to poke fun at his sister.
Kalila's hands balled up in fists and put near her face as she jumped up and down with pure happiness. A second later, a quiet, high-pitched squeal left her throat. “You’re alright!” was repeated over and over again in a very thankful manner. After that, she b-lined for Mizuki and her brother and hugged them both, going back to the hopping she started earlier. She stealthily smacked her brother lightly up against the head at his earlier joke. Kalila let go quickly and shot David a glare when he joked, kicking nothingness from the ground in his general direction.
"Right, invinsible... As invinsible as a skinny Asian kid gets at least... That stinks." Nicholas commented with a Cheshire cat grin after his hair was ruffled. Then he patted Mizuki on the arm in the "Dude, I'm just playing manner," grin never leaving his face. Kalila couldn't help but giggle at that and playfully slapped her brother’s arm at that. "What?! I can't help that I completely pwn noobs..." Nicholas said happily. His mood had done a 180 now that they were reunited with Mizuki. They felt like one again. We are so awesome... he thought looking at their group.
"Indeed, indeed!" Kalila piped up at the mention of the gun store. "We have a bunch of ammo now... and a gun expert." she said waving her arms to show off Ada in a very Vana White fashion. Ada smirked and nodded her head in approval of the title. "AND!" Kalila said quickly, swinging her backpack of her back, slamming it on the ground, and bending down on her knees to open it. She happened to bend too fast, managing to hit her katana and sheath on the ground with a noise that freaked her out. She quickly looked to the noise a relaxed, going back to opening the bag. "I've got you covered." She said cheerily, opening the bag angled enough for him to see all the shotgun ammo inside. It wasn't hard to see, Sunlight was starting to creep over the horizon, not a lot, but enough to blink out the majority of the stars and turn the sky a middle shade of blue. "All yours whenever you want to take it." She added. She brought the bag back up after re-zipping it. “Oh! Did you eat yet?” she asked as she remembered. “Doesn’t the back of the pharmacy have any groceries? I’d say stuff your face because we gotta go back to around Nina’s place soon. The plan is we’re going to a Wal-Mart near there and sheltering there. You know, plenty of supplies and stuff…” Kalila mumbled off at the end, realizing, just now wouldn’t be the greatest time for explanation. "Bigger than David? I doubt that... David's about 6'6"... 6'7"ish... Amazing. Let's see how many giants we can gather in one place..." Kalila mumbled, trying to keep the bitter tone from her voice. Skyscraper people everywhere... What the f*ck!? "Big guy you say? Well, we can use all the big guys we can get." Nicholas said in a mixed tone. He was never for letting people join into the group unless they were useful in someway. I'm not letting another 'Travis' join the group. Docile isn’t a good thing... We got plenty of docile with Kali here as it is. He thought harshly. After a few moments, he thought he's cut them some slack, most likely due to his good temperament. Kali will never go down... If she does, it'll be swingin’ n’ fightin’ on… or protecting ME. Maybe this person will be a good addition. Nicholas wandered back towards Alex as his sister walked forward into the store. Ada pushed in front of her and Mizuki to get a glimpse of Nikita. She had feigned calmness, but now that her cousin and Eri were right there in front of her, she could not hold in her worry.
"Bah... Girl's worry too much... Wouldn't you agree?" Nicholas asked Alex in a complaining-ish manner. "The whole time Kali was all 'Oh God, Mizuki! We have to make sure he's alright!' and he's... like... Perfectly fine. And, geez, look at Ada go… Dude... Even Nina, the most laidback person I know, is all 'Ten cuidado....' Was she always this worried, Kali I mean... Like in school and stuff?" he asked the high schooler. To his knowledge, at home she was always worried about her grades. They advanced into the Pharmacy in a wannabe single-file line.

David started to become creeped out by how friendly Mizuki was acting. He started to question himself as to whether this was mizuki at all. His questions subsided as he started to notice the sun coming up. Watching the sun coming up he sighed. It reminded him how he used to watch the sun come up with his wife. It reminded him of how he used to have to work through the night with his wife. It reminded him of alot of things. Most of all it reminded him how much he actually missed his wife. He began to wonder if his wife was ok, and his big smile left his face. Alex looked at his dad, who was staring into deep space, and decided to leave him alone. Alex looked at Nicholas and smiled, "Ya, they do worry alot. Eh whatcha gonna do." Alex said shrugging his shoulders. "You know, now that you mention the fact, I don't remember, but now is not the time to worry about it. If the world keeps up like this there won't be much of any school left." Alex stated with a slight laugh. I am glad I didn't give my all at school, or strive to be popular, because if I did all that work would have gone down the toilet.

Mizuki put up with Nicholas' jibes with a great tolerable smile. As the boy passed him into the pharmacy Mizuki gave him a clean clip to the back of the head; "When did you get so cheeky?" He said playfully, his token cheesy grin back on his lips - though having lost part of its good nature due to the dried blood crusted around it - "Now that I'm back I best enforce some authority back on you guys!" He curled his hands into fists and placed themon his hips, gazing herocially off into some unknown distance above his right shoulder. He attempted to puff out his chest, but the giggles were too close by to allow it. Instead he just shook his head and grinned the whole scenario off.
He watched as this gun expert, Ada rushed forwards into the shop. The way the others had spoken of her made little alarm bells jingle in the back of his mind. Competition for role of leader? His fingers twitched back into a half hearted fist as he cocked his head to the side in contemplation. No, she had her own group. She would take them over us at any stage and he knew that some of the others knew it. Fine. Things were better off that way. The angry primal creations in his brain stopped rattling its cage bars and retreated, brooding and watching, ready to set up the alarm at a moments notice. Now that was over he allowed himself to look at the small girl that was with them properly for the first time. Good god, she was pale! Looked in a mirror lately, sunshine? the something in his head chirruped merrily. Shrugging that off Mizuki looked over her, she looked very ill. Pale, dark circles. Yup, all corresponding with the s**t he would find if he saw his own reflection. It was only natural that this kid would be in shock. I mean, hell! What family had she lost in the last few hours? Or was she unlucky enough to be like himself - and been living in this hell for a few weeks now. But something in his gut told him there was more to it than that. There was a certain sensation about her that caused the hairs on the back of his neck to rise and his pulse to quicken. Something, once more, more primal. But this girl didn't pose much competition for leader. So why was Mizuki getting so threatened and twitchy in her presence, as if there was nothing he would like better than to rip her to pieces? Unless. . . His eyes widened and his mouth went dry. Unless she was infected. His heart ached as he looked to Nikita and this new Ada person. Jesus. Did they know? This theory had started out as a vague hunch, but now he looked through that perspective it seemed like the only explanation. He physically grimaced and looked away . . .
. . . Straight into Kalila's eyes. He winced once more but managed to turn this into some form of smile. Walking close to her, putting himself conciously between the small girl and her he put his arms around her and hugged her gently. "I really am glad your all safe. Nothing to do but soldier on eh?" He patted her head and stepped back, fully aware that the smell of sweat and blood was not becoming. Turning to regard them all he smiled, backing into the shadows and patting Jaden on the chest. "This is Jaden." He grinned. "Make introductions quickly ladies, we're out in five." The tall indian towered about Mizuki in every way, shape and form. Mizuki came up to his mid chest and this guy was at least two and half Mizuki's wide with pure muscle. Backing off he went over to the rack where packets of baby wipes were sold and began to clean off the remaineder of the blood with them. Jesus, he was glad he'd managed to clean himself up a bit before those lot arrived. He was sure had Nicholas been confronted with the state he had been, Mizuki would have a few new breathing holes in his gut by now. And one in his head.

"That's beastly..." Nicholas commented with another grin. "There's one good that came out of this garbage." As they walked forward after the rest of the group and Mizuki held open the door for them all, Nicholas received a swift hit in the back of the head "Ow! Cheeky! I'm not being cheeky." Nicholas said with feigned innocence. "I'm just happy! You're alive, dude! You’re back in the group!" He said grinning again. He laughed at Mizuki's pose. He leaned in and whispered in response to the young man, “David’s a complete moron... He almost got us killed back at the gun shack. I don't even get how he and Alex are related... I pick your authority over his any day." half jokingly. Nicholas was use to being hit a lot; after all, he was a younger sibling. No matter how close siblings were, they always ended up physically fighting somehow.
Ada ran to her cousin and the young girl. She gave Nikita and Eri a quick hug and looked over her shoulders feeling people staring. Nikita continued to guard Eri. He didn't know everyone as well as Ada did, thus took to judging everyone for himself. Ada brushed off the looks of most of the people, but Mizuki's was different. Not knowing exactly what his look meant she gathered Eri and Nikita closer together and backed them off a behind herself a bit.
"Oh... Oh wow... He is big." Kalila whispered to herself wide-eyed. She looked from David to Jaden to David again. "You know what…? I think David's still taller..." She said amazed. Kalila took in the appearance of the inner part of the pharmacy, mostly keeping a weary eye on the dark corners. "Oh d*mn! They'll be able to see us again... freakin' light… she thought looking out a window and comparing it to the darkness of the inner parts of the store. To keep such dismal thoughts out of her head she turned her attention to Ada, Nikita, and Eri. Good... I'm glad. I would have died if I knew I was separated from my brother and he was in a locale where he had to defend himself. Number one killer of women in the U.S., my friend, and thus would get to me: Heart attack... Kalila thought looking away quickly as Ada gave everyone a look for staring at her. A few seconds later, her eyes' vision collided with Mizuki's eyes. Dammit... It's always the eyes... she thought to herself, yet unable to look away from his. She gave a shy smile back, in response to his, as she mouthed, "I'm sorry," thinking she might have been blocking him off. Instead, he seemed to move as if to keep his attention away from something behind her. Kalila involuntarily twitched, ready to turn around and grab her katana. That is, before the rational, non-primal-survival part of her mind kicked in. Mizuki would have responded a lot more violently and swiftly. It wasn't her fault she was constantly ready to hurt something, but it was better for her and everyone around her if she was. Instead, Mizuki hugged her and spoke. Kalila smiled, gave him a quick squeeze of appreciation, making sure to avoid the parts she knew were injured, and made sure to keep her face angled away from the blood on his chest. He turned around to look at everyone else and reluctantly Kalila let go. As he was angled away from her face, Kalila took to blushing and rocking back and forth from her front heel to her back heel. Nicholas got closer to his older sister and frowned. "What...?" Kalila asked at the serious look smeared on her brother‘s face. "Doesn't he stink?" Nicholas said pretending to be serious. "You’re such a douche." She said shoving him hard, yet playfully. "What’s up with you?!" "Nothin'..." He said trying to hold back a smile. His anger at the idea of Mizuki and his sister together was still there, but he decided he would hide it behind jokes, and maybe it would fade away or clear itself up to perfection if he didn’t interfere. Mizuki... Man... We love you. I have no problem accepting you as brother if you did end up with Kalila. But, you're not telling us something important... He remembered why he was a little on edge with Mizuki as soon Mizuki hugged his sister. A feeling was bottled up in him. It was kind of like eating reduced fat foods: sure it taste good, but you know the full fat one taste whole lot better. But, you also know the fat free ones taste a whole lot worse. So, since the beginning, and now reminded of what he felt in the beginning, Nicholas was having trouble deciding if he was a full fat food or a fat free food... At the moment, he was just reduced fat. Nicholas stood back up straight and looked to sister to the back Mizuki's head. Then again this could all just be, what's it called... Shakespear-ish love... um... Unrequited love! he finally recalled the exact word. Kalila had taught him that, they don't teach you that in 7th grade. Kalila may just be fighting a losing battle... In which case... I have no idea how I feel. he thought with a mental sigh. and I am NOT being a jealous brother! he yelled mentally trying to convince himself.
Nicholas, a lot more unobservant than his sister, looked at Jaden for the first time. "Dude! That's garbage! I better be that tall when I get older... Or at least come up to his nose..." Nicholas whispered the last part to himself. To avoid the thought of him being one of the shorter ones in the group (He was use to being one of the taller ones at school) he grabbed his sister by the wrist. "Let's go..." "W-w-wait, wait, wait! I have to get a few things from in here." Kalila said yanking her wrist back. Nicholas grudgingly sighed and wandered to the door. He picked up his battle rifle from its hanging at his waist and held it properly and against his chest, ready to run out. Kalila walked around the isles of the store, amazed at how empty it was. Apparently, within the first few minutes of people realizing just how big of a sh*t hole they would be in if they didn’t take things an leave, people cleaned out every store that even carried a bit of groceries or anything you could survive with. The only thing left with more than, on average, five per individual item was make-up and other things people didn't really care for when they need to survive. Kalila was surprised to see this non-franchise pharmacy was still set up like a Walgreen or a CVS Pharmacy. She went into the first-aid isle and randomly picked things off the shelf and stuffed them into the side pockets of her backpack. Things like bandages of all sorts, anti-bacterial spray, hand sanitizer, and pain-killers. Then she ran in her poofy dressed, cartoon-y style to the snack isle. She picked up random bars of things: Candy bars, protein bars, energy bars, cereal bars, granola bars, Slimfast bars, and any other crazy thing they could eat quickly and just go.
"Food! Eat. We haven't eaten in hours and if we want to keep this running for our lives non-sense up, we better eat. It's a long way back... Well... Technically it's not back, but it is the same area as Nina's." She said tossing a Slimfast bar to everyone. "No... I'm not implying any of you are fat. It's just Slimfast bars are suppose to be meal replacement, thus they are suppose to fill you up, and they’re suppose to have a bunch of vitamins mineral and all that good stuff. So it should keep us full for a while." She said with a nod. She threw another two at Mizuki. "Eat... You haven't eaten in a while AND you've lost blood." She said pulling the water bottle out of her backpack. She held it out. "Drink a lot of water too." "Trust her. She's a chick and chicks know a thing or two about losing blood..." Nicholas piped up, in what he thought was wit. A few seconds later, he was hit in the head with a projectile, which happened to be a Slimfast bar. "My head! Everyone! Just stop hitting my head!" He yelled in frustration. Nikita muffled laughter and took himself and Eri towards the door to wait for the other, while eating the bar. Ada followed after him, gun in hand, and slim fast bar in mouth.
((Holy crap this post sucks! I'm sorry you guys ;_ wink )
